You need to bump the gun up to around 950-97- fps to get the most from those Hybrids. FX recommends that and it is true IME with them in 22, 25, and 30 cal. However, don't expect expansion on animals in spite of the way they are designed. I have a LOT of them recovered from woodchucks, raccoons etc and NON expanded worth mentioning. They either caved in the nose and formed a straight sided cylinder, or the nose bent over sideways. Either way, that limited penetration. The 30's will stack on top of a nickel all day long from my Impact at 75 yards, but the lack of expansion has made me move to Zan slugs. They are accurate and they do expand quite nicely even on stuff like starlings.
Awesome rifle. Personally I would stick with pellets. This rifle is fantastic for Field Target competition. I would buy the HP version for slugs. But I actually enjoy pellets better. Iam not shooting small game past about 50yards anyway. Also pellets have a better BC at low speed. Slugs BC is better at higher speed.
@@cdh3671 I honestly thought slugs work best at 880 ft./s up to about 1000 ft./s, more or less. Sure, you can shoot them slower and a little bit faster then 1000 ft./s., but they work best a tad bit fast. 🤷🏻♂️
That's a nice rifle. For a gun that's not really set up for slugs it did pretty good. Thanks for the great content.

Wiley coyote says he’s highly disappointed in you.
That $3000 gun Almost shoots as fast and good as my $300 break barrel. Great work though.
I have a red wolf, how are you getting the velocity on your phone?
My guess is it's a separate chrono. My FX chrono will communicate with my phone via the FX app and can be set to speak the velocity, etc.
Nice rifle. 👌🏼👍🏼
You need some shoot n see targets. It's difficult to see your shots on the video. Just a suggestion.
My crossman 760 shoots like this.😂 it's to slow need 900s. You're fired ! 😂
Why so slow with the slug speed? 🤷🏻♂️
Exactly, why not show what the electronics in the gun is capable of at higher power.
