"Cool Ranch" is not the original flavor of Doritos. There is an original flavor, which just has salt on it. "Cool Ranch" is supposed to be flavored like "ranch" salad dressing -- we Americans eat salads with lots of different flavors of salad dressing, which is another bit of Western cuisine that isn't well-known in China. I agree that flavor doesn't work on chips. As you also noticed, the American idea of "spicy" is ... not that spicy. This is starting to change as our demographics are changing, and a new brand "Takis" is starting to become popular. Look for "Takis Fuego" chips if you can find them -- "fuego" is Spanish for "fire" and even Mexicans would find them spicy.
Although goldfish are popular to give to young kids, they're not just for kids. No, you don't put them in milk like cereal (we only put sweet cereal in milk, not cheesy things). Americans just love cheese!

We put out salty snacks in bars because they pair well with alcohol and sell more drinks. You can put out $0.50 worth in a basket on the bar while people wait to order and they get thirstier and you sell an extra $20 in drinks with the bonus of keeping people waiting occupied happily chatting.

A cracker is savory (like a meal) and a cookie is sweet (like a dessert). A cracker is always crispy, but cookies can be crispy or soft.
There is a spicy version of cheetos but it's still only spicy by American standards.
As someone else mentioned, the nacho cheese flavor of Doritos (the one you liked) is the original flavor (meaning the flavor the product had when it was first introduced, before there were multiple flavors to choose from. not "natural"). Ranch (which is a common flavor in many American foods) is based on Ranch salad dressing, which is the most popular salad dressing in the US. It's not popular elsewhere, and is often called "American" dressing.
Goldfish crackers are a very common snack to give little kids (along with cheerios) and are eaten dry. Goldfish crackers do have a good cheesy flavor, but when stale they taste like nothing.
Sour cream isn't really that sour (nothing like vinegar, certainly). It's a milk product similar to yogurt. It's the base of many types of dip. Since lots of chip flavors are basically a chip plus a "dip" flavor they are named after dips (e.g. sour cream and onion)
If your friend liked those Ritz sandwich crackers because of the cracker she'd probably prefer to just get plain ritz crackers. If you want to see something really weird, there's a famous mock apple pie made from Ritz crackers.

There was an ORIGINAL Doritos corn flavor (like a corn chip, followed by a taco flavor, but neither of them proved to be too popular. It wasn't until nacho cheese flavor was invented that Doritos became popular.

Humans are hardwired to crave sugar, salt and fat because they are both energy-dense and relatively rare in nature. Our evolution hasn't caught up to the fact that these things are super plentiful in the modern world, thus the obesity epidemic.

No. Salt is a "Natural Preservative." The Salt prevents Microorganism from eating the food (doesn't taste good to Microbes?), there by preserving it.
I don't know if the FDA sets the level of salt or company testing. Other videos, have said their countries ( I don't remember which ), use much less salt. Japan seems to use more salt, Quote channel "TabiEats"

The difference between "cookies" and "crackers" is that crackers are typically more savory, as in it's more plain/salty. Cookies are typically sweeter.😊 Goldfish isn't eaten with milk. It's just cheese flavored crackers, lol.❤ Your video was pretty cool❤. Glad you got to try our snacks.😁👍🏾
Btw, agent basically means "a substance that causes a chemical reaction.". So this being a "raising agent", it means that this ingredient is used in the same way as like "yeast" is used to cause your dough to "rise".

Nice reviews totally agree salt and vinegar chips 🤮. Your cookie dunking technique just needs a little work...dunk the cookie long enough that it soaks up milk and just about to fall apart, then try it. You might accidentally go too far sometimes and it breaks off, but it’s all good. You’ll just have some nice cookie bits in your milk 😁

  • @QuizmasterLaw

Crackers are single layer, usually salty, sometimes with no salt, never sweet (U.S. & Canada)
Cookies are almost always sweet, may be one or two layers. If two layers may be called a "sandwich". So an "ice cream sandwich" is two layers of chocolate cake/bread/brownie and in between the sandwich is ice cream. (U.S. English)
Biscuit is British English. Biscuits in Britain may be sweet or salty usually are sweet and are what the U.S> calls a cookie.
Biscuits in the U.S. are never sweet, usually not salty, and are often served with butter or gravy as a side dish in dinner.

You got the wrong cheetos, that was the cheese one. Here are some spicy chips I like:
•Flamin Hot Cheetos (there's Flamin hot lemon also)
    •Xtra Hot Cheetos (hottest Cheetos)
    •Cheetos Flamin Hot Puffs
    •Doritos Spicy Sweet Chilli
•Doritos Flamin Hot Nachos (hotter and different texture than Spicy Doritos)
    •Hot Fritos
    •Funyuns Flamin Hot
    •Takis Fuego
    •Utz Red Hot
•More Doritos (Flama, Flamin Hot Lemon, Dinimita, Tapatio, Blaze)
    •Chester's Hot Fries
