- Welcome to the Pinhoti Trail! I’m starting my thru hike of this National Recreation Trail today. I will be hiking from the Southern Terminus at Flagg Mountain in Alabama 350 miles north to the Benton MacKaye Trail in North Georgia, where the Pinhoti ends.

Thankful for the informative video. Just curious… so many posters are putting music on the videos. I wish they didn’t. What happened to just listening to the sounds of nature.
Sometimes I use music when the nature sounds are not pleasant - wind, people chattering, poles clicking, etc. I prefer nature sounds, but music seems nicer than silence on muted clips.
