The only smart ninja was the one standing still. Like Sun Tzu said, Use fresh power and energy to crush your tiring opponent to make victory certain. Unfortunately, that ninja got tired from just standing... :(
Insert Weeb Many Ninja (who were called Shinobi back then, and in reality, is the proper term) came from the Samurai class. Besides, you would be surprised how honorable they were when committed to their employer, especially with the Hattori clan.
Much of the point of greater numbers is that the single guy gets surrounded and attacked at the same time instead of two people standing there staring. That's just shogun 2 for you, great video.
@mastergrab44 Well, the entirety of Japanese warfare was based on Singles combat, two warriors challenging each other and fighting to the death. Then when one is victorious, another challenger replaces the defeated. It was very systematic. That's why when the Mongols first tried to invade Japan, they absolutely mopped the floor with the Japanese. The Japanese tried to get a single warrior to fight them, but groups of 4 and 5 started beating the crap out of one samurai.
The game engine doesnt support it unfortunately. The side effect of that though is that Shogun 2 had some of the best last stand fights in the entire franchise.
Is this actual gameplay?! That is some of the most realist historical sword fighting I've ever seen in a game! How did I not know about this for 6 years? lol
bullshit. Ninja won't fight fair and square like samurai. They'll do anything to fullfill their mission, even dead, but like i said, no fair fight if it's risky. Why the hell the other two just stand outside while the first one struggle to keep himself alive??? Beside facing a strong opponent ninja won't use their sword (those ninjato is a long version? since ninjato is a short blade used not to fight, but to kill).
thats just the hard coding in the game itself, if the ninjas we're from 3 different unit instead of 1 they would all fight at the same time (usually anyway)
Way to go captain obvious. But a knight will have a considerable advantage from an arguably better training, much better armour, and much better sword and much better steel quality.
Dynamiczx only better armor and sword but training? the majority of knights were nobles, with a high cuality of life and a lot of luxury. but in the other way the samurai they had a very humble lifestyle and very hard training, do not get me wrong, I love knights
Actually, Samurais were literally the feudal nobility of Japan back then. Medieval knight training was just as rigorous arguably, easily noticeable by the number of published manuals of swordmasters detailing various sword-fighting techniques. I'll even show you an example: www.aemma.org/onlineResources/liberi/flos_dellaSpada.pdf You also had different schools of martial arts. The most recognizable ones are the German ones (pioneered by Johannes Liechtenauer) and an Italian one pioneered by Fiore dei Liberi. Just look through that and tell me again medieval soldiers (and knights above all) had no training or that there's no thing as European Martial Arts :D
@Brawl97000 That was the second time, the all-out invasion. The first time was just some small armies, but they eventually left...it was like a scouting party. The second invasion was all-out, but the "kamikaze" storm wiped out their entire armada.
@Dauntless07 I think it's cuz the 3 ninjas here didn't make part of the same unit. Making the video, the player made them attack the hero one after one.
Awesome bro But FYI ninja never wore full botty armour as seen,Maybe Like some gauntlets Or legs Gear but not that much, And also i love how he said "FOR HONOR!!" Awesomeness..
@lillonerboy It takes a while to get Katana Hero. In campaign mode you have to max out the sword school building ( which means pumping points into the bushido tree ). And you're only allowed one Katana Hero unit anytime. A way to get more than one is to bribe your opponent's Katana Heroes over. Its pretty sweet if you have 2.
That's actually big BS, Ninjas wasn't followed the Bushido code (could fight without rules), that's why they could kill even sleeping enemies (samurais was forced to wake'em up). Hired spies and assasins would complete their goal by any means so they could easily kill this Hero grouped and even without melee. That's actually how they w orked at 99% of the time, despite Holywood's movies, they higly used poison and ranged weapons and almost never was an open field combat unit (there's only one known period when they fought for their existence).
Too bad that the Total War Games require the unites to have these fighting/dancing animations instead of them attacking simultaneously as they did in Rome or Medieval, where one outnumbered elite unite had no change once it was fully surrounded.
You must not have seen an actual crime scene, there is exactly that amount of blood as displayed in the blood DLC. In fact, blood can often spray several yards.
@OzzieNinja You are not very smart are you? ""most"" ninja were just pissed off peasants with farming tools. Samurai had to train their brain as well as their body. In that time they were some of the most educated people in Japan aside from nobility. Most ninja could even write.
@Dauntless07 I was indeed probably wrong here ( my spirit must have jumped straight to empire, where these annoying 1on1 rage on. But i strongly disagree with your view on 0:14 Come on ! The ninja, waiting for his friends/foe to die, is just practicing his tai-chi.
Its just like modern ninjutsu: one guy watches, the other one rolls even though he isnt getting attacked, the last one forgot to draw his sword
LMAO
The only smart ninja was the one standing still.
Like Sun Tzu said, Use fresh power and energy to
crush your tiring opponent to make victory certain.
Unfortunately, that ninja got tired from just standing... :(
Dammit ninja
They all went to the "Assasin's Creed" school of fighting; never team up. Just politely wait one at a time.
This_American lmao
They have honour
But, they're Ninjas?
Insert Weeb
Many Ninja (who were called Shinobi back then, and in reality, is the proper term) came from the Samurai class. Besides, you would be surprised how honorable they were when committed to their employer, especially with the Hattori clan.
This_American you think you're funny?
Hint for the third ninja: Don't get high until *after* the battle!
wow, 0:43 - 0:46 the samurai defeaded 3 ninja while he was chewing gum.
LOL you're right his mouth is opening and closing
He’s having a nice snack well cutting people’s necks open Great
meanwhile in troy, achilles lunges forward and knees the air and 3 guys that are a few metres away all die of an aneurysm.
So much for Rocky, Colt, and Tum-Tum.
underrated comment.
Yoooo wtf XD
i don't get it
I love how one of them just stands there like a complete lemon
Well, that's codex of duel 3 to 1 ))
Even in new game, Assasin's Creed Brotherhood, crowd of enemy will not figth Ezio together )
Ninja's don't bleed, that's how effective they were!
+Kamuela Castellano Blood clotting jutsu, a chakra-based technique that prevents blood loss...
Much of the point of greater numbers is that the single guy gets surrounded and attacked at the same time instead of two people standing there staring. That's just shogun 2 for you, great video.
Conservation of Ninjitsu is in full effect here.
NINJA CAN'T CATCH YOU IF YOU'RE A FUCKING GOLD SAMURAI
The one ninja really wanted his friends dead
This game is really something to look at when it's on full settings.
@mastergrab44 Well, the entirety of Japanese warfare was based on Singles combat, two warriors challenging each other and fighting to the death. Then when one is victorious, another challenger replaces the defeated. It was very systematic.

"guuuuyyss, those aren't the rules!!"
In the star wars universe it would be a Jedi Knight vs 3 Sith Assassins.
i just love how one hangs back and wait to go it alone like he doesnt need help
would it be awesome if all 3 ninjas fight the samurai all at the same time?
The game engine doesnt support it unfortunately. The side effect of that though is that Shogun 2 had some of the best last stand fights in the entire franchise.
0:37 ninja in the background : yup, just waiting my turn here,uh huh,no need to help my fellow ninja
You get a like for the EU3 music
Is this actual gameplay?! That is some of the most realist historical sword fighting I've ever seen in a game! How did I not know about this for 6 years? lol
Cyan West its a strategy game
lol, it's not realistic at all, what are you on about?
Vrenusdeathstar45, I think, he mean its looks cinematic (good animations)
I am sure I saw an Alien in the background coming out
of his UFO.He had two swords in his hands.❤️.
bullshit.
Ninja won't fight fair and square like samurai. They'll do anything to fullfill their mission, even dead, but like i said, no fair fight if it's risky.

Wow im glad someone is educated like me, you in any Bujinkan school ?
thats just the hard coding in the game itself, if the ninjas we're from 3 different unit instead of 1 they would all fight at the same time (usually anyway)
Bujinkan school : no, sorry.
About Shogun 2, it's a shame that the great game can't show that "quantity has quality itself". Mount and Blade anyone?
Dong An Hell yes!
razvan bucur Yes! Try Sengoku Mod here www.moddb.com/mods/gekokujo. It's a great mod, for Warband only.
He was trying to use his sharingan.
That's one interesting golden mask that guy's wearing, it can move!
Ah, the "honorable" ninja - fighting one at a time.
Your choices have clearly led you here, as have mine. I will give you a new choice. Leave now and live or stay and face your destiny.
The third ninja ran away, then came back and killed the samurai in his sleep.
It's amazing how the third ninja just stops and looks
0:44 he was chewing on his gum thinking, i got this shit!
This is why i love older TTW game, the fight looks way more realistic
I thought the 3rd ninja was gonna be a badass just hanging back waiting patiently for his turn. I was so disappointed lol
Bro just standing still as his comrade died like 🫥
Japan, respecting 1v1's since 15th century
Dat one ninja was chill'n ther thru whole fight like "You no can see me hahahah. . . o shit!!"
Ok...see...no shinobi would ever allow their sect-mate to duel a samurai single-handedly. They would gang up and overwhelm his defenses.
i opened youtube to watch some videos that would help me with a presentation tomorrow and again i ended up somewhere else...
0:30 *giggling like children* hahaha we're samurais and ninjas so fun
I love how the other two ninjas just standing there and watch their friend get killed and then I'm next, you wait ;)
The dirty ninja fights with dishonor and trickery! Face your samurai master, you cowardly night worms!
Ça fait plaisir de voir que tes vidéos ont un si grand succès, l'ami. :)
Yes,it"s the song "Emperor of these lands" ;)
Énorme !
On aurait une séquence d'un film d'animation !
Les duels ont vraiment été bossés sur shogun vivement le prochain TW
He did it without blood, that's a clean samurai.
00:47 even the techniek is real ... impressive ..
0:52 damn these flowers smell good
What's funny is this looks like actual gameplay in a battle... haha.
The Hero units in this game are absolutely the baddest ass things ever.........1 hero unit can no shit hold off an entire force if 5K or more.....
Storm Trooper effect at its greatest...
love how the third ninja waits for his turn
that was a 1 v 1 replayed 3 times , and ya no one can beat a samurai in a sword fight :D
Except an European knight
Dynamiczx NOP, It depends on the warrior
Way to go captain obvious.
But a knight will have a considerable advantage from an arguably better training, much better armour, and much better sword and much better steel quality.
Dynamiczx only better armor and sword but training?
the majority of knights were nobles, with a high cuality of life and a lot of luxury.

The second invasion was all-out, but the "kamikaze" storm wiped out their entire armada.
Bro took respect 1 v 1 go another new level
was funny when the hero charged then took a fighiting stance midway and when the 2nd ninja combat rolled for no reason
@Dauntless07 I think it's cuz the 3 ninjas here didn't make part of the same unit. Making the video, the player made them attack the hero one after one.
To bad in real life the ninjas would just wait until the hero was sleeping and then kill him in his sleep.
Imagine if total war had a Kenji like combat system.
I lost it when the third ninja wasn't doing anything.
0:18 the hero is like:I can Barrel roll too bitches!
That ninja is chill as fuck!
0:42 Hero:(thinking) Killing ninjas is thirsty work.
Awesome bro But FYI ninja never wore full botty armour as seen,Maybe Like some gauntlets Or legs Gear but not that much, And also i love how he said "FOR HONOR!!" Awesomeness..
@Dauntless07 it wasn't about personal ego it's the Japanese did it. they thought it had to honourable and fair
@DarkSignal59 he doesnt go to help him because when samurais where fighting they did it the honorable way,one vs one
That's actually big BS, Ninjas wasn't followed the Bushido code (could fight without rules), that's why they could kill even sleeping enemies (samurais was forced to wake'em up). Imagine the 3rd ninja started throwing bombs
The intro music is from Europa Universalis 3!! :D I have EU3 Chronicles.
the 3rd ninja was like:I Avenge my friends! *killed* Why did I even bother.....
In Medieval2 they would kill him in some seconds, because that engine lets hit 3v1 simultaneously :)
Too bad that the Total War Games require the unites to have these fighting/dancing animations instead of them attacking simultaneously as they did in Rome or Medieval, where one outnumbered elite unite had no change once it was fully surrounded.
Why are you not using the blood pack? it gives you some new finishing moves.
As I recall, the DLC "Blood Pack" was not yet out.
+naxzul666 makes sense
naxzul666 It's better to me
@chaz1453 well the game is design to have 150 vs 150, still this is quality work!
In real situation the ninja would gang up for killing the samurai, they dont need bushido code
wow, that was awesome!
The Katana hero is the coolest unit in the game imho
this video would explain kakashi's test
You must not have seen an actual crime scene, there is exactly that amount of blood as displayed in the blood DLC. In fact, blood can often spray several yards.
@Dauntless07 Agreed (its annoying in every total war btw). But the fight here also lacks smoke bombs, unnecessary jumps and sreams, too.
@GovernorDerek Because everyone loves them. So I'm helping to balance the scales, for the sake of my own social sanity.
in the game there are usually a few hundred of units fighting at the same time
and you except some serious realistic fighting
A ninja could not defeat a samurai in fair combat. So ninjas did not fight fair.
Wonder why the ninja's buddy just hung around. Inverse law in action? Maybe it's like an aura that you can supress and activate. xD
Soooo ninjas are taking turns fighting? "hey you go first..ok thx man i appreciate it...UGGHHH!!!" death.
"It seems my minions have failed. Time to finish you myse-OHSHI
Man these katana heroes vs yari ashigaru is ridiculous.
pause it at 0:42 the samurai has both swords and the ninja has none
@OzzieNinja You are not very smart are you? ""most"" ninja were just pissed off peasants with farming tools. Samurai had to train their brain as well as their body. In that time they were some of the most educated people in Japan aside from nobility. Most ninja could even write.
Hey!... he was the honorable one. Probably to compensate being a shitty fighter. Hell, he didn't even fight, he just got murdered.
How do you make duels like this :o? i love watching units fight but i have no idea how to make them small like this and fight in such duels :(!
peasant farmers try to fight a warrior trained from birth
the last one should have been a ninja sensai
If only they add gore to this game. I would've buy this game on the day it was released
I put a number multiplier for all, I can not do otherwise.
And the number of soldiers who appear different depending on the type of unit.
if you had the blood gore pack the head of the ninja was off
anyone else love watching these 1 on 1's?
"AN HONORABLE DISPRAY"
@rottenmindz Except ninjas were not samurai, so they had no honor :P Which means in this scenario, the ninjas were just complete idiots...
I added sound effects in post-production. ;)
As I made the video capture speed slowed and therefore the sound is muted.
The last one didnt even put up a fight
