I just pass here to say, 20 years ago I play this game, and until today, I consider one of the most beautiful and important games in the history of games, and unfortunately, it is a very underrated game.
Yes what a personal game this is. It's both homely and warm - but also distant and eerie. So many 1990's DOS games felt like that, it's impossible to describe but think anyone who was a kid/teen back then know what I mean.
Everything about this game is gorgeous and magical. So many memories ! I played this while in highschool, one of the best graphic adventure games I´ve played, I´m 29 now. I recommend this game to everyone, wonderful experience ! :) :D
So many memories! I remember being blown away by the graphics, game play and addictive story line. I use to listen to music while playing so Twinsen would dance lol
My mom gave it to me when I turned 10, 1999 .. now I am 30 ... maybe it was the best gift that I could have ever gotten ... great time .. I wish I could back in time ..
Whoa. Nostalgia trip ! For 20 years the beginning of this game has been in my mind... The island, storm and creepy figures. Thanks for going to the effort of posting this !
I miss playing this game...my dad got this for me for a late birthday gift when I had turned 13 in 1998 after playing the demo of the game that was on a PC Gamer disc they distributed with their magazines. It seems I heard a lot of those sound effects in the LBA games just about everywhere (like the sound you hear when you pick up a small item like a key or coin...I'd hear that sound on NBA Hangtime, which came out a year before this game did). I just *LOVE* that synth chord you hear when you pick up an item (for instance, when you pick up a Hologram). I would also do that dance Twinsen would do when picking up such items. I was prone to imitating that dance, usually to some uptempo music. Hell, I could probably try "The Twinsen Dance" (as my parents call it) to the Caramelldansen (yet this game was released a year before the group Caramell formed...). So many memories!!! I teared up with tears of nostalgia during that intro! I played this as well as Twinsen's Adventure. I'm now 35...oh, to be young again :) All these years I didn't know that guy voicing Twinsen was the voice of Rayman!
My Father love this Game. Love PLAY with this Games. But now he "why" not play this game. OLD men ... 56 years. I love too PLAY this Twinsen Game - play in my old life - i just little 10-13 years )) * Thank You Twinsen Brain to this Video (AWESOME video !!! - of game.)
the best game I played in my life, the open world, the story are incomparable, hopefully there will be a remake or something, thanks for uploading the video
Yo recuerdo jugarlo con mi hermana cuando yo tenía 7 años y luego al 2010/11 me lo descargué nuevamente en la pc pero en las pc de ahora no se puede jugar creo.. es un juegaso muy entretenido apoyo ese remake. Aunque a veces suelen cagarla
Do you have the last part of this uploaded? This is the only walkthrough I found that doesn't skip the dialogue, and that's the most nostalgic part! Thanks
This video brings to my mind very nice memories of my childhood. The first computer my parents bought me included this game, time commando and captain claw!
I found this game by asking chatgpt about an adventurous like roleplaying game were you can fly with a flying wheelchair and in the style of lemmings. Somehow after a couple of tries chatgpt found it with this bad description 😂
OMG my youth! I totally randomly remembered this game today but couldn't think of the name. Then later it just came back to me. This was pretty good interactive game play for the time and I'm pretty sure the cinematics were so cutting edge our family's computer couldn't even handle playing them.
Thank you so much for the 1:16:35!! No one on youtube done that, all the people just pay to the man to do his work, even I in my childhood collect money and payed him :))
both lba1 and 2 gave me the impression that its creator was influenced by Japanese rpgs to a certain extent. Those villages full of npcs with lots of dialog, etc, gave me a lot of jrpg vibes.
18:51 "F#&K YOU, Mr. Twinsen!" ...though to be fair, Twinsen immediately afterward refuses to properly address his girlfriend's remark, takes her outside into a rain storm while covering himself with most of the umbrella, and refuses to acknowledge that a townsperson/elephant called his girlfriend's child a 'monster', to say nothing of having a child out of wed-lock-such scandal!-so, he probably deserved it. Anywho, I played this game back in like, 1998, off of a "various game demos" shareware CD. All I did was repeatedly jump off of the highest cliff I could find...but apparently the overall aesthetic and ambience left an impact on me strong enough to go looking for it. Neat gameplay recording, cheers for sharing this taste of nostalgia. ♥
Duuuuuuuuuude I was absolutely obsessed with this in 1999 Goddamn thank you for this. I was only 9 and didn’t know how to really play, I mostly just ran around and would often kick his pregnant gf like a psycho 😂
Wow, this game came bundled with my Creative Labs AWE64 Soundcard, CD player set.....waaaayyyyyyy back! Still have the CD however it won't run on modern systems ;( I did setup an old Win98 rig and was able to play this GEM again!
Начал играть в нее в далеком детстве, а прошел ее в 2024 году! Игра шедевр) кстати встретил там пасхалку персонажа из другой крутой игры Time commando был приятно удивлен)
I've never had the change to play this :( I've played the hell out of the first one though! It was awesome, magical, charming and one of a kind even today. I have to get my hands on this one as well.
Oh no !!!! I watched the whole thing ! Where’s the next bit ?! 🙏🏽😫😋 soo many childhood memories of this game I like many others totally forgot what it was called for many years - nostalgia overload 😍
I played a demo of this game as a child. I really liked it a lot and was trying to figure out the game name for many years afterwards. Found it only recently and was like yay, finally!! Looks dope as F even now :D
I remember I purchased this game at future shop never heard about it, just picked up the box and was amazed at the graphics. Bought it and was the best game ever.
15:00 I REMEMBER !!! This amazing passage or when i was young we don't have internet and it's impossible to found this !!!Today give this game at everyone and it's impossible to found that !!! This is for why now sekiro and dark souls it's easy for us !!!
You don't have a second part? I'm sitter here very nostalgic and want to see the rest of the game. Instead of looking for it at my moms house and play it for the 11th time
I could never figure out how to free Raph the lighthouse keeper. I found it impossible to throw the rock accurately, or far enough to hit that lever. Thought I was missing something with the controls
I played this game when I was only 8 years old. At that time, I could barely understand any English vocabulary and my computer crashed very often, so I only stayed in the first island 😓
Kinda creepy that the old man neighbor next to twinsen got a picture of twinsen over His bed. Also, i think the wizard school is Kinda i scam, he has to pay alot of money for fee and then throw a ball at moving targets and then he got a blowpipe and a blowhorn and after that hes a licenced wizard.
I just pass here to say, 20 years ago I play this game, and until today, I consider one of the most beautiful and important games in the history of games, and unfortunately, it is a very underrated game.
Childhood memories!!
Yep!
I am - I don't even know what prompted this. I seriously miss this game - so many memories flooding back. What an epic soundtrack :D

Same here, one of my favorite childhood games, I'm 28.
Same here 29 and love this game
28. No game has ever recreated the magical atmosphere in Twinsen's Odyssey :( Hard to move on from these memories
I took 6 fucking months to finish this game ...without any tutorial.. best game in my life! is magic!
best soundtrack of any videogame ever
Slightly extreme.
@@leeschofield488 that’s what I thought too haha. But if he likes it ... :)
I remember you could put the game disc in a CD player to listen to the soundtrack.
Sounds fun
I want a graphical remake of this great game!
yes, me too. But with the same soundtrack. This is half of the game's charm.
Philippe vachey is about to record the ost with the Parisienne symphonic orchestra
I don't. The 90s graphic is a part of the game's magic.
Seriously I think about it all the time haha
I believe they are actually working on it. They even have a dedicated website
So many memories! I remember being blown away by the graphics, game play and addictive story line. I use to listen to music while playing so Twinsen would dance lol
holy nostalgia... I remember playing this when I was like 8.
Good old days. Playing this game at a friend house not knowing what this game was about, because we where kids, but still had alot of fun.
this was a MASTERPIECE
Master piece is a weak word for this game
My soul want LBA3! This is the best adventure game for me!
My mom gave it to me when I turned 10, 1999 .. now I am 30 ... maybe it was the best gift that I could have ever gotten ... great time .. I wish I could back in time ..
My father and I played through this together when I was ten years old
me and my father as well!!
April 2021
Same, is one of the few fond memories I have of him from my childhood.

i'm about to cry dude. even the scent inside the cd box come into my mind...i was a small child with very little english
Most epic game. So ahead of it's time. Loved this as a kid. The soundtrack was so awesome too!! They should make a little big adventure 3!
This game was huge. remember playing the hell out of it. The music is very nostalgic

Aunque a veces suelen cagarla

A truely remarkable game. The first game I really fell in love with. The open world was so much more alive than any game i had ever played...
both lba1 and 2 gave me the impression that its creator was influenced by Japanese rpgs to a certain extent. Those villages full of npcs with lots of dialog, etc, gave me a lot of jrpg vibes.

All my childhood man. Twinsen was a good boy
I got stuck on that darn invisible platform area. This was in 1997 before guides and FAQs
Everything in this game was magical Twinsen's Odyssey, Time Commando, Lost Eden and Atlantis were my childhood best games !!
after all that time of searching for the missing memory of the game, I finally found it. I played it when I was a little kid back in the old days.
I fast forwarded to when he reads the message on the magicians' school board
" And nobody did anything? "
" No...."
HAhahahahahaha!
I loved Twinse's adventures a lot :)
Would you help me treat my injured Dino-Fly?..

I was feeling nostalgic for this game

I played this game so much my nickname in high school was "Twinsen" lol...
I can't believe it took 20 minutes to get to the point that seemed to take months for me as a 12 year old
1:48:35 - "We can't stay here, baby!"
whoohh!
It's a very clever game. Much easier to play than the first one.
This game is so long! How much longer would you have to play until the game ends after this video?
So amped for the remake!
Childhood memories, come to me!
I LoVE this game sooooooooo much
Wow, I didn't know you knew how to play a game casually :P
This was incredibly hard for the 8 year old me, never understood the story line.
I know the guy who composed the soundtrack. He’s a very nice guy.
God this is magic
What a sick movie!

Was Runescape inspired by this? I find the graphics somewhat similar.
