Almost 2 months with it. It's been a pretty good daily driver. The 68 watt charging is fantastic. This is the first phone I've never charged overnight because I'm confident I can get it charged up in the morning for a half hour when I'm eating breakfast.
I'd still recommend slow charging it overnight because of lifespan reasons. I'm sure fast charging it all the time at high temps can't be good for the battery.
expandable memory whats the maximum size card that you can use?

I have this phone, I know I'm gonna hate for this but I love the edge display on it. I think it gives it that premium flagship look. It runs smooth. I just hate that people are sleeping on this phone.

You're absolutely right about no one is covering this phone. It's a great phone except for the camera. The camera is ok not great not bad. Just good. The reception and battery life outstanding! I have it on Verizon and it works the reception is outstanding. The battery life is the best out of all 2023 phones I can get about a day and a half on a single charge. It's definitely better than the GALAXY S23 ULTRA
So far the best devices in the market is the Sony Xperia 1 V and the moto edge plus 2023. The sony Xperia is the perfect flagship without any compromises. The moto edge plus 2023 is the best device as far as value. If it had a headphone jack and micro sd card slot, it would definitely be the best device on the market because, it has the perfect blend of display, sound, design as well as performance with the top of the line processor for 700 dollars. 512 gb of internal storage with 165 hz refresh rate. This is a sleeper hit of the year and i don't see one plus, xioami, Samsung, Google touching this device. Motorola out did themselves with this and they had an awesome year so far with their devices. People and the industry should take notice.
I love Motorola phones, but the lack of cases available from recognizable companies is very frustrating considering how long Motorola has been around.
Kinda wild since they still have a decent market share in the US.

Haha true that. Definitely feels great in pocket. It will be supported up to android 16 so 3 years Major OS updates and 4 years of bi-monthly security patches
Great review. You systematically covered the specs - very helpful. But it's your impressions and reactions that swayed me. You genuinely seemed to like the phone, maybe even to your surprise! Here in Canada it is $949 on Motorola's website. Still a very good buy vs. comparable phones. Keep up the great work!
Had this phone for over a month now, and to give context on how much I love this one, I chose it over the Pixel 8 Pro, S23 Ultra, and the Z Fold 5. I got tired of the Samsung software and especially did not like One UI 6.0. I wanted a stock Android experience again so I went with the Pixel 8 Pro. The phone was really nice, but there were some scenarios with the photos that I did not like its image processing. Additionally, the cellular reception was a bit lacking, and the battery life wasn't great. Overall, I just honestly wasn't very impressed with it.
Got the Moto Edge open box for $475 out the door and it has been a delight. Excellent screen, great battery life, and the best part -- the software. I really believe Motorola gives a better software experience than the Pixel in a lot of ways. For starters, it allows more customization than the Pixel, with lots of Motorola's staple features such as the chop-chop gesture for the flashlight and the twist for the camera.
Additionally, Ready For is a really powerful tool, and almost right up there with Dex that the Pixel simply doesn't have. You still get some of the Pixel features such as Call Screening.
The charging speed is ridiculous; you can just forget about your battery and when you finally do need to charge it, it's 0-100 in under an hour. And you even get the 68W charger in the box!
Obviously, the big downside with this phone is the camera. The main rear sensor takes good photos with good lighting, and the 2x telephoto and ultrawide are also decent enough. My complaint is the selfie camera. Despite being 60 MP, it smooths out your face a lot and adds weird color saturation to the photos.
If in 2024 Motorola puts the work into their camera software and adds some better zooming capabilities, I will upgrade this phone in an instant because it is an outstanding phone. Can't recommend this one enough.
Agree. Motorola is badly underrated when they offer a very similar experience to Google pixel and has powerful hardware similar to Samsung. It's a mix of both with only lacking feature being the camera

I rarely hear any hype about Moto higher end stuff. And I think it's goofy because this is some pretty good value

just ordered this on Boost Mobile, for a total of $380, their price shows $200, but to get the phone you have to buy into the $40 , unlimited plan, theres a $25 unlimited plan, thats restricted for a yr, looking forward to receiving it, im coming from samsung s10e ,so yes i think its going to be a big step up! cant wait
I wish metro had the foldable phones. I've managed to be prepaid my whole phone life, and feel a little apprehensive about switching but I really want one of the foldables
It's always nice to have a new form factor. I'm sure they will get them soon but if you don't wanna pay the steep price to upgrade once that happens. Motorola's new razr+ seems to be the most cost efficient one yet at $999.99 . I really am hoping to see some midrange fold or flip form factor soon or better yet a budget one 🤞. Seems like a really good device! I have been eyeballing one so I can get Project Genesis and be on the Dish network. They have it for $400. Not sure about the unlocking policy. Which is why I haven’t got it yet. But it is still tempting!

One thing Motorola can improve is the ability to move the navigation buttons around.

Did you have issues with the Camera on Instagram (like for stories/in messages)? Mine doesn't work on this phone. Just a black screen. I've tried everything with troubleshooting.

Im aware. Many of the specs including the most important (the processor) are the same. I'm saying it's not worth it to most people to go with the S23 Ultra because most people don't need all those extras

I have the edge+ 2022, for 500 dollars right now its a steal. I'm sure the 2023 is nice but I'd pick up the 2022 if I had the option. The fingerprint scanner on the power button is where I'd personally like having it. The blue color option on the 22 model is awesome as well. The speakers and camera are probably better though, but I think the 22 model looks better. Really good phone so far. Also has more case options for it, I have the otterbox commuter case and its a tank.

@@daisyllove - Motorola wouldn't match what Google gave me for my Pixel 7 Pro, so I ended up with the Pixel 8 Pro. I love this phone and the photos it takes, I get compliments all the time.

Just curious as to how an A54 is comparable to the edge plus 23...maybe to the regular edge, and you can find this device around $500 now in Best buy and this phone runs heads up against my S23 Ultra, and runs laps and it in a lot of areas.
@@RJ_UploadsI have no experience with S23ultra which has a bigger screen. A54 so far has been rock solid. Excellent clarity and response, no lagging whatsoever, great power management and UI9 is phenomenal.

Dolby vision Netflix doesn't work on this device since Netflix hasn't supported it with Motorola but the app works fine otherwise

From what I have read in other comments and forums it should work fine on Verizon. I don't have the phone yet so I can't verify that for sure.
I have Spectrum which uses Verizon towers. I've been trying to get it to work . No luck.
I know for a fact the 2022 model is, If it's not it will be very soon.
I bought this phone recently and confirmed it does work on Verizon. I just swapped my SIM card over and it worked fine after I restarted my phone.

Curved displays look hideous and this one looks 1st gen Samsung rather than a improved one. Stereo speakers will never sound as good as cheap headphones and only disturb the peace and quiet of others. A audio port saves battery life and cheap wired speakers sound as good as expensive wireless. Google, Apple and Samsung are all winning doing it the other way, Moto needs to ignore them and do it their way.
I'll sell my iphone 13 pro for this. I Love Moto albeit software update is not good

Motorola made a good one with this but for me motorola software and features is no comparison to samsung and my s23 Ultra. My mom had an moto phone and software wise it was torture she even enjoys the a53 j gave her more
