  • Smoking ribs on a Cobb BBQ. I like to cook with lump wood charcoal and I used hickory for the smoke. I used water in the well and cooked the ribs for 3:30 hours. The BBQ sauce that I used was "bone sucking sauce" with a bit of olive oil.

Awesome, learned some new tricks about this. Strangely I never owned a Cobb when I was living in SA, now that I live in Aus I have one and busy learning how to use it properly.

Thanks for that. I’ve been cooking on a Cobb for years, but have never done ribs. I enjoy your explanation and delivery. No need for hype.

The fire box should be made larger! Webber is a better system. Cobb ok for 2 people.

I watched one of your earlier chicken videos, then bought the Cobb. It's been great, but I never thought of cooking ribs vertical way. Might have to try it!

Thanks for commenting. Still loving my Cobb. I'm actually cobbling ribs right now. I find smoking them for an hour or so , then wrapping them in foil and cooking the for another hour and finishing them off with BBQ sauce for about 30 min works very well. Have fun cobbing.

Whatever you did it looks like it works... Carmelized? wasnt sure that was the route to take with the sauce but good factoid

I like he fact that you drilled holes in the griddle, do you know anyone else who has done that?

He did not drill the holes! It’s factory made with holes😂

Watched this for 3 minutes and already learned that i can put water directly into the cobb instead of using a container, and the fire-starters go under the fuel holder!

Don't insult a braai. You have a frankestein weber clone there.
A braai is on coals of wood. Not even charcoal.
    Looks nice though
