One thing I would add -- the manufacturer suggests pressing down from the center outward when adhering to the hood, making sure that the center of the deflector is installed first and the outside edges second.
Thanks for watching the video, I appreciate it! That is literally what I said at the 3:00 min mark in the video. You can see that I pull away the tape 3” from the center, line it up and start from the center and move to the outside making sure it’s stuck down all the way along.
Just installed mine. Your video was very helpful! Only thing I did different was I wedged a small piece of corregated cardboard at each end between the hood and fender/trail sights which helped me center the deflector up on the hood. Mine came out perfect! Thanks a million! 🤙
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it glad to know that you found the video useful. Nice idea to use the cardboard, and mentioning it here for people to use as an alternative option to the painters tape, or in addition to it. Thank you!
@@CUPRADESIGN I used the painters tape along the top edge like you did in addition to the cardboard on the ends. Couldn't have asked for a better alignment. Thanks again!
Absolutely, 100%. I wasn't sure at first, never been a fan of the hood deflectors, but in this case, it blends in pretty well and appears to do its job!
Well having the wildtrack grapics on the hood, the deflector takes up alot more real estate than you woukd think. Ford also makes a hood scoop for the raised area on the hood. . Another great video
I’ve seen the scoop but also read recently of a couple of people who have had them fly off and break their windshield. I ‘might’ check one out if it comes up to product test, but not right now. I don’t have the Wildtrak graphics but did create my own, but they don’t interfere with the Aeroskin II. Really happy with how the Aeroskin II has performed so far and would highly recommend it.
Yes absolutely. I was on the fence to start with due to aesthetics, but it has actually really worked well on road trips, so definitely worth doing! Thank you for watching, I appreciate it - more videos coming real soon!
Thank you for this great video. I bought mine from Ford for my '24 Bronco Wildtrak and I was going to have Ford dealership install it for me for a fee (SMH)... but after watching this installation video, I was glad I didn't shell out $$ to have Ford do it for me. 😁
Awesome! Thanks so much for the feedback, I appreciate it. I’m also all about saving some $$$ where I can. Glad this video helped you out, and thanks for watching! Consider subscribing if you haven’t already! Thanks!
I already put one on mine just wanted to watch the video anyway. Yeah it's pretty easy and works great and also looks awesome. I love what you did with the BRONCO lettering on the grill.
Thank you for taking the time to watch the video even tho you’ve already installed yours! I really appreciate it! I wasn’t sure at first but I really think that the design really does help with bugs and dare I say it, rock chips too. And thank you, the letters were one of the first things I did. They are done completely by me, designed, cut out, overlaid and installed. Wanted something unique and gothic looking.
@@2788Flyers - Yes, I still have the deflector installed and it’s holding up great. Not fading or discoloration. I do keep it waxed and protected tho. Hope that helps.
@@CUPRADESIGN ok great to hear that. I will keep up with it with detailing spray and wax like you said. Thanks for your time and keep up the great install videos you do for the Bronco community.
@@2788Flyers - Awesome! Now, due to the texture, don’t use any ‘white’ waxes or cleaners otherwise it’s going to get into the texture and be a pain to get out again. I use the Meguiars Quik Wax and Quik Detailer on it. It’s clear and has been working perfectly for a year now.
Thank you for the video. I always like the clear instructions and overview. I really like the look of the hood with the deflector. I pulled the trigger on getting one after your video. Keep up the great work.
@Cahill4225 - That’s awesome, you won’t regret it at all. We’ve had ours on for over 18 months now and haven’t had any issues at all. I really believe that it’s saved our windshield a few times… at least I think it has! Thank you so much for the feedback and thank you for watching!
Thanks very much for watching, I appreciate it! Good luck with the delivery of your Bronco, bet you can’t wait! We were in the same situation last year, picked ours up in January this year after waiting 4 months for it. Enjoy!
@@haroldbanks5388 Oh yikes, so sorry to hear that. We really did luck into an allocation with our dealership. Ordered our 2021 on Sept 14, 2021, arrived Jan 8, 2022. I’ve had a 2023 Camaro SS Convertible on order since April 30, 2022. It’s finally (allegedly) going to be built tomorrow, fingers crossed!
In the last year of you having this would you say it’s good at deflecting rocks from the windshield? Or do you think a taller one would be better for that?
Great question, I was skeptical at putting this on to start with as I’ve never liked the look of these things. But after a year with it on, I think the Bronco would look odd without it on, and probably have a lot more chips in the paint on the hood. This in the taller version if memory serves me correctly. And it’s been great at keeping the windshield damage free, so far. Really glad we have it installed. Hope that helps you!
@@CUPRADESIGN amazing thank you!! They do make a taller one so it looks like I’ll be ordering that and installing it! They make some side covers that you might like that adds to the look of these! You should check those out!

@EvilDave-iz2zg - Sorry to hear that. Been almost two years now that we’ve had the deflector on and never had any kind of whistling at all. Did you happen to add anything else at the same time?
@TheChuck1960 - I actually had to go out of town the following day so it sat for about 12 hours before I drove off. Here we are 1 year and over 10,000 views and the Aeroskin II is still holding on strong. Not had any issues at all!
Hey Alan, thanks for the feedback on the video and I’m glad that you found it useful! As for additional noise, we didn’t notice any extra noise and the hood doesn’t rattle at all. All in all been a nice solid addition to the Bronco. And I’m not a fan of these thing but after seeing how easy the windshields are being broken, wanted to do something to mitigate the risk of rock chips! Hope that helps.
@@CUPRADESIGN That's good to hear. I'm going to purchase one of these now based on your video and comments. I already have a rock chip in my windshield after 500 mi of use so I want to avoid another one since I'm going on a long trip soon. Thanks again!
@@alantan6786 - That’s great, I think it will help. However, I can’t guarantee you won’t get and rock chips, so please don’t blame me if it happens! I used that prep kit and it started to discolor, something that i havent seen before, so i wiped it off with more alcohol and installed it like that. Do you think thats still fine? Im sure its no big deal and itll hold as normal
I think you should be good as long as you didn’t drive it too soon after adhering it to the hood. If you left it to cure then you should be good to go. Thank you for watching, I really appreciate it!
So… prior to installing it, all we had ever done was drive around town. We only have 2800 miles on it since January. This was our first road trip, a little over 500 miles round trip, and we averaged 18.6mpg at 75mph. Hopefully that helps.
Hey Jason, at the 4:39 mark in the video I go close in to show the texture right next to the trail sights. Now the Aeroskin II is an OEM Ford accessory and it does NOT match the trail sights as they are smooth, but it does match the fender flares perfectly. Overall it’s a great addition to the Bronco, I was skeptical at first as I’ve never liked bug guards but this one really seems to work well, again referenced in the video. I have since switched out my trail sights anyways to some aftermarket ones with lights in them. Hope that helps.
To be honest, it’s just plastic and adhesive. It should be ok. However, personally, I would wait till there is no threat of rain. Just to make sure that it’s going to stay put. A little patience now will pay off in the future. But if you can’t wait, then it should be ok as long as you get it stuck down before the rain.
No, nothing of note. The hoods are pretty thin and light, but so far it’s been great. I’ve heard the AVS version has caused the hood flutter, but this Ford Performance one hasn’t caused an issue.
