I had a heart attack ( a bad one ) and was in the hospital for 7 weeks. Family fed and watered Bosco ( my boy cat ) while I was gone, but no one ever saw him. ( I live alone, he knows only me )...when I came home, after a few hours, he came out of his secret hiding place and called for me, in a howl I've never heard before. After 2 nights of cuddling, he was back to normal...Love my little man...

Over 2 years ago my Mum got very sick & weak from bowel cancer she didn't know she had & ended up in hospital for 8 weeks, had surgery & went through rehab to regain her strength. When she came home, our cat was a bit wary of her at first, probably because she smelled funny to him, but he soon got over it & was back to having cuddles with her & being spoiled by her.
Unfortunately, the cancer had spread to her liver & it ended up taking her life last year & for a while after he would go running to the back door whenever he heard the sound of her chairlift being used (sometimes I use it to bring groceries upstairs & my disabled friend uses it), only to be disappointed to see it wasn't her. He doesn't do that anymore, but he sticks to me like glue like he's afraid I'll disappear too (it doesn't help that my Dad died in 2012 & my brother in 2017).
This Friday coming I'm having sinus surgery & will be in hospital overnight myself. Although my neighbour will be feeding him, I do worry about how he will be emotionally, even if it is only 1 night & how he will act when I come home.
Cats most definitely love us & miss us when we're gone.

My dad was in hospital for a couple of months after his heart operation, and my parents’ cat, Millie stopped eating and over groomed herself into bald patches that the vet said was stress! How people can think animals don’t have feelings is beyond me! Glad you’re home and doing okay x

i have a cat named Millie as well! i had lung issues (Cystic Fibrosis) and had to be in the hospital for 2 months and she was emotional on my return but my best friend/roommate looked after her

That was heartbreaking to watch. When people say cats are cold and standoffish have never had a cat. Cats are such loving sweet animals. An incredible bond with their human. ❤ I know Pusic's family has the same bond with him.
I always think of the wonderful husband and wife who rescued a tiny sad sick kitten and gave him so much love and money to get better. It takes incredible people to do that.
My cat isn’t the cuddly type at all but I had a rough night of depression and felt a little paw on my shoulder and her little concerned look on her face in my face.♥️♥️♥️ I treasure every snuggle I do get!!

If anyone ever thinks a cat is OK alone for extended periods of time, please know that they are NOT. The problem is that WE know we're coming back; THEY don't. As far as they know, you might be gone forever. I'm glad that at least this man's family spent some time with him, but there was no question that this beautiful cat was going thru an ordeal. Their relationship is clearly exquisite ❤😽❤

Ours was the same. Even to the point he could recognize our footsteps upon opening the downstairs door before coming up to the apartment itself. They're such intelligent animals it's actually wild.

My cat was confined in a vet hospital for a week. When he was discharged, from the time he saw me until we arrived home, he never stopped meowing. He has a lot of stories to tell.
Every single time I leave for a couple of weeks, when I come back home my cat is meowing and walking around after me like a dog. It's like she's scolding me and telling me everything that happened while I was gone

Our two kitties are very attached to us. The female is a total daddy's girl. If he leaves, even for a few hours, she will carry toys around the house meowing and searching for him. When he gets home, it's a total purr-fest. Yes, cats love fully and deeply.

I think it's stronger because you have to earn a cats love they don't just give it
I think it's because cats don't go hyper as much as dogs, they show love in a more "normal" way.
Also it feels like dogs language is a bit easier to read for humans - for example it's easy to see that a wiggling tail is a hyper excited dog but you have to know that a straight tail is the cat equivalent of that.

@GMPranav Good comment. I'd say cats show love in a "deeper" quieter way than dogs. Dogs may be man's best frien but cats are our "soulmates"!

Pets understand everything we say, just try, I’ve experienced it many times. There’s no doubt about that. So speak to them before you leave them the same way you would speak to a human, telling them that you will be back and when. Don’t underestimate pets comprehension.

I tell my Phoebe if we are going to be late home. If I accidently bump into her I apologise and she responds - cats and humans do have a language, sort of!

@@user-zj4xm3uj7g ветеринарам виднее было возможно ли спасти чье-то животное, но как мы считаем, что лучше честно кому то сказать про минимальные шансы, чем давать ложные надежды и продлевать мучение животного и отнимать ваши деньги. Если реально нельзя было помочь, то там видимо все серьезно было. На будущее вам и не только вам: после 6 лет жизни кота желательно каждый год сдавать кровь и мочу чтобы вовремя заметить отклонения и лечить если это необходимо. Коты же ведь не говорят что у них болит и где, они годами могут это терпеть. 9,5 лет для кота это тоже солидный возраст. Он будет в ваших светлых воспоминаниях когда вы залечите свою боль. Мы это сами проходили, в детстве у авторо этого видеоролика была кошка, к сожалению 2 года прожила. Автору было 10 лет, рана долго отходила пока ему не подарили новую кошку. И прожила она 14 лет, даже успела увидеться с Пусиком когда мы лечили его (в 3 мес). А ту первую кошку автор вспоминает с теплотой. Новые члены семьи быстрее лечат душевные раны
I think that's one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. He was making me want to cry in the beginning. Seeing him so happy to see his daddy was beautiful. I get sick of people saying that our cats don't like us. Proof positive that they love us.

Those cats who were responsible for making that cat are not in this video and most people do not get to adopt the animals parents or siblings bcz they are normally in other homes or stray animals. When I was a kid and went on a class trip for a week my cat Loki showed that I was HIS freaking person. My parents were still there, but he went to my school in my village and looked for me every day from morning to night. We were kinda popular because of him. He was different than others. Don't ask me what we did. But when I came home he was glued to me and never let me out of his eyes. I was 7, maybe 8. My teacher was very conflicted by my cat in the classroom, but my classmates were speechless. They knew he went with me in the morning and got me back after end, but something about that week just did something. We got him when I was 5. Our other two female cats came 1 year after him, but he was....special? I don't know how to describe it.
In a world where love is less likely to be seen among humans. Animals constantly proves us that love still exist.
They are us without all the baggage of having an ego.

@@lesliecleary9197 I used to not like cats that much, got scratched a few times as a kid, but later in life a stray came to live in our yard, already older, who had a rough life, no k-9
's any more, very skinny. We fed him and build him a little insulated house (he really wasn't an indoor cat) and he came to the point when I came home from work, he would jump up at the sound of my car and come running top speed every time to sit on my lap. He stayed with us until his death due to an infected eye and loss of appetite. At least he had a retirement with all the food he wanted.

Been looking after my brothers cat was all alone two days had to take it to my place it's such a loving cat.

I was on holiday for 2 weeks. The longest ive been away from my cat. I came back and he was overjoyed. Wouldnt leave me alone, i tried to sleep but he would kay down on top of my face and lick me. He truly was the best friend i ever had. Sadly last year he had to be put down due to his kidneys shrivling up. he was 15 years old and not a day goes by where i dont miss him. R.I.P Karsten. I chose him out of the 3 kittens there and i made the best choice of my life.

Much love to Pusic and family and everyone reading this 😺💓! Brought such tears to my eyes. My cats dad, my husband, had cancer and never came back from the hospital two years ago😿💔. I stayed with my husband in the palleatic ward for the last month. He asked a nurse if a friend could bring our cat to the hospital to say goodbye, and it was allowed. That meeting meant the world for both of them, and they both knew the end was very near. My husband died that same week, and when I came home our little guy just hugged me endlessly in an armchair. His little furry being made of pure love has been my greatest light, and every day with him brings joy even in times of sorrow💖😺💗!

Right when he walks out the door and the cat just sits there waiting. The cat looked depressed and then got all happy. I can even feel and hear the purring when he came back home.

Oh that was so sweet. His dad was gone for such a long time. Pusic was so happy to see him again. I went on a trip and was gone for 4 days and my parents took care of my kitty Annikah for me. When I got home she ran up to me and couldn't stop rubbing and wanting me to hold her. She wouldn't let me out of her sight. She is my best friend.
That is not a ''dad'' smh, people are not related to an animal, get some therapy or something.
How about respecting animals for the Animals that they are? Also, like, a person can not be a parent like ''daddy, mommy, dad, mom'' if they do not have a kid or kids.
The actual parent, parents, to an animal are normally not even adopted with their offspring sooo.
I wish I had a camera to see what Lola does when I leave for work, the store, etc etc. She does meow at me in the spring/summer time in the window when she sees mommy’s home
