- In the past 4 decades of LEGO Technic, there have been a plethora of unique sets. There are 10 sets that need to return! These are all unique, offer great functionality, and are considered to be among the best of the entire theme! Perhaps one of these models could return for LEGO Technic 2022.

What I would like to see from Lego Technics - subsets that can be put together to make a variety of vehicles. Engine, transmission, suspension kits would be a good start.
wow this is an awesome idea!
In the past Lego has done this to some extend with their lego technic ideabooks in the 80's and early 90s. I tried to build most of them but often I didn't had all the sets needed so the builds often ended up in the wrong colour or something like that.
I didn't even know that engine block set existed! Very cool.
Always wanted to make a Lego V8 engine with the fiber optic element as a distributor and spark plug wires. That Technic engine set would make that super easy as long as you have that fiber optic element and a set of gears to spin it at half speed.
The 8480 space shuttle and 8043 excavator are my favorite sets!
While on the 8043, it should also be pointed out how crazy it is that there is a drive axle fed up and through into the excavator arm, it is so ingenious it's crazy! It goes through, what, like 2 degrees of freedom? That's pretty wild, and that, along with the other things you mentioned on the 8043, make it so freaking insane. The whole independent treads things I feel is a design that can not be improved upon, it's so perfect.
And 8480 is basically the epitome of existence itself.
Unbrickme: Just imagine if we got a Lego Technic version of the Mars Perseverance Rover. That would be epic.
Lego: Here is set 42158!
😀
I totally agree space is neglected by Lego Technic... and it's kinda disappointing. New space race made space themes popular, astronomy has its golden age and I truly believe space sets would become popular. Just look at the fantastic results Lego Creator and Ideas is achieving with NASA sets - Saturn V, Space Shuttle Discovery, ISS, Apollo Lunar Lander.
maybe because space is fake?
It is here now :)
There is technically a third edition of the Car Chassis, which was part of the 40-year anniversary of Technic in 2017. It's a combo model of three Technic sets: 42057 Ultralight Helicopter, 42061 Tele Handler, and 42063 BMW R1200 GS Adventure.
I have an idea for LEGO Technic. I think they should make a mechanical computer: either programmable or not programmable.
For the programmable mechanical computer, I think it should be like punch card programming with the punch cards being baseplates with studs sticking out or something.
If the punch card idea is not feasible or too hard to make, I think that LEGO Technic should have their computer record the shifting of gearboxes and then play them. It’s like a Control Center set but all mechanical.
For the non-programmable computer, I think it should be something like a mechanical calculator.
I think the release of this set would mark it as the best and most legendary LEGO Technic set of all time.
the 8860 is a great set. However, I would rather see a studless remake of 8880. I never had one but I would definetely buy a remake.
The Technic Power Puller is just like the Tractor Pull sport.
Garbage trucks are my favorite trucks they definitely need to make one as a main model and I was always thinking that LEGO technic needs more space sets so it can be epic. I also love transformers where robots can transform into robots to vehicles but they should not add any violent weapons on them.
I totally agree that they should make another car chassis!
I would like to see them used the technic beams this time to see what they would do.
One set I would like for them to remake is the 8109 flatbed truck
The issue with remaking most of the motorized sets is the awful new "powered up" system Lego went all in on. It either wouldn't fit, would ruin the aesthetics, or would cost too much vs the PF versions.
The price is definitely an issue, although the bell boeing v22 osprey was supposed to retail for $150 despite using the powered up system
@@Unbrickme to be fair, the liebherr’s electronics did cost $460 on their own, but still, even when put in a set, it’s overpriced compared to what pf used to be. Now since pf is retired, pf actually costs significantly more in terms of motors.
The red car chassis was my first ever lego technic set. :)
Yes, we absolutely need a Mars Perseverance Rover & Ingenuity Helicopter. Also, push humans on Mars. We need to dream of actually getting to Mars in 2030.
Agreed!
Well, you got what you wanted!
My father had the car chassis and it was one of the first Lego Technik sets I’ve seen as a kid. I’d love to have one.
How about technic set 8455, the pneumatic backhoe?
Would love to see another one with the same functions but with the new pneumatic cylinders. And an airtank or 2. Or maybe with a compressor.
I know this video is a bit old, but I feel like an 8043 remake should use one of those SPIKE Essentials small motors for the gear shifting rather than a large motor.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the tow truck should have had air tanks
I personally think we need another combine harvester since they would be so detailed especially if the mowers work
Ha, I bought the sub for the air tank and the technic guy -- when it was on sale of course!
Also bought the bar-code truck new for the fantastic tech functions and the flex usage.
The dinosaur technic set is infact at the California park. Source- I walk pasted it anytime I work at Mindstorms or on that side of the park
I’m glad my memory was correct
We need a new lego technic rally car (awd would be better) and a new le mans race car, it would be great to see them again !!
I have all except the engines set. The number of the set on the box of my Search Sub says 8250/8299. Also the ‘B’ model of the 8480 Space Shuttle is a submarine with an ROV. I liked the 8485 Control Centre II so much, I bought a 2nd one on eBay for a fantastic price. It just didn’t have the box. I also have the 1st Control Centre set 8094.
I like to see 8043 remake , only change, a smaller bucket. And a remake of the 853 auto chassis, same color, still the rear seats, updated motor and transmission, differential, suspension, and still a lots of studded bricks , this should have been done for the 40th anniversary of technic.
space shuttle looks pretty cool, youve forgotten one really sort after kit that is the porsche GT3 42056 this needs to come back the prices these are going for are ridiculous!
YES!
I agree with most of these, especially Space Shuttle 8480 & Power Puller 8457.
The most important one tho if you ask me, Pneumatic Pack 5218. It was probably the most helpful set I got when I was getting into Technic. But I also had Motor Set 8735 equivalent parts to add to it (from Movie Backdrop Studio 1351). I think if there was a remake it could be made to also work with a motor in a similar fashion.
+ Could we have Technic figures back! :)
We actually got a car chassis in 2018 made out of 3 sets in the wave but it actually had less functions than the original 2 car chassis
Love my 8043! Car chassis was my first Technic set! Mixture of studded and studless would be awesome!
The legendary return of "no pressure"
If the Car Chassis would get a remake 7:41 I would go with a modern studless beams design to contrast the pasts models so you can compare how Lego Technic has changed overtime
I just want lego technic set that has a gearbox for a decent price
Idem
The LEGO Technic Ducati motorcycle has a gearbox at a pretty reasonable price under $100. But I agree we definitely need more affordable sets with gearboxes!
I think the car chasis should use a mix of both styles
Look at the 8448 Super Street Sensation, that was a blend of studded chassis plus a relatively smooth coach... but that set has been done already ;) I love that set for having a 5 speed gearbox with reverse, not to mention the soft opening doors or boot!
@@diatonicdelirium1743 yeah it should look like that
Telehandlers are my favorite machines and I want to see a remake of the 2008 version.
I think Lego should go all out on gearboxes and make an Antikythera Mechanism set or how about a Babbage Difference Engine. LOL. More realistically, they should make a working clock that looks like a giant wrist watch.
Lego has come out with a lot of cranes, bulldozers, backhoes and excavators. I think they really need to come out with a Road Grader.
There is already a "Technic" version of a Martian Rover... I just couldn't put my hand on it...
What is the set called?
@@Unbrickme it was sold under the discovery line I think... I will check it
@@Unbrickme Lego 7471 :)
It is called Mars Exploration Rover. It looks just like Opportunity.
We need more excavators and car chassis just like old time
Hey,how about 8258 Crane Truck?
8299 is not the only technic submarine: 8480 (space shuttle) secondary model is a huge submarine as well. And it is awesome!
Thanks for reminding me! Forgot about that b model
8480 is truly a rare gem, and I am glad I have one. The only problem is rotting rubber wires, which disintegrate into fragments. I had to replace them with new wires. Both space shuttle and submarine are super rare for LEGO Technic. Space shuttle being the only space-themed so far. I will buy one if a remake comes out.
The 42064 Ocean Explorer had a small submarine as well ;)
nice
I thought that the lego technic motorized excavator with control+ that might release in the future, it would use the lego powered up M motors like the one is included in Lego technic 4x4 Mercedes Benz Zetros trial truck. To make the lego excavator powerful, change the gear ratios a little bit. From small gears, to large gears connected to each other. 1:04
The M motors wouldn't allow for synchronization.
7:44 i think the old style because it would be nostalgic
I agree
These sets are legendary
Lego should release a new lego technic Submarine with control+. It would be very incredible. Lego should release a new waterproof motors and waterproof technic hub. And of course, lego should also release a large hull with a lid to fit in the electronics and use pneumatics for swimming underwater or float on the surface. 3:58
That would be so cool! I've always wanted a LEGO RC boast, but I never thought about a LEGO submarine. Might be easy to get the submarine out of signal range
@@Unbrickme Oh yes, I did not even think about the signal.
For the heli set now we have the airbus h 175
I have TWO complete sets of the original 956 Auto Chassis. LEGO has come a long way and to be honest - I prefer the studded bricks and large pieces. I have the Fat Boy and the Self Loader tow truck kits, too and they seem like large bags of plastic confetti accompanied by thick manuals for assembly. There is really not much room expand the mind and create due to the tiny parts.
The rough terrain crane must return😭
True! especially the 8043
We do need another normal motorised excavator becuase their hasnt been one for ages
What’s your favorite motorized set?
@@Unbrickme the bucket wheel excavator
Very great video! I was very happy because I own all these sets myself :) With car chassis I would be for a version made of lift arms to be able to put them next to the old version.
Awesome! You also own the engines set?
We will get Perseverance rover in summer 2023 (confirmed)
al of these are valid boss
This is what lego SHOULD have done in 2017 with the 40th anniversary who agrees?
I agree
Why am I hearing the music froma game called octopath?
we got the perseverance rover lego set, but i think it kinda sucked since it doesnt really have any function, its not even a technic set
Which set is the one at 0:07 ? The telescopic crane?
Lego Technic 8421 Mobile Crane from 2005
Bring back the packs!
What do u think this years 1/8 scale super will be ?
Maybe an aston martin
Studded for the chassis remake.
Make a video about lego technic 2022?
As soon as the sets get officially revealed, I will definitely make a video
ok
Loving it
I love the lego technic 8069 it's nice
I have the car chassi
Dear Lego, watch this.
I agree.
The best remake is the space shuttle
The space shuttle is awesome! What's your favorite part of that set?
The Fibre Optic
Was that the bot of '87?
Yes
Love it
Thank you so much I greatly appreciate your support
All I see is people complaining about the price haha. Don’t buy it then!!! Stop crying 😂
8043 ned to return
Just so you know, most of your videos end kinda awkwardly when you say: “and I’ll see you in the next one…” It sounds like your about to say something else, but then guess what the video is over. At least, that’s my opinion.
Just a little constructive criticism for ya👍🏻
Thank you so much for letting me know! If you have any more feedback, please, feel free to let me know! I'm always looking to improve, so I greatly appreciate your insights
@@Unbrickme It doesn’t sound that way to me. I don’t know how he thinks it sounds like you’re going to say more. Just keep doing your videos the way you are. You’re doing a fantastic job Unbrickme.
Jesus, guy. Pure gibberish from 2:22 to 3:00.
I said that it should include a battery box and a motor out of the box, hows that gibberish?
@@Unbrickme WTF does the crane have to do with anything?! Try to make sense. That. would. be. EPIC!
My point was, the crane got remade completely but the remake had no gearbox and no motor upgradeability of any kind. So it is likely that a remake of the telehandler would also remove motor upgradeability and the gearbox. That is why the battery box and motor should be included in the box for the telehandler remake
The 8480 space shuttle and 8043 excavator are my favorite sets!
