Thanks 💗 There's not a lot of us runners, but we do what we can 😊 The new skips are the instant death glitch (the one with the save before clover loss) by Kuky_Bro, and of course the FunFrock cutscene skip by AmaNeko 🐱 (sub-23 soon-ish 🤭)
@@EPmager It's really impressive. The runs were not evolving much from the past few years and then, suddenly, new major glitches. Can't wait for the runners to find new way to break the game. (Good luck with that :) )
@@Condetg thanks again 🧡 Well, for that we need more active runners! Know a place where we can get some? 😏 We've had a WR bounty for a couple months to lure some in, hasn't worked much so far 🤭
@@EPmager I know... That's a shame. I do not but... There is still hope. "LBA3" or at least a new LBA is on the making. Maybe it will make new players take a look at the originals and bring some new runners too... :)
Always love watching these! So much nostalgia. Tried to blindfold run this for fun (never did any speedruns before) but sadly there aint any audio cues or alignment methods I could find :(
Thanks for the lovely comment ✨️ In regards to the possibility of a blind run - the one method of aligning yourself you could try are dodges/strafe (via X). But even then it's pretty much the same hell
@@EPmager Yeah that's as close as I came. Had a route mapped from the start up until the Ship, including getting the Tunica, but the issue is that sometimes the dodges make Twinsen rotate a bit, so it's easy to loose control of the direction you are facing. I actually found a way how to turn (to interact), without actually turning, and it had something to do with entering the museum window and leaving it again, which also was the only thing I found that normalizes the direction you are facing. But no luck after that. Thanks for your idea tho :)
@@EPmager yep from start till the end. there was no widespread internet those days, there werent much guides, so we made everything ourselves... some tasks were really hard for my age I was at school.
@@TalonMerc I know, right? Would be even worse for Raph if we then got the bad ending 😈 P. S.: lovely username you’ve got there-always great to find someone who’s both an LBA fan _and_ a Fallout fan ☢️
Well that’s just not true. You can throw the ball before you get the tunic, it’s just that it won’t bounce until we’ve got it-OR until we’ve passed the failsafe point by entering Rick’s bar on Otringal which instantly gives us Lvl3 magic & makes the game think we’re wearing the tunic.
Yoo are you the guy from RandomAttributes chat, when he streamed LBA2? Hahaha.. I watched that Let's Play so often that your name stuck with me. Now gotta binge your content! Edit: I always thought it was EP Major :P
Hey there! Yeah, I watched his LBA2 streams, really enjoyed the playthrough. And indeed, my alias used to be ‘ep major’-just didn’t think it made much sense 😝 There’s not much to binge through here, just my speedrun archive mostly without commentary. I recorded a tutorial all the way back in January but haven’t been arsed with editing it 🫣 You could join the LBA Community Discord server if you want to see some cool speedrun thingy-me-bobs. There’s also currently a €100 reward for world record for any new runner, if that sounds interesting 😜
@@EPmager I do enjoy the speedruns, too! I once actually tried speedrunning the game blindfolded, after having watched SM64 and Dark Souls blindfolded runs, however, I failed to find any normalization technique (a method to ensure some sort of alignment, like knowing based on sound cues that youre in a corner, or moving a fixed amount of units with a fixed action), which made me give up :( But I'll glady join the discord! :)
@@Sebastianabc-if2gn the one way to move by fixed increments that we know of in LBA2 is the ‘Sidestep/Evade’ key which by default is bound to X. While it seems a sound way to advance forwards or backwards, doing it sideways has been reported to turn Twinsen a little bit with each sidestep, making it less reliable. The only person to try running blindfolded on my memory has been AmaNeko (the guy who found the FunFrock reveal cutscene skip), but I don’t recall him making much use of the sidestep or finding any other strat. Nonetheless, the discord link is in the description-we’re always happy to discuss any category/challenge and the strats related to it! 🌺 P.S. wait a second-is the other commenter in this thread also you? He also has Sebastian in the username & was talking about blindfolded runs 🤔
The fact that he beats the game without even changing clothes is utter disrespect
Really cool run. So much new skips recently, really happy to see this game still getting love.

I managed the skip without saveload. I jumped from the train and turned around so the damage pushed me backwards

is this some new version of the game? so many completely unfamiliar places for me... I went through this game in a completely different way...
Nope, it’s the same old LBA2. That’s what a speedrun is all about! We skip entire sections of the game by using some trickery 😉
Full of bugcheats.
No cheat code was entered throughout the run 😛 If you want to see a ‘real’ run (no skips), check out the Glitchless record by Mavelusbr
