    THANK YOU! You saved my problem. My wiring harness for my tail light on my canopy was shorting as there was a bare wire. I tried the battery first with no luck. Tried the 10 amp stop & it shorted it again. I recall my canopy wire being bare & also noticed it got caught in my tailgate. I fixed the loose wire & changed the 10amp stop again. IT WORKED. Thank you SO much. I even called Toyota & they said sorry we can't help you, tow your truck 300K to us!

    Thanks for this video. I literally just got home from being stuck on the hwy for 4 hours because of this. Changed the fuse and made it home. Thing is right when i pulled into the drive way the fuse blew again. Atleast I made it home. Thank you and also thanks to my friend for coming with extra fuses and tools.

    Love your videos man! A couple of weeks ago I had a similar situation with my break peddle, but it was stuck and wouldn't come up. The dashboard had a similar message but it was showing red. So it wouldn't let me turn my car on, so I had to get it towed. Come to find out, it was a blown fuse. I wish I checked it out before taking it to the dealership.

    I had the same problem just today. I checked every fuse. I even put new brakes on the rear because they were pretty well warranted. Nothing disconnected the battery a couple of times hook it back up. Check my gas cap. Check my air filter because I don’t do the same thing, nothing. Four years ago I put on a pedal commander and today I disconnected it problem gone right away. Holy cow.

    An amazing video. Yep fuses can go bad when changing anything electrical. I’m guessing that is better to remove one of the battery cables more as a safety net. Glad it all turned out good for you. Yes is always good to have extras fuses in the glove compartment for those rainy days.

  • @shrades
    @shrades 2 года назад +1

    Thank you for this video. If it weren't for you mentioning to 'just check one more time' I'd be hassled with a tow and service call. This wasn't my problem because when I went to check the STOP fuse, it was fine. But, in doing so based on your recommendation to check fuses one more time, I found a fuse that I removed and placed back into the wrong slot! I left the 10 amp ETCS fuse slot empty, which gave me the same message, "Brake Override Malfunction" and code P0658. Placing the fuse back into the ETCS slot and erasing the code sent my truck back to normal. 2022 Tacoma.

    Any electrical work, I disconnect my battery. Might be paranoia lol but I rather be overly safe. Too many computers in these new cars and I don’t wanna chance it. Also another good thing is that my MPG number goes up after the battery is reconnected….. gives me a false good feeling that I’ll get more mileage per gallon 😂

      putting a bigger fuse youre just risking frying the wires right up if something goes wrong

  • @sergateway

    You can. Reset the memory in less than 10 Sec. When I had that issue the dealership swapped out the throttle body cable. They said some cables were touching bare so that fixed the issue for 6 months. Then it came on again.
