As mother's we often try to DO everything for our household ourselves: run our businesses, keep the house clean, the laundry, school the children, and keep everyone looking well dressed, teeth brushed, and hair did! I don't know about you but this often leaves me feeling burdened and burnt out! The false sense of responsibilities we feel can stop us from doing what God has predetermined us to DO. Since we are daughters of the most high we are Queens. As the queens of our households we need to start acting like it. What queen do you know who does all the dishes, laundry, and runs her kingdom? No, she doesn’t do all that but rather her higher position is to DELEGATE. To Delegate means to commit or entrust to another, e.g., to delegate a task to a subordinate. Not everyone can do what God has positioned you to do-so the things anyone can do, let them. I ask that you take a moment, open your heart and ears, and ask the Holy Spirit this “What are the things I was made to DO and what are the things I need to put down and start DELEGATING?”
This is so well put and clearly stated to the point that it is so sensible that it needs to be framed for all the mothers out there to read and internalise it every day 😂😂!”As queens of our household we need to start acting like it”That is my favourite statement 💯🤩🤩🤩!!!
I love how she teaches her children to be so responsible at a tender age. She is a loving and teachable mom. Many lessons can be learnt from her. Keep up the amazing job you are doing with your beautiful family. God bless you all.
I never gave it much thought on how the washing gets done for all of you. But Alana you’re so Smart to figure out a system that works for you. It’s a lot goes into washing clothes and the kids seem to have everything under control! I love you this family!!! God bless

Been doing laundry since I was 8 my sisters and I would shlep two shopping carts full of laundry I love that detergent I have eczema and it's amaaaaaazing
Im not going to lie, I used to be the parent that did so many things that I should have taught my oldest 2 kids (24 & 15) when they were younger because I had a control issue and thought that I could only do it the right way, well I was wrong. I have since learned with my daughter who is 5 (yes I know big age gaps) that at 18 mo I had her help me load clothes into the wash, press the start button and it progressed into helping unload the wash into the dryer, to now putting her own clothes in, pours the soap, starts it and now we are practicing folding, and my 15 yr old does his on his own. It may not be perfect but it okay. I know letting go of control can be hard for some but our kids need to learn and they appreciate and respect their clothes much more
It is so cute to see baby fold and laundry. In our family we usually start them off at 4 years old , just because it's the age where they can understand more and remember what they have been taught.
This is awesome. Plus the little ones they know and they will help but they for sure are not excited about laundry lol. It’s great that you guys work so well as a family I love it.❤️❤️❤️
I too taught my son how to do his own laundry, fold clothes, clean his room and cook at a very young age also. I began teaching him to sort his own laundry by colours at 18mths old, measure out detergent using measuring cups and funnels at 2yrs. I made it into a game and he loved it. I started teaching him to cook supervised at 2,3&4. At 5yrs, he knew how to make Mac and Cheese, boil eggs, hotdogs, make a sandwish, pop corn, make lemonade juice, make Betty Crocker box cake, etc., all by himself. He is an adult now and he is so happy and proud that he knows how to do all those things. I remembered friends and family members were concerned that maybe he was too young at the time, when I'd told them that I was teaching him these skills, but I didn't think so and thank God I didn't listen to them because it relieved a lot of stress and freed up time for me to do other things.
You and your husband is great Parent's. I watch y'all sometimes. Each time i watch i'm very impressed. Your children's are well behaved. I like your Parenting skills. The whole structure; how you maintain your household. It's very Entertaining. And fun. I really love how you put education first. You're hands-on. And that's great to see you teach your kid's the importance of self love. And family love. You're so impressive! Thanks for sharing👍
You have an awesome system, when my son was younger his job was the washcloths, hand towels, dish towels and rags, our body towels were too much at do at 3 yrs old ❤️
I wish I had this type of training. I didn’t learn how to do laundry until my freshman year of college, luckily my roommates taught me. Very important lesson and I’ll teach my kids the second I have them.
Omg! I Absolutely love your family. I love the fact that everything that you guys did was pretty much family orientated and it wasn’t all of you.❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank u for sharing
I've often wondered about that detergent. I'm going to give it a try. After watching this I will never complain or have a negative thought about doing laundry. (lol) Great organizational skills. Its funny watching the kids body language when talking about chores. They seem respectful and obedient. Good job. ❤

Alena and Joe, you are so organised. teaching children to be independent is imperative. I still dry my clothes the old fashioned way, on the washing line outside. Only use the dryer when its raining.

I love the way you come up with great ideas to keep everything organize. You have a great family and the way baby is so independent, she is a big helper.
Totally agree. I started my kids at 8 and then 10 to iron their school clothes. Now they’re 24, 18 & 14 they cook, clean and honor students and athletes. And no they don’t have social issues not depressed or whatever else. They’re loving kids and I’m proud to be called mom. Good job Mazelee
why was the "and no they dont have social issues not depressed or whatever else" necessary??? parents can raise their kids exactly like this and they still end up with social issues or depressed and theres absolutely nothing wrong with that.
@@samanthacarden no that’s not what I’m saying. People are quick to say that when you give your kids chores at an early age, they end up troubled and to stop being so lazy and let kids be kids. You have no idea how many times I’ve seen posts where the mom either discipline their kids or give them chores and some people say when they’re older they’re are going to have mental health issues because of it

People are moving away from the term "Master" Bedroom, the shift is happening in the home decor/renovation community/TV. The term is racist. It comes from the period of slavery, the slave owners' room was called the "Master" Bedroom. The update and newly used is "Main" Bedroom.
