    After getting my 2nd Pfizer vaccine, mandated by my job. I work in Pharmaceuticals. I began feeling lightheaded which caused me to feel nausea a day after receiving the vaccine. I don't have dizziness to the point of the room spinning, just feeling unbalanced and lightheaded which comes and goes. My prior blood work all turned out great. I am just hoping it passes. I get like you too, I start to panic, but I just remember to take deep breaths which is why I bought that Calmigo device. I also had a heart monitor but it showed nothing. It could very well just be inflammation causing the lightheadedness. Try to meditate, eat light, and stay hydrated. Try some tumeric and see if that helps. Tumeric is great for reducing inflammation. The longer is goes on, the most likely it is not serious.

    Hi J. I’m sorry to hear this. You may not know, I am an Asst Professor of Pulmonary Medicine. I have a stressful job, I work every day. When I’m supposed to be in vacation, I end up at work. I watch these videos to escape my daily life for just a few moments, to be entertained and not engulfed by my job.
    I’m sorry to hear about your symptoms. Those symptoms can be scary, and the lack of sleep is concerning. The anxiety you are experiencing is normal but it also can evolve into a feedback loop where the anxiety itself can cause those symptoms. I can’t tell you to do anything other than what you already are doing by going to the doctor. These symptoms are highly irregular for the Pfizer vaccine but with that said every person is different and our bodies will react differently to anything we put into it. Right now the doctors will try to figure out these symptoms, but I’m more curious about the sleep 😴 which of course is a pulmonary disorder. This is a new symptom, did not start with the other symptoms but came on later, correct? My guess is the sleep is unrelated and potentially brought on by the anxiety you are experiencing from the other symptoms. It’s been 36 hrs that is significant. Normal doctors will not be too moved by the sleep issue and will not be able to address it because sleep medicine is a specialty. Just like cardiologists won’t try to diagnose viruses, and cancer doctors are not going to fix your rotator cuff, normal doctors do not handle sleep. it’s the stand out symptom on the list of symptoms. So, don’t take it lightly, make sure your doctors are not overlooking it by instead looking at your other symptoms. If the sleep problem persists, you need to ask your doctors for a sleep consult. Whatever team of doctors are going to be pooled together to look at your case, if the sleep issue persisted or your sleep pattern has changed, you need to insist on a sleep MD on your team.
    .

      I will try to have a helpful response here, I certainly appreciate yours and wow, what luck haha. Pulmonary...
      Anyway, is anxiety always conscious? I suppose not. The first time the feeling of passing out happened, I was driving. I don't think I was anxious about anything particular but when the feeling got stronger, yeah, there was anxiety. Panic, even. Not total panic but some for sure.
      Out of the roughly 11 days ago now, I had 2 nights in a row where I slept pretty normally and easily. I believe the rest before that or after were a struggle of varying degree.
      It is strange that I had a couple nights that were much easier than other nights. What is the variable there? Is it internal or external? Something I ate? Something I was feeling emotionally or something in the air?? Not sure. But I didn't always feel anxious or stressed out. My emotions were not necessarily always sync'd up with the symtoms keeping me from sleep.
      As far as the breathing issue keeping me from sleeping, it was as if my relaxed state of breathing was not enough. So I had to make a conscious effort to breathe deeper as to not feel I would pass out. Naturally, I'd get more tired and relaxed and so would my breathing and then I get the passing out/dizzy/light headed feeling which I respond to by breathing deeper. Of course this response is not without a little anxiety as the feeling of passing out is always a little scary...
      It's difficult because my symptoms are somewhat vague but even if they weren't, the cause isn't necessarily so obvious.
      Considering going out of town for a night or two to some place with really fresh air by the ocean to see if that helps.
      I am also a bit concerned about doctors focusing on the wrong symptoms because they specialize in one thing. They find an issue and focus on that issue when it's really coming from something else, maybe outside of their expertise. I don't want to just run around in some rabbit-hole of trial and error so I'm trying to go to the right people who ask the right questions and ultimately have a productive experience.
      Supposed to have a CT scan of my head but this is before I've even had my lungs really looked at or my breathing checked out by a basic stethoscope or to see if it's something allergy related. Seems a little out of order.

    • @Starbuck-dr7yl
      @Starbuck-dr7yl 3 года назад

      @@JSteezy i'm sorry. This sounds awful. Your symptoms are varied and like you said may not be related to anxiety. I agree, some doctors will fixate on a symptom. That's why you need a team of varying specialties so that one doctor cannot focus on one symptom and ignore the potentially critical ones. Be sure to get second opinions. Make sure you are going to a specialist and not a PC. Make sure you see the MD and not the PA. Not sure where you are but I work at a Pulmonary Hospital in Denver, that's what we do. Lung diseases, COVID, allergies, sleep, asthma, COPD, and some other diseases sprinkled in there. I study the diseases and the other doctors treat the diseases. Just try to relax although that does n't help much. MAke sure to get a 2nd opinion and make sure you are seeing specialists in their field. Request consults. Unfortunately, you have to be on top of your own care and make sure you are receiving what YOU want. If you want your lungs checked, ask why this hasn't been done yet, there may be a reason, and if you can get something scheduled at the same time as the CT. Write down a list of questions to be sure to ask the doctor when you do in. If there is someone who can go with you, take them and have that be their job to ask the questions you have written down and for them to write the answers down because you will not hear the doctor. Trust me on that.

    So I have not had my COVID vaccine yet, but I am getting it this weekend. About 2 weeks ago I randomly woke up feeling super lightheaded and feeling like I was going to pass out. My head felt super numb and tingly and almost like it was floating. I was also really parched for no reason. I also couldn’t sleep. There was 3 days where I actually didn’t get a single minute of sleep. It was awful. That lasted for 5 days and then on day 6 I woke up with a sore throat, my ear was killing me, and my sinuses were really bad. I went to the doctor Friday cause it kept getting worse. I thought maybe I had COVID. I got tested twice for COVID and was negative. I ended up having a middle ear infection and pharyngitis. I’m feeling a lot better now. I was skeptical about the vaccine cause I just have anxiety in general, but I just told myself it’s going to be fine so I made my appointment this weekend. I had a friend who got her second vaccine 3 months ago and is still sick. I’m not sure if it’s related to getting the COVID vaccine though cause she has really bad anxiety that makes her physically ill and her anxiety has been the worst it’s ever been so I don’t think it’s related to the vaccine, but who knows. I have no idea why I was feeling lightheaded and dizzy, almost like having vertigo. Thankfully, I haven’t felt that way since then. I understand how you feel and it sucks. I know laying down really made me feel worse and keeping myself busy made me not think about it. I hope you figure out what’s wrong soon and hopefully it’s nothing serious. Also, I’ve had vertigo a few times in the past and I noticed that sometimes when I get vertigo it happens with a change in air pressure or seasonal changes. Like I got it once a day after being at the beach on vacation. So maybe since allergies are bad and summer is approaching that could be causing it? I honestly don’t know I’m not a doctor lol. Just giving you my personal experience. But anyways I hope you feel better and update us when you get some answers!

      Do you think your ear infection caused the symptoms you had?
      I feel it could be anything. It might be the vaccine, it might be something else. I understand it's extremely unlikely statistically but it seems so ridiculous to literally say it's impossible. Especially after so many messages I have seen about it. It could also be allergies. Tested negative for covid again the other day...
      I wonder if I should get my ears checked. Sometimes my symptoms seem a bit vertigo like but othertimes not. It's strange and vague but still concerning and annoying.
      I will try to do what I can to rule out allergies and ear things...but there is a shortness of breath I am dealing too but it isn't consistent. Makes me lean towards maybe it's allergies. And maybe this subtle shortness of breath is causing the lightheadedness.
      Ugh, who knows...hope this is gone soon. Trying everything I can.

      @@JSteezy I think so because the doctor told me since the ear, nose, and throat are “connected”, my ear infection could be causing me to be congested and have throat irritation. I think you should go see an ENT. I’ve had ear problems in the past and they were extremely helpful and I definitely think your symptoms could be ear related. Especially if you are having vertigo like symptoms cause I know that’s an ear related issue.

    • @JSteezy
      @JSteezy  3 года назад

      @@kateyc8318 Maybe I need to insist a bit more because my descriptors didn't flag anything specific to needing an ENT but I have moments where motion related things definitely affect my dizzyness a bit. But it isn't constant and therefore they think not vertigo but in my opinion, maybe still ENT related...seeing these specialists isn't a cakewalk haha and that's fair but I wish they were a little quicker to help me.

      @@JSteezy I think it definitely wouldn’t hurt to try it! Sometimes finding a doctor that’s not an “expert” but cares more about how you feel and is passionate about finding out what’s wrong is the best case scenario. It must be so tiring having doctors telling you that it will “go away soon” or to “just rest it off”. I’m so sorry you are going through this. I hope you get it figured out soon & you find some helpful information.

      @@kateyc8318 So true and I appreciate your understanding with that. It can certainly be that way sometimes. I have definitely been with doctors who clearly burned out on their job a long time ago and that lack of care in a position where they should care was not a nice feeling and I changed doctors quickly.

    A week after my first Pfizer shot my Tinnitus suddenly got worse and i got a slight headache, dizziness and nausea which has been persistent for the past 10 days. So familiar. I get upset reading this stuff and flashing back to my many hospital visits. I stopped because at some point I just realized it's such a rabbit hole. But I tried to accept that I made the decision and this is my life now. I took many steps to improving my health as much as possible and the sense of doing that maybe gave me a sense of control.Maybe it helped me, maybe it went away on it's own but I feel mostly fine most days. I get this irregular heartbeat I never used to get. Got one earlier today but went nearly 2 weeks without it. Used to happen every few days or sometimes a couple times. Stress generally felt related.
      I don't know what else to say. Doctors seem like a waste of time for this. Physical therapy was kind of nice. I got a specialist for vertigo but she was quick to say I don't have it, even though another doctor diagnosed me with it. Such a mess and a joke, the doctors sometimes.
      I know my fears about the uncertainty made everything wose. That got better with time. Where are you at with things these days? Sounds like some slow improvement? I was messed up for a good 2 months or so.

This is why you have to go with your gut and own your decision. IF everyone would do that and be respectful of the decisions other people make, that would be nice.

    I hear ...1. confusion 2. stress 3. going in circles ( just describing, ok?) Question? Is it possible these are also symptoms, say of neurological disruption?
    I know you need mental rest, STOP thinking using any method, eg.
    meditation, yoga, Qi-gong(not sure, find online), tai-chi,
    many other slowing down things?
    I wonder if somehow relaxing as much as possible, would your brain
    maybe sort some out?
    Try say for a few days?
    Then check back, let us know? There would be changes and I think for the better. But try to list your symptoms, look up.
