I liked a little bit of quiet walking and video of the flower. The crunching of your shoes was a perfect background.
Also what was going on with those fish? Was their water hole drying up?
PCTers : please keep a continual eye on fire status and try to maintain a plan B for evac, if needed. Temps are going WAY UP to record levels and likewise the risk.
insane heat wave starting today and supposed to last until mid July. Best of luck keeping hydrated, cool and safe.

When I thru hiked the PCT in 2010. Belden Town had a music festival. It is a very cool community. Also if you can make Cascade Locks by August 16th weekend. PCT Trail Days is that weekend. It is a huge gathering for 2024 Thru Hikers, past Thru Hikers, and future Hikers. Free camping for 2024 Thru Hikers. I’ll be there Friday and Saturday. Enjoy your hike.
