She wasn't being "pitchy" she wasn't "doing too much" she was putting all of the emotions into the song and it worked really well as you can tell by her current career
Let's face it.. cher lloyd would sell millions of records.. the other one wouldn't hit the chart 100.. we live in a superficial world.
Um, is it just me? She sounds rather fine to me. Sure she sounds a bit shaky coz she's trying hard not to cry. But still it wasn't that bad.

Everytime from Britney is a very difficult song too sing, the're is much emotion in it you can't sing it unless you can feel the pain and the know meaning of the song. Cher did a good job :)

Cher's voice isn't fitted for ballads or any slow songs.... Her voice is best with R&B and pop

I didn’t know Cher Lloyd and One Direction came from the same year until now.
This song is very hard to sing, so many have over sung this or throw the wrong keys in because its so simple that a person with great vocal ability have a hard time with it yet Cher is one of the only few that can pull it off flawlessly and with her own personal touch :)
No one notices how hard it was for her. She's nervous, crying, depressed... I'm proud of you Cher. Look how far you've made it.
All I can honestly comprehend, is how 1D can walk away barely showing any emotion in their songs, and then You see Cher here, singing such a powerful song, capturing the emotions of the piece, in tears because singing is her passion. Everytime is so difficult to sing because you have to understand what pain really feels like to sing it properly. I honestly, didn't think 1D was that good at singing, the real reason they made it through was for 1. Looks, 2. Fan Base 3. Simon. Cher came thorugh because of 1. Passion 2. Carrier 3. Support. This is what she believed in, and you could tell in this song! Overall great performance! <333
When Cher whispers "it's okay" to Simon when he has to choose is the most amazing thing bc he chose her
For anyone saying she can't sing, take a look at her song sirens, it shows she really can sing and it's an amazing song!
When she was actually on The X Factor back when, I admit I didn't like her much. But now I'm rewatching her performances and saying to myself "what was I thinking?" I actually like her performances.
This performance is very emotional. I can feel her pain. It breaks my heart.
For those who said she can't sing this song can't you tell she was trying to not cry ... But she was staying strong as you can see at the end of her song she finally let her tears out
