PCT spelled out with your bodies. Awesome!😮 Congratulations on making it to Washington! This was totally awesome video you made today!
Congrats 🎊🎉🍾🎈
I’ve loved the videos of you walking through the forest in the rain, all misty. Keep expecting elves to pop up.
Thank you from Ramsay’s Granny in New Zealand.
Wait wait wait…tell me you didn’t miss the cascade locks ice cream stop?! ;)
The PCT pool jump was awesome!😊😗☺
All the burned timber in the gorge was caused by a 19 yo punk throwing fireworks, he got probation. Lots of houses burned down.
A little more detail about the gorge fire. There was a forest fire that was started by lightning a couple of days before fire the 3 kids started. That first fire was the Indian Springs fire which was at the end of Eagle Creek canyon. The second fire which was much bigger which was caused on a Labor Day by 3 youth throwing firecrackers down into the canyon. They were down near the mouth of the Eagle Creek canyon. The second fire grew very quickly since we were have strong east winds in the Columbia River area. This trap a group of people in the Eagle Creek canyon who hiked up to tunnel falls and spent the night in that area before they were rescued through Wahtum Lake which had a road into it. The youth were caught but their names were never released because of death threats to them and their families. They did serve a large number of hours in public service for their action. I was living in the evacuation zone during that fire. The 3 youth were in the age group of 14~18.
Mount Saint Helen's, Mount Adams, FIREWEED!
So happy you have gotten this far! Just flyin now!Absolutely the most deserving team! What day did you start at the border?
no mother wants to see that trail on the edge of the cliff 😳
Congratulations 😊
The Eagle Creek Trail was built during the Great Depression. It was a CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) work project during the President Roosevelt years. Timberline Lodge is also one of these CCC projects. The city of Cascade Locks which owns the Bridge of the Gods, is in the process of building a pedestrian walkway over the bridge. The Bridge of the Gods is the only bridge across the Columbia River that allows foot traffic to cross it. 😊
Glad to see you reached the LAST state. Hopefully you can reach your final goal, if not via the primary route, at least then an Alternate route. Need to work on the jumping in before seeking Olympics qualifications though - just kidding. Have fun while it lasts !
Should be St Helen’s and Adams. Mt Rainier should be behind St Helen’s. Helens will be the chopped short one from the eruption in 1980. That’s my guess from that quick view :/
Congratulations!! Another enjoyable video! I ❤️ your enthusiasm!!
Omg one of those trails was
on the edge!!!
Washington!!! Whoo hoo!!! 😮
Lots of pink fireweed growing where the forest has burned.
In UK it’s called rosebay willow herb and grew on the bomb sites in London after WW2. I’m old enough to remember bomb sites that were still around in the 1960s.
Congrats goofballs! "Gorge"ous!
So many times I thought , but didn’t comment that “that’s the best day”! I really think the hike into Cascade Locks was my favorite, along the Eagle Creek, of course it’s only special because you are all so special. Thanks for sharing the love of your tramily and the PCT.
I picked up Turtle and crew in Hood River and drove them to Cascade Locks. Hope everyone is doing well 😎 keep on keeping on. Tell them flower lady says hi!
Awesome video and congrats on finishing Oregon!!
Congrats 🍾 on getting to Washington! Wow!
Cleaning up and cooling down in a nice creek must have been so refreshing.
