Well, technically not true. Neuvillette also has pointy ears, though they are slightly different. If I were to guess, all of these people are descendent from dragons, or "the vishap people" mentioned in Inazuma/Enkanomiya. 1) Neuvillette has similar ears. They are smaller, but pointy nonetheless. Could be a different thing, could be because he's a sovereign, could be just "artistic style". A weak evidence, but it opens up other sus things 2) The Vidyadhara from Star Rail are a race of dragon-people. Their main defining feature is... pointy ears. Not that they are directly related, just pointing out Hoyo already has a history of giving these ears to dragon people. 3) IIRC, this is the only race we haven't been given a name for. Just "a race blessed with longevity". That's (part) of what Star Rails Vidyadharas are, that's what Genshin's dragons are. Sure, dragons aren't the ONLY long-living race in Genshin, but the point is: Hoyo purposefully avoided giving us only THIS race's name. Why? Well, because it would be a heck of a spoiler if we knew for sure there are dragon-people secretly living among common humans. Anyway, evidence isn't really strong, and it contradicts another theory of mine about Khaenri'ah, but hey, it's a possibility.

Its probably just a coincidence she seems to be taking more on sun motift, i have a theory that she is the embodiment of the sun herself kinda like how there are 3 gods that embody the moon.

Couple of theories: I think Mauvika is using Capitano as the villain for the Natlan tribes. As in a deal with capitano might she wants them to unite or atleast care about & respect the ritualistic war tournament. Also i think that at the end Mauvika was talking to the Pyro sovereign. If true, the pyro sovereign is either weakened after some battle or has been contractually subdued by Mauvika to remain asleep & harmless to the people of Natlan. I think this tournament is used to provide a fuel for the pyro sovereign in a way as in the battles in tournament generates energy somehow for sovereign to sustain on. This is pure speculation based on the early info, which probably will be wrong mostly.
@@thependragone a great plot twist would be if the red haired character is actually the sovereign and the person they're trying to revive is the archon. Since it wasn't specifically said that she's the archon, and that the leaks doesnt really fit her

If she is actually the Pyro archon, her demon name could be Phenex since se appear in a phoenix form and the chapter name is Ode of Resurecction. Is a demon associated with poetry and has the same power of the legendary bird

We already know the pyro archons demon name, its Murata. All the archons demon names have been released long ago, it was their personal name that wasn't released, like how Morax (Geo archons demon name) goes by Zhongli or how Beelzebub (Raiden's demon name) Goes by Raiden ei or shogun.
Except for the Cryo archon, she has a Saint name; Tsaritsa, but we don't know her personal name. (I say personal because some archons use it to hide their identity like Venti and Zhongli)
Has anyone else noticed the subtle khaenri'ah motifs in Mavuika's design? Her earrings and absnormal pupils. The shape of her earrings appears on her back, and going down her clothes. It looks a lot like an Abyss Lector's design and we all know the Abyss Order's asociation with khaenri'ah. Also Chasca's pointy ears lolol

I've been thinking, what if, by "Winners take all", she meant the gnosis. Kinda crazy theory, but what if the prize of the 'tournament' is the pyro gnosis. Would make much more sense for Capitano to participate in it then won't it?

Mavuika and Captiano are really the two characters that attract a lot of attention here not only because of their cool appearance but also because they will be central to the plot of the upcoming Natlan.

Almost feels like the people have very mixed feelings about the event, with many not wanting to bother at all and a few very excited about it. Imagine it usually is indeed just some loud sports competition, but then this time around, when the Traveler happens to come to the nation, the event is actually something more. Really pushing the "Traveler is a catalyst for everything" narrative, huh.
Maybe it isn’t that deep because for Kinich the ball was hitting them while they moving mid air while Citlali is most likely just a shut-in. Both circumstances that are just annoyed with the ball
@@overhaul8416 I didn't mean there was some deep meaning about Kinich throwing the ball into Citlali's house. He watched the ball for a good few moments before saying he passed, and the same goes for Citlali. Which indeed supports the idea they don't want to participate. When I said that people have mixed feelings, I meant that there's not an unanimous opinion about the tournament, there are people that are excited for it, there are people that seem to dislike it, and there are people neutral towards it.
Capitano could be interesting because I believe the character archetype he is based off usually has a cowardly aspect to it and it feels like line "Are you brave enough?" might play around with that idea. A bit more to the idea that Capitano might play more into his is how he is sometimes depicted as someone who fought in South America and comes back to brag about himself.

Ain't no way Hoyo would lose out on making money because they Capitano's gonna make some SERIOUS money. Plus Wriothesley has a somewhat similar build to him with being a bit bulkier with a heavy cape flowing around so the model won't be too much of an issue either
At the same time though, the Harbingers seem to be purposely designed to undermine the archetype of the Commedia character they're named after, like how Tartaglia is the youngest instead of a old man. Maybe they'll do the unexpected with Capitano by doing what IS expected by the archetype of his namesake now that we've gotten used to that not being the case, but it seems more likely that his chivalry and strength are the real deal and that's the subversion of the Capitano archetype and that's all they'll do with his Commedia connection 😅

@@Hhhh22222-w As of know the Traveler lost pretty hard against Arlecchino who is 4th (3rd~1st are said to be on a higher category of power), he will probably need help like he did agasint Raiden to even stand a fighting chance. Narratively speaking it would make more sense for Capitano to win, take the Gnosis and the Traveler has to go to Shneznaya to try and stop them only to find out the truth behind their actions. As it's built up from the trailer, Capitano seems reluctant at the proposition of the Pyro Archon, knowing he doesn't back down from fights he must've made a deal with the Pyro Archon for the Gnosis.
Every nation has a hard-working authority figure with the country's element as their Vision, who always doesn't fit the element's stereotypes. Like, would you say Jean is free as the wind? So we should meet somebody like that in Natlan too. Unless Natlan is such a bad and war-torn place that it doesn't have anybody reasonable in the government. Or maybe doesn't even have anything like a government, just 6 tribes doing whatever they want.
The summer event is once again foreshadows the next story: The color restoration definitely has to do with the idea of "Things burning away, leaving behind discolored ash". There is a scene before Capitano (around 2:04 in the original video or 4:30 in this one) where: -A fire sweeps across -Time stops -Things start to lose color and turn into ash This reminds me of the Mare Jivari which is a place that is described as "a sea of ashes where the wind does not blow". Wind is associated with time in Genshin (see Venti lore) and so this is probably signifies the importance of these themes: death, burning, time stop(?), discoloration, ash and (maybe) rebirth via re-coloration/ignition.
In the description of the video, it talks about “the stars’ flames that we gather”. Might be significant to the story, as to what it signifies exactly, not too sure. We know that the Stars in Teyvat are heavily linked to the Ley Lines, and that Astrologists use the Stars to divine fate using Hydromancy. Is Mavuika trying to use Pyromancy to forge these Stars Fires into a True Fate?
I think that the tournament is a proxy-war to reinstate the Pyro Soverign by making a deal with Capitano, having him act as a common threat to reunite the six tribes against. The six floating flames (tribe sigils) might be the Pyro Soverign’s soul split and needs the Pyro Archon to reunify the tribes.
I think Mavuika is talking to the pyro dragon. I think he is either resting in the primal fire or going to be reborn from it. Hoyo is keeping us waiting for his design apparently.
Why does Mauvika act so familiar with Capitano. My theory is that Capitano maybe one of the previous heroes of Natlan. Like the dude who united Natlan or the one without a saurian companion talked about by Be friends with World bosses guy.
I think that the reason why nobody wants to participate in the tournament is not because the reward is bad. I think that is more because is to risky to participate, before the tournament begins the Pyro Archon says that the competition is only for the winners. And in the video in which each chapter is introduced is said that the winners shall shine bright and the losers being reduced to ashes (Winners get a great reward and losers lost everything maybe even their lives).

Chapter V: Natlan "Incandescent Ode of resurrection" Phoenix: (in classical mythology) a unique bird that lived for five or six centuries in the Arabian desert, after this time burning itself on a funeral pyre and rising from the ashes with renewed youth to live through another cycle Phoenix represents resurrection itself. I have a feeling that Phoenixes are going to be important in the Natlan chapter. Also lets not forget that the last Gnosis needed is the Pyro one. We still don't know what happens when all 7 gnosises come together. Though i remember a theory of the resurrection of 3rd Descender...

Im Latina and live in Costa Rica. Honestly I cant wait to. See what I’ll find in Natlan. The graffiti part is hella accurate and I would love to see my national dish (gallopinto) along with different things like Chifrijo, Pate, Arros con Leche, Torta Chilena, Ceviche, rice and beans, etc
reminds me of bara magna on bionicle six tribes who live only for war, who decided to settle their conflicts with a series of gladiator tournaments except that didn't really go well in the end and a golden hero from another planet arrived, met the locals and saved the day hmmm
some people will always see genshin as a simple gacha game with characters made for fan service, but this game offers much more than that if you dig deeper. The lore, the secrets, that's what keeps me hooked. It's crazy how much story there is to this game. Till now every quest, bigger or smaller had something that you could learn about. Even simple npc's have something to offer. That's why I'll always enjoy playing genshin. Even if it's p2w, you need to appreciate the people that are in charge of the lore and the fact that the game is free, because they're the people that truly make the game uniqe. Srry for the rant, anyway very excited for Natlan!
Also about the GI's Twitter announcing the presented characters in the Natlan Trailer. There were 6 of the characters have their name and VAs written on the left side of the image while the other 2 are written on the right side. This is suspicious to me lol
Another thing I noticed that proved Mavuika could be the Pyro archon is that in the manga it said all Natlan people at that time had red hair, and that was thousands of years ago. Mavuika is the only character introduced in the trailer that has red hair, so it's obvious she's thousands of years old and the red hair color just died away with time.

I DO WANT TO SAY THIS I haven't seen anyone mention this yet but at 4:00 - 4:07 you did say how it could be sports and it's known that the Aztecs had sport tournaments where they had to get the ball in the hoop. The important part of this is that whoever lost has to be sacrificed for the gods (in this case Mavuika/Murata or the pyro dragon even) and the victor became a ruler of the Aztecs/ earned a superior spot. Maybe that is what Mavuika was hinting at! Not to mention sacrifices were a big thing in Mesoamerican Culture. ALSO (yes, more ik) but Mavuika's eyes are quite interesting, similar to Neuvillette's she has an interesting pupil, and since Genshin seems to be talking a little more about the Dragons/Sovereigns maybeee Mavuika is the pyro archon but also the pyro dragon! Especially since the archon disappeared 1000 years ago which compared to all the other archons is a strange time to disappear when most originals archons disappeared 500 years ago. Not to mention a lot of Khanreiahn (not searching up how to spell rn lol) references

I have a feeling that the story is going to be something like we go to natlan-play in the tournament- tournament was actually rigged and pyro archon willingly gave over gnosis to capitano but we still have to fight him in the tournament-we lose and we get the oh fatui are good guys! Now we switch over to their side and that will lead up to snezhnaya. Ofc that’s probably only the first part, the second part could be about the pyro archon themselves and we’ll learn about the oooh~ spooky dark secret that glasses lady has been keeping
Nah, she is 100% a fair and compassionate archon, basically the loser of the tournament will lose their life, its been too long since someone died in the story.
Scara's new life doesn't undo the ~400 years of damage he did and this is an essential part of the 'Irminsul changes records but not true history', Arlech has always been grey - like yeah adopting orphans, but also creating more orphans personally and training all of them as fatui. Dottore remains true to his unethical crazy pos nature. Signora died with no redemption. Only Childe is an otherwise reliable guy in it for the battle lust. Hope this helps ❤

The archons aren't sovereigns, from what I know, the heavenly principles (I think) took the sovereigns powers (Elements) from them and distributed them to the winning gods (Archons). Hence why Neuvillette had regained his powers as the Hydro sovereign when the Hydro archon died and handed authority over Hydro to Neuvillette (This doesn't make Neuvillette an Archon btw, there is no Hydro archon anymore.) It wouldn't make sense if Murata (Pyro archon's demon name) to be a sovereign. If they were friends with the pyro sovereign then maybe. It could be similar to how Zhongli became friends with Azhdaha, which is presumed to be the geo sovereign (this isn't confirmed nor denied).
I think exactly the same thing, it's not impossible for Hoyo to brain everyone and for Mavuika to be the Sovereign Dragon, especially when I notice that "Dragon" is more of a term than an appearance of a Dragon. And that the Flame seen at the end are the remains of the last Archon Pyro or the Archon Pyro himself and therefore this is also why Xbalanque speaks of Neuvillette as if he were his opposite. For me: Xblananque = Pyro Archon = Primal Fire Makuiva = Pyro Dragon Sovereign = Phoenix

Well, technically not true. Neuvillette also has pointy ears, though they are slightly different. If I were to guess, all of these people are descendent from dragons, or "the vishap people" mentioned in Inazuma/Enkanomiya.
1) Neuvillette has similar ears. They are smaller, but pointy nonetheless. Could be a different thing, could be because he's a sovereign, could be just "artistic style". A weak evidence, but it opens up other sus things
2) The Vidyadhara from Star Rail are a race of dragon-people. Their main defining feature is... pointy ears. Not that they are directly related, just pointing out Hoyo already has a history of giving these ears to dragon people.
3) IIRC, this is the only race we haven't been given a name for. Just "a race blessed with longevity". That's (part) of what Star Rails Vidyadharas are, that's what Genshin's dragons are. Sure, dragons aren't the ONLY long-living race in Genshin, but the point is: Hoyo purposefully avoided giving us only THIS race's name. Why? Well, because it would be a heck of a spoiler if we knew for sure there are dragon-people secretly living among common humans.
Anyway, evidence isn't really strong, and it contradicts another theory of mine about Khaenri'ah, but hey, it's a possibility.

Couple of theories:
I think Mauvika is using Capitano as the villain for the Natlan tribes. As in a deal with capitano might she wants them to unite or atleast care about & respect the ritualistic war tournament.
Also i think that at the end Mauvika was talking to the Pyro sovereign. If true, the pyro sovereign is either weakened after some battle or has been contractually subdued by Mauvika to remain asleep & harmless to the people of Natlan.
I think this tournament is used to provide a fuel for the pyro sovereign in a way as in the battles in tournament generates energy somehow for sovereign to sustain on.
This is pure speculation based on the early info, which probably will be wrong mostly.

We already know the pyro archons demon name, its Murata. All the archons demon names have been released long ago, it was their personal name that wasn't released, like how Morax (Geo archons demon name) goes by Zhongli or how Beelzebub (Raiden's demon name) Goes by Raiden ei or shogun.
Except for the Cryo archon, she has a Saint name; Tsaritsa, but we don't know her personal name. (I say personal because some archons use it to hide their identity like Venti and Zhongli)

When I said that people have mixed feelings, I meant that there's not an unanimous opinion about the tournament, there are people that are excited for it, there are people that seem to dislike it, and there are people neutral towards it.
Capitano could be interesting because I believe the character archetype he is based off usually has a cowardly aspect to it and it feels like line "Are you brave enough?" might play around with that idea. A bit more to the idea that Capitano might play more into his is how he is sometimes depicted as someone who fought in South America and comes back to brag about himself.

Ain't no way Hoyo would lose out on making money because they Capitano's gonna make some SERIOUS money. At the same time though, the Harbingers seem to be purposely designed to undermine the archetype of the Commedia character they're named after, like how Tartaglia is the youngest instead of a old man. Maybe they'll do the unexpected with Capitano by doing what IS expected by the archetype of his namesake now that we've gotten used to that not being the case, but it seems more likely that his chivalry and strength are the real deal and that's the subversion of the Capitano archetype and that's all they'll do with his Commedia connection 😅

Narratively speaking it would make more sense for Capitano to win, take the Gnosis and the Traveler has to go to Shneznaya to try and stop them only to find out the truth behind their actions.
As it's built up from the trailer, Capitano seems reluctant at the proposition of the Pyro Archon, knowing he doesn't back down from fights he must've made a deal with the Pyro Archon for the Gnosis.

The summer event is once again foreshadows the next story: The color restoration definitely has to do with the idea of "Things burning away, leaving behind discolored ash".
There is a scene before Capitano (around 2:04 in the original video or 4:30 in this one) where:
-A fire sweeps across
-Time stops
-Things start to lose color and turn into ash
This reminds me of the Mare Jivari which is a place that is described as "a sea of ashes where the wind does not blow". Wind is associated with time in Genshin (see Venti lore) and so this is probably signifies the importance of these themes: death, burning, time stop(?), discoloration, ash and (maybe) rebirth via re-coloration/ignition.
In the description of the video, it talks about “the stars’ flames that we gather”. Might be significant to the story, as to what it signifies exactly, not too sure. We know that the Stars in Teyvat are heavily linked to the Ley Lines, and that Astrologists use the Stars to divine fate using Hydromancy. Is Mavuika trying to use Pyromancy to forge these Stars Fires into a True Fate?
I think that the tournament is a proxy-war to reinstate the Pyro Soverign by making a deal with Capitano, having him act as a common threat to reunite the six tribes against. The six floating flames (tribe sigils) might be the Pyro Soverign’s soul split and needs the Pyro Archon to reunify the tribes.
I think Mavuika is talking to the pyro dragon. I think he is either resting in the primal fire or going to be reborn from it. Hoyo is keeping us waiting for his design apparently.

I think that the reason why nobody wants to participate in the tournament is not because the reward is bad. I think that is more because is to risky to participate, before the tournament begins the Pyro Archon says that the competition is only for the winners. And in the video in which each chapter is introduced is said that the winners shall shine bright and the losers being reduced to ashes (Winners get a great reward and losers lost everything maybe even their lives).
Well, if they are gonna follow the rule the real life game had, then it is understandable they don't want to participate. The winners were killed

Phoenix: (in classical mythology) a unique bird that lived for five or six centuries in the Arabian desert, after this time burning itself on a funeral pyre and rising from the ashes with renewed youth to live through another cycle
Phoenix represents resurrection itself. I have a feeling that Phoenixes are going to be important in the Natlan chapter. Also lets not forget that the last Gnosis needed is the Pyro one. We still don't know what happens when all 7 gnosises come together. Though i remember a theory of the resurrection of 3rd Descender...

except that didn't really go well in the end and a golden hero from another planet arrived, met the locals and saved the day

some people will always see genshin as a simple gacha game with characters made for fan service, but this game offers much more than that if you dig deeper. The lore, the secrets, that's what keeps me hooked. It's crazy how much story there is to this game. Till now every quest, bigger or smaller had something that you could learn about. Even simple npc's have something to offer. That's why I'll always enjoy playing genshin. Even if it's p2w, you need to appreciate the people that are in charge of the lore and the fact that the game is free, because they're the people that truly make the game uniqe. Srry for the rant, anyway very excited for Natlan!

Another thing I noticed that proved Mavuika could be the Pyro archon is that in the manga it said all Natlan people at that time had red hair, and that was thousands of years ago. Mavuika is the only character introduced in the trailer that has red hair, so it's obvious she's thousands of years old and the red hair color just died away with time.

I haven't seen anyone mention this yet but at 4:00 - 4:07 you did say how it could be sports and it's known that the Aztecs had sport tournaments where they had to get the ball in the hoop. The important part of this is that whoever lost has to be sacrificed for the gods (in this case Mavuika/Murata or the pyro dragon even) and the victor became a ruler of the Aztecs/ earned a superior spot. Maybe that is what Mavuika was hinting at! Not to mention sacrifices were a big thing in Mesoamerican Culture.
ALSO (yes, more ik) but Mavuika's eyes are quite interesting, similar to Neuvillette's she has an interesting pupil, and since Genshin seems to be talking a little more about the Dragons/Sovereigns maybeee Mavuika is the pyro archon but also the pyro dragon! Especially since the archon disappeared 1000 years ago which compared to all the other archons is a strange time to disappear when most originals archons disappeared 500 years ago. Not to mention a lot of Khanreiahn (not searching up how to spell rn lol) references

I have a feeling that the story is going to be something like we go to natlan-play in the tournament- tournament was actually rigged and pyro archon willingly gave over gnosis to capitano but we still have to fight him in the tournament-we lose and we get the oh fatui are good guys! Now we switch over to their side and that will lead up to snezhnaya. Ofc that’s probably only the first part, the second part could be about the pyro archon themselves and we’ll learn about the oooh~ spooky dark secret that glasses lady has been keeping

Thanks for doing these lore videos as always, I'm definitely looking forward to Natlan and this seemingly hyped up tournament, at least by some people. ♡
My theories for Mavuika:
First: - She is the Pyro Archon (high likely)
Second: - She is the Pyro Soverign, like Neuvilette is the Hydro Soverign
The archons aren't sovereigns, from what I know, the heavenly principles (I think) took the sovereigns powers (Elements) from them and distributed them to the winning gods (Archons). Hence why Neuvillette had regained his powers as the Hydro sovereign when the Hydro archon died and handed authority over Hydro to Neuvillette (This doesn't make Neuvillette an Archon btw, there is no Hydro archon anymore.)
It wouldn't make sense if Murata (Pyro archon's demon name) to be a sovereign. If they were friends with the pyro sovereign then maybe. It could be similar to how Zhongli became friends with Azhdaha, which is presumed to be the geo sovereign (this isn't confirmed nor denied).
It's not a theory already confirmed

I think exactly the same thing, it's not impossible for Hoyo to brain everyone and for Mavuika to be the Sovereign Dragon, especially when I notice that "Dragon" is more of a term than an appearance of a Dragon.
And that the Flame seen at the end are the remains of the last Archon Pyro or the Archon Pyro himself and therefore this is also why Xbalanque speaks of Neuvillette as if he were his opposite.
For me: Xblananque = Pyro Archon = Primal Fire
Makuiva = Pyro Dragon Sovereign = Phoenix
