Thanks for the review, I just bought one for £50 on E Bay. It arrived yesterday and tried it out on the course, very pleased. One of the reasons I went for this was the fact that you could charge it, I am not a fan of replacing batteries. Like you I agree there is a lot going on in the screen, however in flagpole mode it was fine. Still need to use it again, now that I have read the user manual over breakfast and watched your informative video. Cheers, Mark
Good review. The additional functions are for use when hunting/shooting. In that sense it has a multi purpose. Vibration check is important as it's difficult to keep super still and at that magnification it's bound to shake. At the end of the day it works ok and it's affordable. My question is do you need a GPS system as well as a rangefinder?
Hi. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I don’t think you do need a GPS as well. The only time that would be necessary would be if you didn’t have line of sight because some trees or something was in the way. My son is still using this device and has had no issues. The battery lasts a long time. Regards. Paul
Looks a nice bit of kit, for not a lot of money Paul 👍 You really are going to have to start reading the instructions though 😉 Fulford is looking in cracking nick with that covering of frost and winter sun...you've got yourself a like
There have been a glut of reasonably priced laser range finders of late, Paul. For saying it is well into December, Fulford was looking great on the video. I have a Precision Pro one and it's great. Struggles at times depending on the background and also in misty conditions. The Cigman performed really well.
As someone who hasn’t ever had a rangefinder I was interested to know the reviews on the cigman ct 800 y on RUclips and come across your channel. Thanks for your honest opinion on this product as I didn’t want to pay 400 quid and 70 seems great value to do the same thing. Have gave you a sub cheers.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. My son is really using this device. If you need a new discount code let me know and I’ll sort mate. Thanks for subscribing. I really appreciate it.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Mark. I’m glad the episode was helpful. My son is still using it and the battery last for ages. It’s great.
I presume the speed mode is for hunting?
Glad to see you got it working properly.
