Akaash was on point with the feedback and critique. I think Yannis is misinterpreting the crowd's response to his joke. I don't think they are uncomfortable with the premise, it's just not delivered clearly enough, making it hard to follow. Even when he repeated the joke during this episode, he delivered it differently everytime. It needs to be edited like a term paper so that it is crisp and delivered the same way consistently. It felt too improvised and on the spot like he was spitting the shit at the barber shop.
I do it too when I speak in English cause I'm not a native speaker and when I'm trying to describe something it is sooooo hard, imagine telling a good joke in another language, trust me is hard to be as good as it was in your head so you starting say like and ya know to save it 😂😂😂😂
This series is literally a fucking course for aspiring comedians. Just seeing a joke completely deconstructed is so fun to watch. This shouldn't be free. 😅👌🏿
I feel like sitting in the audience at MSG for Bill Burr's 50 tour was one big episode of inside joke, but he commits so hard and takes the offense that you have no choice but to laugh.
I'm new to your stuff, but I've yet to hear you do something that hasn't made me laugh. I love listening to comics flesh out jokes, and attitudes towards comedy. Thank-you
I would love to be a joke writer in this type of setting with other writers. I could never be the front man and deliver but coming up with ideas would be cool.
This is really a great idea that you've come up with. Too many people seem to get so offended for some reason more and more. It's sad that jokes like these get people so triggered but if said in just a different way sometimes it can do better.
I definitely thought the joke could have been cleaner and tighter. Maybe throw in some of the Schulz style off-hand shock comments he was suggesting to unsettle them a bit and take some of the pressure off the joke to be directed at alliteration/potty humor while the punchline is being built up to (since it took so long to get there, don't bore them).
He's NOT jewish? Wow...that one caught me off guard. The joke could be worked into a very long string of bits and easy peasy to call it back with other bits. The dudes got some great humor, though. Totally going to be watching anything I can find of his.
Wow these are really insightful into how jokes are made and shaped. I didn't realize it took so much fine tweaking to make jokes as good as they are. I thought it was mostly talent and thinking of a good jokes, not so much the build up to it...
It could work. But he'd need to set it up by finding a way to tell the jesus carried you in hard times story. And i don't think it's hard to make that funny.
Say "1 "SET" of footprints" ... (Implying the visual of two "feet" making 1 SET of footprints. Wow the hole in the hands... Andrew that was faster then Charla... i need a shower after inadvertently laughing.
At the end when god comes back and says that, finish with: Why do you think you say “oh god” pause... it’s because I was there with you the whole time! EDIT: oh forgot to mention, that takes away god from being gay.
The problem here is building on the first half isnt really making fun of catholics... At all ... That was in the second part, the footprints part, the part that was bad... The part you all dropped
What this mean in the Bible? know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Revelation 2:9
@@josephalbatross5961 great question. Savior is kind of a mistranslation. In Judaism we say it is up to us to free ourselves, G-d gave us the ability to overcome the challenges presented to us. It is when the world is ready to exist in the fullness of the Infinite's Light, and all being are conscious of G-d, that the Messiah will come to shepard us into the next age of consciousness.
So glad Nguyen is there! He just adds and adds to the conversation. Please never do this without such an integral part. the whole show would fall apart with his important and constant insight.
The worst part of the original bit is the set-up of Jesus being un-Catholic. It's not just wordy, it's preachy. But it's got potential. There's a something funny about Jesus telling you off. Just needs a sharper approach. The footprints bit itself is great!
batman signal for the messiah classic lmao
Loooooooool
@bob bobdr funny tho
@bob bobdr no its fine to pick on Jews and Muslims and christian and atheist and any religion and any race. I am Jew and found some of this funny.

i like how this is the first time they had a fix a joke that genuinely needed fixing and not just expanding.
17:00 joke was epic.... one more thing this Indian guy was always on point n got the best suggestions...in this whole series
that's right. 1000% accurate
Yannis seemed like the most Jewish guy ever, V surprised hes christian
Greek
@@YelloDuzzit oooo 0.o
Winston that’s his parkslope showing
I thought it was obvious from his name that he is Greek...
@@Pascal61 Can a greek not be jewish? wtf are you talking about kid
“They’re making soap out of us down here” lmao
Yeah bat signal for the Messiah was brilliant!
Akaash really shined in this one with technical writer's knowledge of how to punch up a 4/10.
"...first of all, that would be grreat." LOL
As a Muslim, those jokes were fuckin hilarious, love to appreciate the smartness behind comedy and joke writing
Yannis is a legend
Had a blast
I love this format. Get into the writing, the minds. So good
Hopefully when he tells the joke onstage he doesn't say "like" and "ya know" this much 😂 ya know?
I do it too when I speak in English cause I'm not a native speaker and when I'm trying to describe something it is sooooo hard, imagine telling a good joke in another language, trust me is hard to be as good as it was in your head so you starting say like and ya know to save it 😂😂😂😂
Does the asian comedian talk?
He's there for the sushi
He's a fuckin ninja! His last point about "blowing dudes... Up" was on point.
He tried to once. On a different episode. They ignored him.
aakash is also asian, just saying.
I wish he would he’s cute!
That's why I have holes in my hands" lmaof
These videos are HIGHLY underrated and you should definitely make more !!! Binge watching all of them
The "faith off" bit, followed by batman, turned into Super Jew.. breh. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
As a Jew, superjew was the funniest bit 😂
Chayim Zifkin same. Loved it.
"Stop making soap out of my people"... Jesus Christ dude. Triple entendre don't even ask me how
"Blow up, but not all of them"
((((((:
Fcking hillarious
I recently discovered that I haven't seen all of these. This was gold.
Peekaboo line coupled with saying that the jew messiah is still playing hide n seek could work
That is fucking phenomenal material
This series is literally a fucking course for aspiring comedians. Just seeing a joke completely deconstructed is so fun to watch. This shouldn't be free.
😅👌🏿
Andrew was right, silence during a joke can be deafening
Brainstorming off of each other is so effective! It's so cool to see the inside of comedians' brains
Best episode so far! Really saw the true fleshing out of a potentially HILARIOUS joke. Dope 👌
This show is beyond brilliance !
This is such a brilliant idea....comedians talking about these difficult jokes and trying to improve it! xD
I guess I’m the slept king on this one
This bit could go into multiple avenues. Each guy added parts to it.
I love this series
I think people don't laugh at Yannis Pappas's joke becuase his delivery horrible.
David Nguyen is underrated!
This is such a great series. I hope it never ends.
watching this process is fuckin great. love this series, schulz
We need this bit animated! Melting like soap and bat signal kills ha
As pure stand up comedy fan I love this segment
Andrew is a genius
Batlight for the messiah line brought the whole joke home
Omfg this was great

Batsignal for the messiah is the funniest part
"First of all, it would be great!" Funniest part of a bunch of funny parts in this video.
This joke was funny as hell

17:58 The best one
Jesus's hands were the first flesh light.
Called it "the holy hand grenade"
"I'm Jesus, this one time, at banned camp, I couldn't keep my hands off my wood for like 6 hours"
I would love to be a joke writer in this type of setting with other writers. I could never be the front man and deliver but coming up with ideas would be cool.
Amazing show
you know its a good episode when everyone looks into the camera multiple times
I miss the green room. This is like its 2.0 version. I dig it.
I love this show.
LOOOOLLLLLLL got a Hebrew advert

God I want more
The Jews did too. Look how that turned out.
@@str8todamoney HAHAHAH
Not gonna lie.. I like the premise but the joke was just Trash... 😧😧
When he started whispering, he lost the delivery. My opinion.
I just think there are too many jokes in one. Split it into two.
A joke about jews and another about Catholicism.
Needs to cut the flap
Get Stavros Halkias on this please
Get nick mullen!
That's offensive! My grandfather died in Auschwitz. He fell out of the guard tower.
Nice

Yannis the most jewish person I've never met
He's Greek or some shit. Not Jewish.
He did a really good rabbi impression though.

the bit came across as two seperate bits

The Messiah, for the Jews, has been promised since about the Babylonian exile (2500-2600 years ago). Stick with it, great routine
Andrew always mentions he's white but never his Jewish heritage. Even here he was silent

From a Jewish perspective the Messiah comes when the world is in its most perfect state, not because it's bad times.

From what does one need saving, then? Pretty sure that's what saviors and messiahs do.
