A common attitude in the West allied world right now is to oppose Trump, but maintain faith in America as a country. Trump's lack of understanding of global politics, egocentric grandstanding and fondness of dictators is viewed more as his personality and opinions, not necessarily representative of America, all of it's people or the will of congress as a whole. Basically, we're just riding this out until someone politically competent is elected, of either party. Speaking as someone from Australia, with a particular interest in European politics, more educated on English ones. Of course, I could well be wrong.
Well ok, but, he's still president for 5 years. He did achieve the promises that actually brought him votes, like the creation of jobs for the unemployed (mostly by virtue of the global economy being favourable), so I don't think the biggest group of Trump voters will switch. Though nominating Trump again might bring out more uncommitted Democrats to the polling station (must be a crazy thing to talk about for an Australian), so maybe? They have their moments. PM BETTER A NO DEAL..... THAN GIVING THEM WHAT THEY EXPECT TO OBTAIN.
My respect to the speaker and mr Dennis skinner
It would have been funny to see Trump in the house and watch him get absolutely destroyed.
Trump would hit back and hard, something the left are not used to.
And this was 3 years ago.
So much has happened since then.
It's gone from swamp, to sinkhole, to off a cliff.
Well done ! From someone in the USA .....Thanks for your decision to dis-invite Trump ..... for all the right reasons !
Is not forbidden to clap in the House of Commons
D Solis it is😂
It is forbidden. What they say is "hear hear" or "eaaaar"
Well said
Well done
I got goosebumps. I love this country :3
Beautifully spoken as always by John Berkow, I've never heard anyone use or speak our language so well
sorry but *Bercow, not Berkow
otherwise I agree with you :)
Nothing to worry abt. Trump wouldn't understand any of the speaker's words 😜
They invited Obama to speak at the house of commons, but not Trump
@@flobekoe so what
Every American citizen should watch this and take note!
I am and I did.
It's funny how the Tories were just sitting down quiet. They must have hated the idea of Trump not being allowed to address the Houses of Parliament.
God bless John Bercow.
You've got to love the speaker
and his bullying?
we should only let him if if we can resurrect Guy Fawkes.
You mean the guy that was going to blow up The House Of Lords, and kill dozens of innocent people? All that because the king converted to a different form of Christianity that Catholicism. Why him?
inkitatus1 Lmaooo
So Guy Fawkes can blow up the House Of Lords when Trump visits there
inkitatus1 blow up the building just for trump? A bit excessive.
pluto & merlin James I didn't convert, he was raised a Protestant. But it does reference the Gunpowder Plot and the guilty were Catholics.
On the right side of history
This is funny because they invited the King of Saudi Arabia, who is the biggest dictator after Kim Jong Un.
better be a dictator than a moron, imo.
Royalty is different then Dictator google it
@@mobiusZero2
I have and I'm still confused. Would you mind explaining it?
The King of Saudi Arabia probably has better command of the English language than Trump does...
It's always entertaining to watch the Parliament in action...very lively and full of emotion.
Bercow is just too lovable
Probably not to the people who have been bullied.
I’m a Brit who lives in the US. I truly wish American politics could be more like this.
Please stand your ground. As and American, I beg you to please disallow, President Trump, any privlage that gives him a platform to spread his poisonous views on an international platform.
Bercow should never be allowed to speak in the Commons ever again.WE THE PEOPLE OPPOSE HIM
Other people; You ******* ***** ****** *******
John Bercow: I WOULD BE STRONGLY OPPOSED
Parliament is for the ministers and the “members of Parliament”. Not for foreign leaders.
That would have been a better point to make, rather than petty criticism of particular US policies.
From across the Pond to The Right Hon. Mr. Bercow, two words. WELL DONE. Well done indeed.
You dummy
Really?
The ruling party didn't clap
This is modern conservatism : diversity is our greatest strength, mass immigration is enriching and vibrant, and we must make a mighty stand against racism and sexism. You might assume bercow(itz) is a member of Labour. Nope. He’s a Tory. Very soon, in a few short years, it will be a Conservative party principle to state that gay marriage is our greatest strength. You can’t make this up.
I'll pay to watch Trumps reaction watching this clip.... Mr. Bercow remarks and point of views are fully supported... so glad Britain oppose this buffoon back then, and hope still now
Hear, hear!
love the guy. Peuple like that are the reason there's still hope for the UK
You don't mention his bullying.
@@jasonkingshott2971 as a matter of fact, I think he is actually pretty moderate in how he manages the chaos that is Parliament.
@@dias3244 So, carry on bullying then.
@@jasonkingshott2971 I haven't seen him bullying anybody. However, if by 'bullying' you are referring to him keeping order, you might be misunderstanding his role in the Parliament.
@@dias3244 Firstly you are not likely to "see him bullying" unless of course you work within his circles, thought that was rather obvious?
I am not referring to his position as the Speaker, however, he also fails in that too.
The Speaker is the chief officer and highest authority of the House of Commons and must remain politically impartial at all times. It is clear by his actions that he has an anti Brexit agenda. after blocking bids by MPs to rule out second referendum. He and his family drive around in a car with a sticker that says "Bollocks to Brexit".
Bullying - calling ex-commons staffer a 'little girl'. The latest allegations of bullying Angus Sinclair said he faced angry outbursts, undermining, obscene language, and mimicry from Mr Bercow, who also smashed a phone on his desk he is a very nasty man.
Getting rid of this guy you love can't come soon enough, perhaps it is you are very naive or just gullible.
I can’t believe it’s already been 7 years
I.. agree
As a whole democratic desired person of a partly or less than partly democratic countries I feel this speaker of Parliament. The people of the UK are fortunate to be part of this whole system.
My IELTS bands suddenly increased just by listening to him
Actually Trump should not just be allowed to talk, but stand in public place quite either.
Ditto. Well done.
Why not
Bercow would tie Trump into a pretzel if he got out of line. ORDER!
isn't clapping prohibited in the house of commons?
Yes, that's why they say 'here here'. It's their sign of approval.
@@sophiecox8946 Yes but they clapped at the end.
@@little_lotte Ah, didn't realize that. Technically they shouldn't have, but when do MP's listen to rules? 😂
"After Jan 6 I am even even more strongly oppose ..."
LOL. Politically, this speaker goof is not qualified to carry President Trump's balls.
I wonder if Trump ever got this to see/hear. Was he then raging too? Maybe fake UK/fake House?
I live in the UK so I know it's fictional.
Trump wouldn't understand Bercow.
As an American I apologize to UK and the world the agony you must endure by our "legitimate president Trump"'.
Trump's afraid of oceans though. Lots of water. Big water. I doubt he'll make the journey.
Gredddfe Will he even make it across a Pond?
And don’t forget sharks too lol
You know, I'm happy to have heard this, and I think it should be par for the course for Trump. But... izzat wise? Alienating the USA while being in the middle of Brexit, I mean. Who's left for an ally, Russia?
Sincerely, a worried viewer from outside the Anglosphere.
IDK, but him staying for 5 years must be at least considered.
PERIOD!!!!
Who is stupid enough to invite a liar to spoil dinner?
Well said speaker bercow. You are a Star.
"Hear hear!"
2 words...Well Done!!
Welp this aged well the uk is failing
I love this man. Respect from India🇮🇳
