- One of Miami’s top recruiting targets has just scheduled the date for his announcement. Four star interior offensive lineman Seuseu “SJ” Alofaituli will announce his verbal commitment on Friday, July 5th. Miami, Michigan and Nebraska are the finalists. The week will be busy for the Hurricanes up to that point. 2026 quarterback Dereon Coleman, considered a Miami lean, will announce his commitment on Wednesday night. Four star safety Hylton “Drake” Stubbs will announce on July 4th. Stubbs’ final two are Miami and Florida. Can the Hurricanes beat out the Gators?

Win or loose the verbals the next couple days. We take care of business on the field. Anyone mario and staff really want, can flip before signing day. We may even loose a few, as 5 stars sign in their positions. It is far from over, but I love hearing the relationship building the staff is doing. Because it could pay off in transfer portal down the road as well. I couldn't be more proud of my Canes right now. I think/hope that we can soon start packing our stadium again and making it a must watch in Miami entertainment
If our D line is as elite as we expect them to be our DB's will be able to play extremely aggressive man coverage creating TO's

I think ga tech will be a tough game. I also worry about a Cal let down. They have that RB ott. But just like us, they got a WR or 2 in portal that could bloom into production.
Sj alofiutuli would be a great land. But those other 2 teams are tough comp. Nebraska on the rise. And mich is a lineman powerhouse.
Its great to have stars players for rankings but ill go the jimmy route getting guys who can play like they want them to in miami..
I wouldn't sleep on Duke, they got a transfer QB from Texas, (Malik Murphy. Kid played against some tough opponents last season while Quinn Ewers was injured. He's pretty good and I wouldn't count him out, Duke is a team that can pull a GA-Tech victory on Miami. I don't want it to happen trust me I don't; but we all know when Miami let their guard down they gonna get their asse's whooped. I hope Miami can go 11-1 or 12-0 I know it's high hopes but with all the talent Miami has on their roster, it's no excuse for us to have a dominant season, if all players remain healthy.
