I know i’m 2 years late, but, how do you remain “crouch” while bunny hoping? I’m play on pc and for every jump i have to repress the crouch button and that’s put’s me to lose very much time for the next bunny hop
Thanks for this! This explains why I rarely could hop across Angel City like the one in your grappling guide. I could grapple and have good initial momentum, but the slide hopping probably killed it along the way

hey frothy, are you ever gonna make a wall kicking tutorial. its such an underused mechanic but can be really helpful in high levels of play to keep speed if not increase it slightly.
@Sweyn Nero wall kicking/perfect wall hops, is an advanced titanfall mechanic that allow someone to increase there speed alot. all you have to do is jump as soon as you touch a wall. the timing is very small, tho. this is the move that allows gauntlet players to reach 50kph and higher.
Man, sometimes I have issues just running around cuz of my poor internet connection.... or it could be Respawn’s servers idk. I get like 50-100 ping average, and random horrid spikes up to like 500 ping

i will never understand why respawn made regular bunny hops and wall kicks (perfect wall hops) so much more difficult in the titanfall 2. bunny hops are more difficult, but are less rewarding then slide hops. wall kicking was already difficult in the first titanfall, but now in titanfall 2, it requires more luck then skill (on console atleast since you have less frames which make the character less responsive.) imo they should either make perfect wall hops much more rewarding, so only the best can abuse it, or lower the skill floor by a little so it is something more people can do, but not all.
Do you ever have the problem that you press space too early and because you're holding a or d it causes the character to jumppack to the side thus fucking up the bhop

I kinda self taught myself how to Slide Hop but I am far from perfecting myself, I know how it works Its the source engine thinking your in mid air even when your touching the ground so the game does not cap your speed, I've played other Source Engine games like TF2
Frothy you should update the g2 or, well, all AR's... Although it is painstakingly annoying, the mastiff pellets burn out at 158.7 feet (as stated by the little tips after respawns with the mastiff). If you could somehow measure that as a ruler, you could figure out the crit range.
Zar ryc sometimes you need a tiny bit of extra height on your jump... Or you're really close to a wall and want to wallhop straight after but you can't while holding crouch... Really though? Because it somehow feels more satisfying.
If you need height, you hop on a wall or double jump, if you need to wallrun, you just let go the crouch after doing the slide hop. Idk about the satisfaction part, generally wallrunning is what feels satisfying the most to me.

Frothy oh. I use an Xbox 1 and the joystick to look around is the one next to my jumping button so it’s hard to pull of one. I have to make sudden jerks to which way I want with my moving joystick to do a bunny hop.

I enjoy this game a lot and I can do the bunnyhop technique pretty well but I really don’t enjoy games when when they implement it tho. That’s what put me off this game it’s far too fast for me I like the wall running and double jumps but the bunnyhop I just find it irritating when everyone does it
I consciously chose not to put that there. The whole point is that you have to practice the timing yourself. The timing you see me performing things will almost definitely vary from your timing based upon your input method and display type. If you're playing on a console with an HDTV, for example, you are definitely going to struggle with input lag, so you have to learn the timing for yourself through practice. The wingman crosshair method allows you to train the perfect timing REGARDLESS of your personal setup --making it the ideal method for all players on all consoles in all situations :D
RadioactvPanda contrary to that, I'd say it allows a shift of focus from execution to mind games. Insane movement is more lenjent, so you can focus on where to go, when to be there, and what to do when you get there.

If you are on pc you can change it to hold to crouch (instead of toggle crouch). Then you can just hold crouch in the air no problem

Bunny hopping doesn't require the crouch slide needed in titanfall 2. That's the only difference.
