Guanzorumu not being in his own tier hurts me he’s my fav frontier monster and if he were to come to a main line game he would probably be my second fav
I love how no one roasts Nargacuga for being about 85% a Tigrex moveset wise, and the "easiest monster to make" as said in an interview, but Dyuragaua, which has more original moves than Nargacuga, suffers hate. Edit: not saying that you hated on Dyuragaua, just pointing out that the most common initial reaction upon seeing this monster for the first time is to immediately compare it to Tigrex (either verbally or mentally), which doesn't happen whith Nargacuga (or Barioth, maybe) when it technically should.
This is something that I really like about Frontier. Diorex, that its almost the same as Tigrex in skeleton and design, have a completely different moveset, or Varusabaruso (or something of that, cant remember correctly), that almost a Diablos on fire, but I think the only 2 moves that they share is dig underground and run towards you. About Narga, I still didnt fight its Exotic Species in Frontier, I suppose it has some new moves, and I know he can afflict poison. And yes, Tigrex fucking sucks in FU, you need to fight, mandatory, I think 7 Tigrex (2 quests being hunt 2 Tigrex), and I think there are 2 mandatory Narga fights, so Its like, 9 Tigrex-Like Monsters that you MUST fight in order to progress.
If you are still playing frontier then you are still missing a couple of monsters such as the Zeniths and a few elders like Elzelion, but its still a great vid nonetheless👍
Amazing video, first time watching your stuff. Gaudium recommended it and she did well ! I've been playing frontier for a bit more than 2 years (in it's officially closed state) and have been witnessing alot of the stuff going on to make it playable again before and after the public release. I must admit that your tier list absolutely based even tho I'm not 100% ok with it (wich is what makes it interesting, right ?). I'm really glad people are still enjoying this game despite it being kind of an old gen game and a really hard game on top of that and I'm looking for that G rank tier list! Have fun on this amazing game and keep up the great work ! P.S.: just wanted to point something out wich really makes my brain tingle every time I hear it -> it is actually "Raviente" and not "Laviente", that typo surely come from how Japanese people pronouce "Raviente" because as you may know. Their "R" sounds like an "L" wich has been mistakenly used on some famous video and also on some of the most watched "BGM/OST" video of that monster and It's variant

We need scorpions in monster hunter! The crab fights (at least in mh4u were I fought them most recently) are a huge breath of fresh air from the constant wyvern spam with their unique movement and attacks. The more non wyverns and cool species based on non reptiles the better!

I can only speak from a design standpoint as I haven't payed frontier but for me frontier is a very mixed bag, there are monsters that are absolutely top tier, some that are good but could mabye use some a redesign and others I don't like and feel like they come from final fantasy or digimon rather then being feeling like monster hunter but would be cool in another franchise, that said he's my tierlist S is my favourites A are great, B are soild C are those who could use a redesign D is a massive redesign and E I just straight don't like the look off S+ : Baruragaru is my top favourite S : Rukadiora, Gogomoa, Pariapuria Akura vashimu, white espinas, Forokururu, Inagami, Akura jebia, Odibatorasu, Guanzorumu, Gasurabazura A : Taikun Zamuza, Abiorugu, nono/kamu orugaron, laviente B : hypnocatrice/Breading/white, Gurenzeburu, Toridcless, toa tesukatora, C : Dyuragaua, Berukyurosu, Kuarusepusu, Doragyurosu, Voljang, shantien D : Meraginasu, Poporubaruma, unknown, varsusaburosu, E : lolo/ray goulgarf, Diorekkusu, zerureusu, Gureadomosu, harudomerugu, garuba daora, goruganosu, aruganosu, Also fun bonus story, I remember fighting hypnocatrice in freedom unite which was my first game and I remember getting my ass kicked in my low rank armour and I ended up giving it the nick name of the drop kick bird lol

Personally I'd go for 1.Akura vashimu 2.kuarusepusu 3.varusaburosu If I'd make them have a turfwar I'd love to see Akura vashimu vs goss harag Kuarusepusu vs almudron or misitzune And finally varusaburosu vs risen shagaru magala

Sadly I found that a lot of the MHFZ monsters suffer from atrocious hitbox that put plesioth's hipcheck to shame. Like 50% of the monsters feel like they just drew a circle around the entire monster for every one of thier attacks and called it a day. And then the other 50% of the monsters have really good and fair hitboxes, it's kind of baffling how much of a discrepancy there is.
I have not played Frontier. World is my first game and I got into the series about a year ago. However, Guanzarumu is the best monster in frontier( possibly the entire series). I have not fought fatalis. But by just watching a Guanzarumu battle, I feel like he is the king of the monsters. His fire attacks match those of Fatalis. His design is sick as hell. And he just exudes superiority. And the fact that he can just have monsters throw you off the map is awesome. Absolutely hope he comes back but as a part of the main series
4:06 Completely understand the pronunciation lmao name is funky as hell, dont know how helpful this is but the name is "Durr-uh-gow-uh" lotta frontier names have this break down you can do where you can separate the syllables out to help pronunciation better. My favorite example of this is my all time favorite monster Bogabadorumu, all you need to do is separate it out into its syllables Bo-ga-ba-do-ru-mu. Hope this helps

Barugaru basically rusts your weapon with blood...that is so insane, yet sounds so awesome, frontier was a wild ride it seems!
