Just a recommendation to juniors. If you are from a branch other than CSE. Only buy Windows because as I am in EEE branch no software used to learn in college runs on mac. I have to borrow windows from my friends for almost every assignment.
And also one more thing to remember you can do good programming on windows also + you will be able to do gaming. It makes sense to buy windows during college time.
And for video editing too right, like we will have to buy the software on mac for it to work 😢

For college grads, don't go for mac. Windows have independency to install anything and to learn anything and have not need to buy any software. So, if want to learn more go for windows or Linux. Professionals can go for mac as software are provided and paid by company itself.

In my opinion...No matter what your category is... I'd suggest going for a gaming laptop because it covers everything other laptops can do, and I'd suggest not getting an oled pannel because it'll have burn in issues and you'll have to recalibrate frequently..go for an IPS 100% SRGB/75%NTSC ... I'd recommend having a budget of around 80k.. but 60 to 70k is fine too, The best overall winner here in my opinion would be the Acer Nitro ...but Lenovo's Loq series and The recent king , colourful Evol are offering some seriously good deals
I mean I do hate their battery life

Those who gonna take gaming laptop, always prefer 90whr battery laptop which ever model you've choosen...otherwise in 57whr battery only gives you max to max 2.5hr if you go for 90whr then it'll easily gives you min 5hr and max 7-7.5hrs depending upon your usage like daily task browsing, watching or play media etc

You mentioned macbook for type 1 audience. But apps like power bi are not available in MacBook and most of the apps like my sql are more optimised for windows operating system. So if anyone wants to purchase a laptop they need to understand what apps they'll be running in that laptop.

if any guy who still have some financial problems and can not afford a laptop under 35K you can build a pc for yourself using raspberry pi 5. it is a SBC's and it gonna cost you around 6.5K. then including monitor, storage device , keyboard & mouse you can have yourself a computer at around 15K. And It can support your coding requirenment , webdev and some other which does not require high performances of cpu. so it is good for you as an entry level
