    you can lose the parchment piece your holding and just use your glove.. its much more effective.. because two things are happening in this video.. you want to charge the resin statically. but you also want to force contaminant thru the tighter 200LPI mesh screen.. Once that is done, you have the magic.. Use your hand and run it in a circular motion and you will find this work will get done much quicker and the resin will be even purer. :)

      If you’re rubbing your hand over it to push contaminant through wouldn’t it also push the trichome heads through? Wouldn’t see why not considering heads are WAY smaller than contaminate

      Thanks for your comment. The triboelectric charge on the parchment when measured with an electrostatic meter was 4 times greater than on the glove. Both items hold different charges and serve different purposes. We use the differences in charge potentials to accomplish different goals.

      At different mesh sizes progressively smaller heads make it through. The mesh serves as a means to separate heads from stalks and to tribocharge the particles.

      @@SamboCreeckFiltration everything charges in the resin.. so the glove is better at pushing the resin thru while creating the charge needed to get just the heads to stick to the glove. ( I have been doing this almost ten years ) The triboelectric charge is less important than you may think. Its the combination of pushing material thru the screen and charging it that makes this process magic :)

    • @BCbubbleman
      @BCbubbleman 2 года назад +10

      @@SamboCreeckFiltration the problem with that theoretical is that both stalks and heads charge the same.. the reason this process works is not just the charging.. its the PUSHING OF CONTAMINANTS THRU THE TIGHTER HOLED SCREEN. this is why this is such a unique process

    I watched an afgan hash making video and that's basically what they were doing. Two paddles moving the material back and forth and creating a static charge in the paddles and every once in a while they'd remove the trichomes into the collection vessel. This was the high end keeper pile and the lower quality kief fell through.

    Sifting it works but I also use the Smokenbull bump, You can use a rolling trey or any light weight movable surface, Tilt the trey a little and tap to top of it, Move the material to the top, You can separate seeds or sticks or stems from your herb the same ways, Gravity and vibration can cause things to more uphill against gravity! Experiment with it, The Smokenbull bumb was converted to herb from gold pan separation by a man they called The Buzzard! GPAA founder! It works on weed to, but it can also separate light partials on a level no screen can do... After all the screening use the Smokenbull bump! It works! I'm old...I know things lol😊 🔥 🐃 Aho.

    Hi, i have a question please.
    Im trying to make static but the problems i face is sometimes i catch heads but fewer and i can see some contaminants are catched too( broken pestils...) sometimes i see clean heads, but next roll i dont catch nothing, i remarked also that i need to change the part of the glove that been using to rub then i can catch something, sometimes the glove is useful only 1 or 2 times. Then i cant catch nothing. Sometimes i catch only contaminants and i found no heads. What is my problem?
    I appreciate ur answer
    And if u have an IG page i would love to follow you

    So you're basically planting trichome stalks into the bottom mat using opposing electrostatic charges, then "Cleaving" the heads off, collecting, and repeating the process. I would assume that friction and the heat from your hand would cause the material to start rolling up. How does this not happen?

    • @SamboCreeckFiltration
      @SamboCreeckFiltration  Год назад

      Not all stalks fall through the mesh, most don’t. We separate by static after the decapitation process. The balling up depends on temperature, humidity, and technique. It takes a bit of practice.

    Whew I just sifted a half pound of trim and wound up with mostly sift that went thru the 275µ work screen, barely anything thru the 175µ and 75µ. Would this work on trash hash that's mostly containment? I figure with over 30g of it it's worth a shot. If I come away with even a few grams of decent sift for rosin, it will have paid for the screens and supplies. I don't use edibles so green dragon is out.

      @@SamboCreeckFiltration Update: 40g of junk sift and glove tech got it down to a little over 8g of decent sift and just over 1.5g of slightly better sift, along with over 10g of assorted stuff that fell thru the screen and non-green that I scraped off the screen. I just wiped and repeated putting my hand on a cold plate, until there was little to nothing staying on the gloves. Most important part was wiping the screen down after each interval... I wonder how that much green was invisible to the naked eye. It was pretty encouraging when my sift started looking better under the mic after each pass--I did 3 rounds of it altogether on each grade.
      Worth it for the education alone, and a much better sifting setup. Tomorrow is the moment of truth when we press. If it's not green or dark and it's even a hint of yellow, I may have to curb the excitement to avoid disturbing the peace. Might disturb the peace anyway if the results are good enough! First wanted to say thank you for creating such informative and in depth content! I am very grateful that I can find people like yourselves willing to share your knowledge on something I am so passionate about.
    Had a quick question for you as I don't think I caught this info, but I may have missed it. What is the age of your starting material that you are using and roughly what is the relative humidity (RH%) of the material when you are dry sifting it?
    The reason I ask is if I have a very resinous starting material that sticks to your gloves/fingers simply from touching it and its at ~58% RH, do I want this to be much drier? However, my concern is that by drying it out more, I would be losing/damaging some of the terpenes and trich heads, or is that not the case?
    Anyways, thank you again and I appreciate in advance your time!

    Have you ever spent days or weeks trying to achieve a 99.8% purity?
    I'd say all you "hash makers" have multiple times. lol
    Who has achieved the highest percentage pure, amongst you professionals? lol
    Been studying for days now, trying to construct makeshift screens or find another way to pull contaminants without screens.
    Is there another way?
    I didn't want to pull out the washing machine. lol

      The end result is worthwhile if your starting material is not the best. It's also a great way to separate heads from stalks. We are working on an automated version of this process for large labs.

      Hello. Thanks for your comment! I checked out your RUclips channel and did not see anything about the triboelectric process. We would love to learn more if you have posted elsewhere about it. When we posted this video ther wasn’t much about it on the internet. We think the technique is cool and we make educational videos because we beleive the community as a whole benefits when information is open source.
