- 1.8L Toyota Corolla S Serpentine Belt replacement. Get slack on the tensioner and pull the belt at the alternator, make a diagram of how the belt is routed so you refer back to it to get it back on. Take your time and work on it when the engine is cold cause it sucks to get burned. IF you have a floor jack that might come in handy if you need to route the belt around the crankshaft from underneath.

I don't think you helped anyone with this video you showed us an engine bay and told us a story who did that really help?
Good explanation, helped me understand info I found other places.
Thanks for this video , very simple and self explanatory...
Good job 👍
Thank you. 👍
easy, thanks for the video!👍
Its looks like your valve cover is leaking? Or timing chain cover?
+Julian yes the valve cover was leaking. Here is the video where I fix it:

Why doesn't anyone every mention that big metal object next to the alternator? How it world is the belt going to route like you say without rubbing against that big metal object? The metal object does not rotate. That would wear out the belt in no time.
What a waste of time. Nothing beats a description of how to do it on video. People watch these to SEE how to do it, not a description after the fact. Pointless.
Stop talkin do the job jesus
You just wasted my data.
What's load of rubbish this you did nothing just yap. Yap
Thanks for nothing!
It’s really not that hard to change, if you can do a tire you can do this without detailed instructions
@@bundysgarage Good point, and great advice. With that being said, it's really not that hard to do a proper video, which you failed on.
This video is waste of time. Nothing to learn
