Thank you for doing this video on our Metromover system. The reason it's FREE is because the residents of Miami passed a half cent Sales Tax for Transit funding in 2002. Everybody pays for Sales Tax including the Millions of Tourists who visit Miami every year so they pay part of this transit funding without even knowing it! As for it being Elevated that is due to Miami's geography since the city sits on a porous limestone foundation (think of a sponge) & if you dig a few feet/meters down you will hit water so tunnels would be too expensive.

Amazing city, with fantastic buildings 👌
On top of that, it looks clean, as well. I like that.
What surprises me even more, is free public transport. If you suggested that, to a politician in my country, you would be sent to a mental institution 😂 Public transport in Denmark, is very very expensive. It cheaper, to fly to Prague, Riga or Milano, than taking the train from Copenhagen, to western part of Denmark.
Thanks for another great video 👌👌👌

It's true, it surprised us as well. And all that elevated infrastructure, amazing!
Didn't know this about Denmark... I can tell you in Canada the transportation is very expensive. A transit ticket in Toronto is CAD 3.25 one way.
In Bucharest, Romania on the other hand, if you're retired, you get to ride the local transit for free :-)

@@shapeoftimes Yes, i know that retired people, don't pay for public transport, in Romania. That's very good, coz they don't have a good income.
Here in Georgia, where i live, public transport is very cheap, as well. However, here the salary is very low and so are the pensions.
I like the idea, that older retired people, shouldn't pay for public transport. That's how it should be. Let them have a good retirement.
There's also other things, they shouldn't pay for either, but that's just my opinion.
