Don't drink Casamigos! It was the worst by far
First let me clearly state that I am not a sommelier. This is my attempt to stumble my way through tasting for quality, and the tasting notes that I reference are far from exhaustive of even what I can taste in these tequilas, let alone a seasoned sommelier.
Additives are used in tequila to mask what is basically agave vodka and pass it off as tequila. Made to the minimums of the law, and with immature agave, most mass scale tequilas are made in a diffuser that strips all of the flavor out of the agave and breaks it down to basically just starch and sugar for fermentation. Then after distillation Additives are you know.. added to the agave vodka stuff to make it taste kindof like Tequila. Yeah, it's gross. Basically your tequila would say "natural and artificial flavors" if they were required to label that...

Tres Agaves : The MOST affordable additive free Tequila that I know of, and they are of decent quality.
Tapatio : Really a fantastic brand.
ArteNOM : The premium labels in this episode. They are dedicated to the Terrior of Tequila, and no two bottles are alike.
They don't make my snifters anymore, I know, it's horrible...

You did good,you definitely Have a good nose and palate ! Cool Vid ! At my local store the Casamigos and Don Julio is locked up,while the good stuff sits out freely.I hope people realize additive free is the only way to go !

That was a fun experiment! Anthony did great in identifying the tequilas we currently have in our bar. Btw, he was not able to view my cheat sheet, lol.

After learning what I have about tequila, and only having additive free tequilas for a while now, going back to casamigos was a shock.
