Queens of Talk in season 6 was dumb. They did it again in season 15 and called it 50/50. Why do the queens need to know how to interview celebrities? I don't want to learn things about celebrities. I'd rather learn about the queens. It's just an irrelevant challenge.
Learning how they interact with other people IS learning about the queens. And if they ever want to get to a high level, they need to be able to hold an interesting conversation (i.e. Trixie and Katya). Hell, even if they host a brunch it's still a skill they need.
Besides de premiere, I really like S13, maybe because I love Symone so much and I am so runway focused... don't really get what could make s13 so poorly rated besides de premiere.
I think the premiere hurts the season because it is clear from the start that the "winner" squad will be favored and the "porkchop" squad will be overlooked, which is why some strong queens like Denali or Rose or even Utica ended up being overlooked and treated poorly by production while queens on the other group where clearly favored (like Kandy for instance, being saved after losing a lipsync), so it is a case where the premiere ends up hindering the entire season I think (no shade to any queens and ofc Symone is so amazing but that is why I think S13 isn't as highly rated as other seasons)
The first episode doomed s13 imo, because it made obvious to everyone watching (not tv savvy people, but all viewers) who were the favourites and who weren't. and it made it really mean spirited for the "loser" group in general, for example, people wouldn't really noticed the mistreatment of Utica if the first episode didn't happen, same with Denali.
I sub to you but I was too lazy to scroll to find this video since I’m catching up on my subscriptions since being sick and I typed jackf in the search w autocorrected to jackfruit but you still showed up on top!
The idea of the World's Worst is good. I can see how it could succeed. They could do that challenge again, but give the queens better scenarios. The only good scenario was the 3 old ladies. Better scenarios would make for a better outcome.
A. I would love if you would do this for All Stars/international seasons too. I really enjoyed this concept and analysis! B. Perhaps the low rating for the premiere episode might stem from 2009 being a generally more homophobic time, and them seeing it in their TV lineup had them feeling some type of way, as IMDb and people rating (and rate bombing too) stuff has been around for decades.
this video apparently enthralled me so much that i didn't hear my neighbour yelling because they fell over in the street, and all other my neighbours yelling for help and their dogs barking. 5/5
My issue with season 13 was that they filmed it when they did. I thought they would take a year off or so to give the world time to open back up. I felt so bad for Jaida because she didn’t really get to reap the rewards of being a winner. I mean I know the show must go on, but damn!
If we’re being Technical, Kim Chi isn’t Japanese. She is Korean.. so if we’re being really technical, no one should’ve worn a Kimono but it’s just a look.. so production needs to start telling Queens someone else has that look already.
One thing I've wondered sometimes was if Kimonos was originally a runway prompt that got discarded partway into the season planning. But then some DA's had kimonos they really wanted to use, so they figured they'd use it for the Madonna runway.
Or have them get randomly assigned a look. Like it wouldn't be hard to plug say 30 iconic Madonna looks into a program and have a queen hit the button, whatever the program spits out becomes their concept then the program removes that look from the pool
Kim Chi's Kimono was the best on them all... so well done, looked amazing! Bob mentioned on a podcast that two others (not sure who) also brought Kimonos ....😂
I really love Season 13. Not all episodes, but for the most part the cast was excellent imo. Had no idea so many episodes were rated as low as they were.
Im not a fan of Delta, but holy cow I agree with that annoying thing about things giving...exactly what they are supposed to give😂like...why even use the words "it's giving-" if you are just gonna say whatever it is exactly as how it looks?!😂
I think using “it’s giving” is only annoying when it’s used to describe what a thing literally is. I really love when someone uses “it’s giving” to describe something with more flavor like “that green couch is giving the grinch’s living room decor if he was a millionaire”
Not mentioning the REAL reason why country queens is rated so low is a huge oversight. Chicken or what was by far the worst mini challenge the show ever produced.
i would argue that the guest judges for season 8 were also part of why the episode was received so poorly. gigi and chanel just were not giving what they needed to give.
I really love re-watching the first eight seasons of RPDR. To be honest I’ve watched seasons 13-16 through The Pit Stop, exclusively. I don’t like how they’ve focused more on looks, or more popular young queens, so I wait for TPS every week and see what happened.
The S7 one is so crazy, like i literally quote that episode all the time because it's so funny. I've had JDF's "I hope you trip. I hope you fall." stuck in my head for years 🤣
Wandering if there’s a video talking about the reunion episodes specifically like ranking or talking about the drama Or could be an interesting video to do 🤔
The Evil Twin episode was madness but RuPaul being dismissive of any struggle that isn't addiction is not new. That seems to be the only one he can relate to so it's the only one where he shows empathy. With anything else he's just like "don't let that hold you back" when it's very clearly a bigger issue. I think the only reason that Katya's anxiety was addressed at all is because she is also a recovering alcoholic. If your struggles are a good sob story it's cool but if your struggles actually hinder you in the competition, it's your fault for "letting your inner saboteur get to you".
it wasnt star wars or star trek, the acting challenge in season 3 was inspired and a parody of Barbarella with jane fonda , rupaul says it in the episode when shes explaining the challenge
I hated season 13 because it felt like season 8. Rigged. It was clear certain episodes felt rigged. Mostly to Kandy (so many episodes where she should have been in the bottom) and Gottmik. Then there's the design challenge where Utica was robbed.

If you haven’t made the plan yet, I’d love to see this done for international seasons too. (We all know which it would be for Holland season 2)
the episode/elimination that was so bad it cancelled a franchise.
@@imaminordw yep, that episode were Keta is eliminated has a 2.3 rating.
And UK 3 would’ve been on it, that one challenge was very… meh
@@ItzSonnyyy are we speaking of draglexa? there’s a few episode on UK3 that could be there though. snatch game possibly?
That clip of Delta took me tf out😂
Just found your channel and it is heaven I have loads of RPDR content to watch with insightful analysis 🎉
I feel like asking your viewers if they're familiar with Trixie would be like asking Christians if they know the pope lol
I loved season 13 myself. Well besides the first episode, but that’s a given.
Symone is so bland though
We all know that Max, Jaidynn and Violet should’ve won that spoof challenge. I’m pretty sure they gave the win to kennedy just for storyline purposes.
The whole scat porn / Real Gays drama was an insane thing to watch happen in real time
I sub to you but I was too lazy to scroll to find this video since I’m catching up on my subscriptions since being sick and I typed jackf in the search w autocorrected to jackfruit but you still showed up on top!
5:00 The way Bad Romance did come back shortly after this video and it was amazing.
"s13 reunion places at lowest episode from the franchise with 4.2"
oh global all stars save me
The idea of the World's Worst is good. I can see how it could succeed. They could do that challenge again, but give the queens better scenarios. The only good scenario was the 3 old ladies. Better scenarios would make for a better outcome.
I loved this video ! Can you do the same for US all stars ? (it would make sense looking at that first part of AS9 finale)
If you do part 2 it will be every episode of global all stars
I came here to say the same thing hahaha
All Queens Go to Heaven was rough. The season 15 talent show was amazing. One of the best premieres ever. It was a hard episode to top.
I agree! The heaven episode was so rushed and the best Queen went home :(
this video apparently enthralled me so much that i didn't hear my neighbour yelling because they fell over in the street, and all other my neighbours yelling for help and their dogs barking. 5/5
Really surprised Queens of Talk ep from season 6 is so highly rated. Every time I rewatch it it physically pains me.
I have to skip over that challenge. It’s too cringy for me to ever rewatch.
I loved the worst episode from season 5. Tasha Salad is hilarious. Detox was good too, but I really loved Roxxxy in this challenge.
Detox yelling "box" in a chicken voice will live rent free in my head until my final days
Alyssa's pained "It sure is sunny. up. here." has haunted me ever since I first heard it
@@calamityradio it's one of my favorites from the season
This reminds me to rewatch season 5
My issue with season 13 was that they filmed it when they did. I thought they would take a year off or so to give the world time to open back up. I felt so bad for Jaida because she didn’t really get to reap the rewards of being a winner. I mean I know the show must go on, but damn!
Evil Twin is like saying "Have you tried being happy?"
It's giving me replying to a RUclips comment in agreement 💅
@@definitelynotashark1799 🤣
I think using “it’s giving” is only annoying when it’s used to describe what a thing literally is. I really love when someone uses “it’s giving” to describe something with more flavor like “that green couch is giving the grinch’s living room decor if he was a millionaire”
Please do All Stars version as well!
I'd love to see the highest rated of each seasson!! Grreat job!!
Not mentioning the REAL reason why country queens is rated so low is a huge oversight. Chicken or what was by far the worst mini challenge the show ever produced.
Its giving green couch mawma
Love the theme here. I'm so use to hearing about "the best" episodes so it's refreshing to hear about the lowest rated ones too. Well done 👍✅
i would argue that the guest judges for season 8 were also part of why the episode was received so poorly. gigi and chanel just were not giving what they needed to give.
I wish season 13 was filmed in 2021.
Perfect to watch over my lunch break ♥
I really love re-watching the first eight seasons of RPDR. To be honest I’ve watched seasons 13-16 through The Pit Stop, exclusively. I don’t like how they’ve focused more on looks, or more popular young queens, so I wait for TPS every week and see what happened.
The S7 one is so crazy, like i literally quote that episode all the time because it's so funny. I've had JDF's "I hope you trip. I hope you fall." stuck in my head for years 🤣
Wandering if there’s a video talking about the reunion episodes specifically like ranking or talking about the drama
Or could be an interesting video to do 🤔
The Evil Twin episode was madness but RuPaul being dismissive of any struggle that isn't addiction is not new.
Any challenge involving ross matthews is doomed to fail
I would be really interested to see vids like this using only contemporary ratings, from the year, and maybe the year after, it came out.
The country queens episode is so legendary though....
This is a what a video essay should be and it is awesome!
I want an episode on Jocelyn Fox becoming the worst interviewer ever in that dang talk show episode.
15:45 kimono-gate was iconic! it really speaks to how deep down every queer person wants to be a geisha😂😂
Season two is runway wasn’t “denim and diamonds “it was country queen
MY NEW FAV CHANNEL! I LOVE YOUUUUUUU SO MUCHH!! 😭✨😘🫶🏻
this is making me want to rewatch the older seasons.. will i? maybe
Season 5 has aged the best, while season 6 feels very from that era.
it wasnt star wars or star trek, the acting challenge in season 3 was inspired and a parody of Barbarella with jane fonda , rupaul says it in the episode when shes explaining the challenge
I hated season 13 because it felt like season 8. Rigged. It was clear certain episodes felt rigged. Mostly to Kandy (so many episodes where she should have been in the bottom) and Gottmik. Then there's the design challenge where Utica was robbed.
Evil Twins was an afterthought. A lot of those runways looked the same, but why? Because they were meant for a prehistoric runway.
Can you do this for all stars? ❤
