Let’s see a new video with eco4! Thanks great video
Nice!
Who won the tail lights or where do i pick them up lol 😆.
Solid review. Have you given away the tail lights yet? I’d be happy to take them off your hands. Haha!
I was just thinking the same thing as I was watching this video.
Can you do a video on a locking gas cap? I can’t seem to find a video of one that is good for the Tacoma.
Go to o’Reilly’s Stant Locking Emission Control
Fuel Cap - 10504
Part #: 10504. I have a 2023 Tacoma Trd off road works perfect and NO check engine light.
Sickkk imma do this
Also, pressing the gas pedal down less will help too. (:
My 2022 Tacoma has the 2.7 L and 6 speed auto. I figure my gas mileage by the pump and odometer, not what the truck says. My best has been 24.7 mpg and my average is 23.9. But with cold weather coming up that will change for the worse.
If anything colder air will increase it, air is denser, it should increase it

Well not in my case since I park on the street, and a lot of times have to defrost/preheat my vehicles.
Hello! Do you have a stock tire when you test eco mode?
no
Anything plus in the eco range can make you feel like you are suffocating. Lol, slammed on brakes and immediately turned it to normal.
Now I dont have to sell my 2014 2.7L Taco. I can actullay merge into traffic :). Big differance I have to say it was worth it.
I've got the 2.7 4 cylinder 2020 tacoma and I'm getting about 23mpg .
are you driving highway and is it 4wd ?
@@Dudleyism1 sold it for a new 4Runner! Gotta say I love the bigger power!!
👍
I just got mine today but I'm apprehensive because I've seen some people have problems especially with the app causing car to throw codes
Any luck?
@@jonathanbeers1619 I wound up returning it because I didn't wanna take a chance & got one called Shift Power which wound up doing the same thing & completely locked my car up when I hit a bump, Thank God it wasn't heavy traffic but was early in the morning, so I was able to pull the car over & uninstall it, now I have the sprint booster which I had on a previous car & I've never had problems with it even now, they also are the first to make one of these
Damn dude ur truck might have something cause my tacoma do between 18 to 20 mpg and in a 5 day if trip i waste like ¼ of gas.
It depends how he drives. Driving style affects it a lot. In our 2004 Pontiac Montana, if I keep up with traffic in terms of accelerating, it gets 20 MPG on average per tank. If I accelerate as slow as possible without causing a problem, and stay in the slow lane, and use cruise control a lot, it gets 27 MPG.
Wow, normally I get about 400 plus miles range on my Tacoma with no pedal commander, you must go thru horrible traffic all the time.
It depends on how he drives. My mom drives a 2008 Toyota Prius in the city. She accelerates at about 5,500 RPM. And nearly never goes a consistent speed, and she gets 28 MPG.
When I drive, I accelerate at about 1,400 RPM, and go a consistent speed, and try to take advantage of the hybrid system, and I get about 55 MPG in the city.
@@lockdot2 I guess it shows that some will complain about crappy mileage, but won't drive normal.
The amount of miles anyone gets is based on the way a person drives such as if they have a heavy foot on the gas pedal likes to drive fast on the highway or just local around town will determine in reality they are going to burn much more gas therefore contributing to getting much lower miles on full tank of gas. the pedal commanders has nothing to do with saving on gas at all, that's a completely bogus device you are trying to push, again it's all based on how person drives with their foot on the gas pedal it's common sense that if a person drives 80+ mph on the freeway vs the person who drives 65 mph or even less the person who drives faster isn't going to get that many miles on a full tank then the person who doesn't have a heavy foot on the gas pedal.
You have no idea. Get one, use one. Then you can talk. I bet you there won’t be any shit talking then lol
All it does it make the gas pedal less responsive as far as I know. So, if you instead look at the RPM, and let the trunk shift at 1,500 or 2,000 RPM, then do the test to see which is better. As, it should be the same.

The pedal commander is meant for the exact opposite this video is trying to show! It’s meant to free the accelerator, not restrain it even more. The taco is known for being a dog, this frees the truck to take full advantage of what’s really under the hood. Sport+ +4 is the way to go. MPGs are for little bitches 😂 Don’t get a taco of you’re into that, get a prius lol
That’s not true.. it’s literally for both hence the eco mode bro
