  • Jeff Stone gives us a review of a late 1999 model Ducati Monster 900, checking out how it performs and handles, as well as seeing how practical it is. The Monster 900 produces around 71bhp and pulls well from about 2000 revs, right through to around 9000 revs.

Nice review, question, what brand small windbreaker is that mounted above the headlight. Anybody any idea? I want one, but all the ones i see are taller… Don't like the look of that

hello, i was wondering, what's the top speed of this bike please ? i know for a ducati 620 of the same year that's around 190 km/h, so i just wanted to know if it was really faster than the 620, thank you

I don't know for sure what's the top speed of the 1999 900 monster, but what I do know is the the top speed of a 2000 900 monster is 210km/h, so a bit faster than a 620. There may be small differences, since the 2000 model is fuel injected and the 1999 model has carbs.

Acceleration is the bigger difference than top speed

quite underpowered for a 900 but iconically good looking.

There's no difference. Just a 90 degree crank angle
