Thank you for your review. Sharing the actual footage of the products in use, sets you apart from 99% of the other reviewers on RUclips who just sit in a studio and ask us to believe what they're saying.

Great video. I have 2 old Bogen tripods I just updated with Manfrotto 500AH on the smaller and 502AH on the medium.

ordered FM18, $60... on sale, failed pretty badly. Camera pretty heavy, around 7lbs. Side-to side no problem, but tilt, it really just tightens or loosens, it doesn't pan up and down well.
EDITED: 1) I received the FM18 not the FM18/2. I wonder if this could make a difference? 2) I decided to keep it and not return it, and I'm going to deal with it. It does loosen up a little over time. It is still not very great at up-and-down.

put the handle on the manfroto on the other way, then the control knobs will be ergonomically better placed (that is why the handle has the bend in it)

I would have thought the Davis & Sanford would have been twice as expensive, just from the name. I have a couple of cheaper Manfrotto heads and have been thinking of getting one of their Nitrotech heads with both adjustable drag and adjustable counterbalance. At $500, though, I hope it lasts at least 10 years.

I've had the Davis & Sanford for about 6 or 7 years now. I think the pan has loosened just a little, but overall still really good. But the manfrotto is my go to now.

Howdy, I was thinking about a fluid head for still photography. I have a ball head and rather than looking for a better ball head I thought maybe fluid. I don't have those giant wildlife or sports lenses I do have 80-200 , 24-70 , and 160mm in 2.8 and the Canon 5D Mark iii which is all heavy stuff. What I was wondering is I like using an L bracket which is Arca-swiss , I don't know if you take out the quick release for those heads will they acomodate the AC mount?

I don't see a benefit to a fluid head for still photography. So long as your plate has threads on the bottom, it is adaptable to any other plate, if that is what you are asking.

@@MichaelWTurner Thanks, I ended up ordering Benro's 3 gear drive or what ever you call it. I have a small Benro ball head on a platypod and I am really impressed with it so I am sure the gear drive will be great. I like the little safety feature in the camera release knob too. Have a good one.

Does the manfrotto head work on the ifootage monopods, other than heavier to carry?

Do all heads have the same screw-in size? I’m thinking on getting the Magnus VPH20 for my Manfrotto Element 65
