Sometimes By accident ,still today , I texted you pretending to ignored the fact that you my friend ,are not with us anymore . I miss you so much … but anytime I feel sad I watch you again on drag Race , I see our videos and pictures together , I read our texts ( I got them safe on my cellphone still and not planning to erased them ever ) our laughs , the times you comfort me when I was sick , or even felt defeated, the time you celebrate with me all the success in our careers , that time that we celebrate our friendship and our respect for each other, and all this memories help me to focus on be always a better person . I will never stop saying thank you to Rupaul , Production and my sisters for this beautiful homage to my angel . And like , you make me promise a couple of days before you left this planet , on behalf of you , I will continue making my dreams come true … I will always love you …

I loved chi chi…she came from such a rough childhood and such a harsh environment, and she still was fighting to be a star, to be better and give life a try! I saw such a sweetness in her Heart! Funny thing is I was watching that seasons finale last night on Netflix, and I found out just about 5 minutes ago about her passing 🥺 She made our hearts melt, the moment we saw her in that sequin red dress! My sweet child…may she Rest In Peace

Chi Chi died too soon. I only knew her from watching RPDR and I thought she was a genuine, honest and loving human being. We need a million more ChiChis in this world. I will miss you, Ms. DeVayne.

I'm a black gay man from Brazil, that never had a lot a money but I had a dream that nobody believe in, and when she popped on the screen, I felt that little bit of hope that one day I'd do the grand thing I've always imagined. She made everything out of nothing and she passed leaving a legacy on talent, persuasion and sweetness that will live forever.
My time has passed, I'm 30 now but whoever have a dream or if you have a child or a beloved one with a dream, encourage it. Help them get there. Sometimes we only need a little push.

I grew up poor in Central Louisiana, and seeing someone like me shine on that big stage while still being herself was truly inspiring. I wish she was still here to bring her special energy to the world.

I met Chi Chi back in 2015 when she did a show in Brooklyn and so i was going through some problems with the opinions of my family finding out i wanted to do drag. So i was at a bar where she was and she saw me looking sad and she gave me some advice ill never forget.

Thorgy's value of her tells me so much about Chi Chi's character. Chi Chi is who synced Thorgy home for christ's sake. Chi Chi was so mature and talented. Fun fact I watched season 8 and fell in love with her and afterward tried to look up the "I'm Not Going" lip sync afterwards to watch again and found out she had passed a few months prior. AFTER WATCHING THE WHOLE SEASON AND LOVING HER. It was heartbreaking.
I watched season 8 for the first time just recently. There were so many moments where I choked up knowing that Chi Chi is already gone; little things she would say about her dreams for the future and how she wanted to be perceived and remembered. Watching her lipsync against Thorgy made me fall apart completely. You were right, angel-- we really were destined to love you.

I cry about Chi Chi probably four times a year. I miss her so much. She was such an inspiration... coming from the place she came from and working as hard as she did to get where she did... and then not being able to reap the rewards of her hard work... it kills me. Me too. I follow her page on Facebook and the second and final time she was in the hospital I broke down ugly cry sobbing with her Facebook stories post asking for prayers. I somehow knew it would be her final message. She had the same death rattle breathing my dad had when he passed away 11 years ago from lung cancer. I’m crying now as I think about it. Chi Chi aka Zavion Michael Davenport was and still is one of my favorite queens. Taken too soon but is no longer in pain.
It feels weird knowing that you can still see her and watch her on your phone but not in person, also why did you have to do the outro of Jaida , it took me out of it

@@ggoddf5889 I think it’s mainly because we had hoped to meet her one day to express the love that we have bubbling inside of us for her and knowing she is gone; we lost that part of giving that love back to her. But I hope she knew she was loved by ALL of the people in and outside of the community.

I remember seeing Chi Chi a few years back at Dragcon. She was such a sweet and humble queen, and all smiles when talking to her fans.
I wanted ChiChi to do so well when I first saw her. I remember she said she couldn’t afford expensive outfits. But her talents shONE through brighter than any sequinned designer dress. RIP.

That bit with Thorgy getting emotional at the end got me, especially when you look where they came from in terms of their rivalry in Season 8. Just goes to show that all of that means nothing in the bigger picture.

I didn’t know anything about drag race until about last year then I binged watched all the episodes. I fell in love with chichi instantly. After I started watching the all stars I thought, I wonder if chichi is in one? I looked it up and found out she had passed. I was so heart broken to hear. So I didn’t know her personally but this video made me legit cry. Rest in peace girl. ❤
i was watching season 8 for the first time almost a year ago and chi chi quickly became one of my faves on the season. i googled her randomly one day and saw that she passed. i was in the middle of the season and was just so sad watching the rest of it. i haven’t watched her all stars season yet so i’m glad there’s still some content for me to see her in.
I love the fact that I can’t cry for my own hardships in life, but watching this I shed tears. We all loved Chi Chi. And we all miss her dearly. 🥺

Especially in these times when we all make ourselves strong and for the passion that is represented or the free sexuality is not judged. Our goal must be to stand together and fight together for all we have lost, for all we love and pay attention on a professional basis and especially for the future of those who are yet to come. I ugly cried the first time I saw Chi Chi’s tribute. I was late to jump on the Drag Race bandwagon, and she was on the first season of the show I saw. Chi Chi stood out as a fantastic performer, a kind soul, and beautiful in and out of drag. 34 is far too young to leave this world, and we’re all still hurting from her passing. 💔
