I grew up in Arkansas and we used to camp every fall at Devil's Den. I loved climbing around and exploring the bluffs. Arkansas may be lacking culturally but it is an absolutely beautiful state.
Went there last July. Very humid, I'm from Texas. Not tech savvy, couldn't figure the scanning thing. Told the ranger, he was not allowed to take my money, told me to have a good time and enjoy myself. Called when I got home, lady told me thanks for trying to pay again, not allowed to take checks. Said she hoped I had a good time. I did!!! Camped in d-9 slot. What a great spot, building a new camper and will definitely go back, but before I go, I'll have my daughter pay my admission. Lol. Hey, thanks for the video, enjoyed seeing that place on film. And yes, the people there are a nice bunch of folks.
Thanks for this info! I live relatively close to Devil's Den SP. Went there years ago but I got so carsick getting there that I never went back. I didn't know about the other way using the West Fork exit. I think visiting again might help to cure my wanderlust for Utah's Mighty Five National Parks. They are so crowded now that they are almost ruined for me. Sticking closer to home is a huge bonus too!
I’m Mr. Car-Sick and Sea Sick and have never gotten sick taking the Winslow road. In fact, it is a beautiful ride. I am sorry that you got carsick tho and I certainly understand. We’ve been dozens of times from the south so the Winslow entrance saves maybe 90 minutes of travel time, round-trip!
You mentioned that you arrived late and checked in the next day. What is check in and check out Great video We are up in Springfield Missouri and must put this one on the list
We have been wanting to make a trip to Devils Den and will now. We took your Catherine’s Landing advice last year and made the trip, it was amazing. We agree, Arkansas is a hidden gem!

This is an amazing review we looked for state parks in AR and didn't find any, we clearly used the wrong site. We camp at COE Chawtaw in Clinton a lot. Arkansas is a beautiful state to camp, we drive from Missouri.

Great video! Did you happen to notice if any particular sites/loop/area were more big rig (40+) friendly than others? I looked at their web site, and the size of the sites isn't detailed.
The parking lot at the visitor center is fairly small and tight. I would not recommend bringing your rig to the visitor center. We unhooked at our site and then drove to check in. Good luck and happy camping!

Does A loop have a bathroom close to the campsite? And if so do you know if site 1 or site 20 would be closest?. Thank you for any and all the help.

That 15 mile Butterfield trail is no joke!
What a beautiful area! We haven't tried that particular trail but can't wait to get back down to that area to explore. We are going back this fall.

Also you were in 88 in you video with the nice area for tents in your site. Are all the sites set up like that in the e loop
I think they do all have a tent pad site in addition to the main spot for your rig. It was an incredible campground!

We were in site 88 and there would have been plenty of room for a 40+ rig. Good luck!
