Portal 2's most NERVE-RACKING Achievement

- After finishing off the achievements in The Orange Box I decided to continue my Valve spree and finally mop up my remaining Portal 2 Achievements.
A quicker video this time as I didn't have many left at all but working on a couple of bigger projects currently also!

I have 50/51 achievements, Still Alive is legit the only one I've been missing since I picked up the game in 2015 since I had nobody to grind attempts with. So annoying
valve counted to 3 with the hug achievement. crazy.

This achievement is much easier when you actually know the game. Still a pain though

it only took 3 tries with my co-op partner, we were surprisingly coordinated and only killed each other ~3 times through the entire co-op course
oh boy, this and portal conservation society took me and my friend a literal year to complete
it was worth it in the end though

I 100% Portal 2 during the 360 era but have recently acquired it on PC & trying to do the same. Sadly I have no one to play with on PC so I’ll be stuck without the co-op achievements.
I remember doing this achievement with my friend recently and us getting mad at each other for messing up 30 minutes of progress, but it was fun, and it allowed me to get all portal 2 achievements finally. Now I'm basically forced to grind out the last 3 achievements in portal 1.
Oh I know those last three achievements in Portal that you speak of… the medals related ones in the challenge rooms? Those are a pain.
@@StealthyZombie yea the medals. The portal ones are easy, step ones are just annoying, but the time ones are the definition of pain.
I did Still Alive with a random from True Achievements. It was nerve-wracking cause the guy didn't have a mic and didn't seem very knowledgeable about the game. Thankfully he was patient and seemed to understand what I was saying really well. He pinged to confirm he got what I was saying and for the more dangerous sections later, he sent messages to make sure he knew what he should be doing.
What a hero.

I'm super close to having all of them aswell, only 2 left are Professor Portal and Friends List. Took me hours to do the Still Alive by myself with 2 seperate controllers, and was lucky enough to get my mum to help me with the Triple Crown achievement.
This game was my first completion on xbox back in the day, good times. I enjoyed watching this.

My brother and I tried this one night. We got maybe halfway through, but I misunderstood ONE THING he said, he died, then started screaming at me for ruining the run.

Portal 2 on xbox 360 was the first game I bought with my own money. I remember we ordered it off amazon, and it had arrived, but my mom wouldn't let me have it for an extra week for some reason. Played it through all at once and got in trouble for playing for too long again, and then the proudest moment ten year old me had was telling my parents how to finish tests they were stuck on
I genuinely bought a *separate* copy of Portal 2 for myself and my partner, on brand new Steam accounts, just to get this achievement.
Sometimes it just has to be done 😂
Great video! I remember 100%ing Portal 2 on pc and doing this with one of my friends, we went on to practice speedrunning together :) Although I did notice that your Portal 2 only has 50 achievements whilst PC Portal 2 has 51. Do you know what this missing achievement is?

It was called Talent Show I think.
You had to complete a co-op test chamber with no deaths to the Companion Cube at all, meaning one of the jumps to catch it had to be absolutely perfectly timed to be able to catch it after a launch and not drop it, otherwise you have to restart the entire sequence.

when i did it.. me and my friend may or may not of just used cfg in almost every chamber
I do test chamber 3 without the cube and button. I do it VERY differently lol
In course 4, there is a glitch with funnels that lets you fly, the only problem is that nobody I play with randomly online knows how to do it or what I’m even doing, so it becomes quite hard for me to get the deathless achievement when other people don’t know what I’m doing
I use it for course 3 4 and 5
Its quite easy to teach

Got portal 2 for PS3 like a year ago. I recommend it
I bought two copies of the game on steam to complete the "Still Alive" achievement by myself and ended up 100%ing Portal 2 twice.
I once completed this achievement alone, with two controllers, in splitscreen. Or, at least *I would've*. But the game didn't give me the achievement after completing the task.
But I do have it by now. :)
Going through all that only to not get the achievement would take me a while to recover from!
It has to be done on Xbox Live co op, it can't be done Splitscreen, as I sadly also found out myself back in the day
I'm stuck with 2 trophies left to go on Counter Strike Global Offensive where I need to pick up a bomb and win a round by detonating it, the other getting a kill while an enemy is in the air. Problem is the servers are gone forever on the PS3 and you start with the bomb every round when you play as the terrorist team with bots. Unless there's a LAN mode I never knew about, it may be impossible for me at this point.
That's annoying to be so close. There's a few old games I would want to finish but some of the content is discontinued :(

I got to the last level 3 times, and died, once because my friend went to the bathroom when the turrets insta killed him without him bein able to save himself.

Professor Portal was a bastard for me to do back in 2012/2013, just sending friend requests to multiple randoms until I got lucky with one person that hadn't played at all and were nice enough to respond. Sadly I don't have that account anymore so I need to do the Co Op again.
Thank fucking god the game is Backwards Compatible and you no longer need to find someone who hasn't done the calibration course that has active xbox live membership thanks to membership sharing via Home Xbox setting, meaning using an Alt account to boost it with people is so much easier. Also, you missed out on getting the game for free, it was the final Xbox 360 game given away on Games With Gold back in September, which annoyed me since I owned my disc and I'd bought a disc for my girlfriend a few months prior. Luckily I sold them quickly enough to dodge the price drop in Cex

Yeah when I was editing the game sounds were a lot more noticeable in the background but watching it back on RUclips i thought the same

It really isn't that difficult, TBH.

Sadly impossible to complete on PS3 because there's 2 online-only achievements and the servers are down :( I really hate when games have online achievements, why stop people from getting the platinum in the future??
