    Also in regards to winter: They suggest if you have something like asthma, don't breathe too deeply when outside in freezing or below freezing weather since it does aggravate the windpipe. A nurse told me this. She also told me that you can actually get internal frostbite from breathing cold air too deeply. I would think a mask would help protect one from that.

    7. Shyness (some people just don't like their face and want to hide it. Like if they have a big nose, a scar or odd lips)
    8. Fashion (some people think it looks cool as an accessory)

    In some cities in the US police have what are called "stop and frisk" if you look suspicious. Wearing a mask in public is considered a disguise with intent to commit a crime. Good way to attract the wrong kind of police attention. Only in Japan is wearing a mask encouraged. This is the absolute last thing I want to wear around in my city.

    Ah, but, you neglected radiation fallout. People in Japan also wear masks to avoid breathing in hot particles. Reason number 7.

    • @jhca4671
      @jhca4671 7 лет назад +3

      that's is a invalid point. First, Japanese don't think that way. Second, there is no such things like radiation fallout as you claim. Third, you exaggerated the nuclear disaster just like the western media do. You a disgraceful. Your western arrogance and ignorance deeply disgust me.

      Everything you state s false and Japanese radiation detection stations prove you are incorrect. Japanese people do wear face masks to prevent breathing in radionuclides because they know the air is polluted. The facts are 1) Fukushima is emitting detectable radionuclides 2) TEPCO and JGov burn radioactive waste which emits detectable radionuclides and 3) a disinformation campaign paid for by government and the nuclear industry has existed and is still operational.Did you know that a Chinese man, named Wang, with a seafood import business smuggled ocean products into China and those seafood products had detectable levels of radiation? Are you getting paid for your disinformation? You aren't doing a very good job of it. You should write in your own language. Let the online translators translate for you.

      I've actually wondered myself if my English accent has changed over the time I've been here. It would probably be only natural since I right now solely focus on improving my Japanese pronunciation. But this video was shot only a couple of months after I had arrived, so I think it's still pretty close to my original German accent.

      @@JapaneseJourney Yeah I can hear a little of both. like when you say anything with a hard "R'' it sounds almost like you were raised in Japan. Other words I can hear the German accent

    Not just the Japanese wear surgical masks. Asians in general tend to wear them a lot. I live in a town in England where there are a lot of Asians and even here they wear them and it’s not like we have shit loads of cars polluting the air or have thousands of people walking down the street at one time coughing and sneezing all over the place. So I just don’t get why they feel the need to wear them here in England.

      I've made a video about how to get a visa in Japan: ruclips.net/video/RI-Jy0N6tl0/видео.html please check it to get an overview over the different possibilities.
      If you want to come for training, probably the cultural activities visa is interesting for you (from 5:15). If you want to create your own dojo, you may want to look into the Business Manager Visa (from 4:21).
