Crash test | Beamng drive vs Real life #7

- Hey there!! here's Damage and Physics comparison between real life crash tests and BeamNG Drive. I hope you guys like this.
Real life crashes were compared to BeamNG.Drive crashes and results are pretty good. Crashes were not exactly as real life but pretty close. Of course it was also hard for me to replicate crashes exactly the same. So some deviation in BeamNG.Drive could also be caused by my inaccuracy.

Good job my dude! This is really interesting. Hope you make more of these :D You probably wont see this comment, but i have to say, you did a REALLY good job on all the camera angles, choosing cars and setting up the scenarios. I guess this probably took quite a bit of time and effort. Im impressed, think you might be able to make a youtube carreer out of this :D Cant wait to see more, have a great day!
Thank you so much dude for your kind words

Which game is this
@@AHSONG BeamNG Drive. RUclips at least on a browser shows you what game the Author choose to place there. That's how some videos of people just talking about stuff while playing the CS:GO parkour maps have their videos listed as Warzone. It's to try and use RUclips's algorithm to their advantage XD
The only thing Beamng is lacking of at this day is that pieces of chassis won’t detatch from the car after a big impact
Some of the jeeps on beamng do that
@@xEnonCr Because it has frame
Not certainly correct, some pieces are detaching when crashing!
@@TakiTamAdam Of course bigger parts of the car will come off at some point after a big impact, nontheless the game lacks debris and fragmentation of the parts like real life
The body on frame cars, and cars with subframes can have parts detach from eachother. But the unibody cars' body doesn't came apart, or the bumper can't break into pieces. I guess it would require crazy ammounts of processing power to calculate this, so we can only hope that we'll have it later in the game :)
This game really is hyper realistic (omg tysm for 1.6k likes!)
@A person UvU the cost is better than car cost :D
i wish i could get it
These scenarios are set up to match perfectly with real life though, but yes the crashing physics in BeamNG is very realistic and makes for a fun sandbox game
Its all things in the game are calculated with the computer and make ot realistic 👍
@@MCHamii I know that.
*Beam NG sacrificed their graphics for this god tier Physics*
And with the update shown in yesterday's teaser even the graphics don't look that sacrificed after all...
Not anymore
not anymore, look at them now.
My pc cries every update
@@britneyspears2470 i agree with you :(
The physics engine on this thing is top notch. Somebody put a lot of love into BeamNG
Yeah beamng is really awesome... Anyway thanks for watching
В в реальной жизни сильные машины ломаются
Lmao same pfp
It’d be cool if they partnered with Rockstar on the next GTA
@@80PercentAshamedOfU gta doesnt need this type of physic
The only difference is that the cars might not be exactly the same and so weigh the same
Yeah every time i see a car crash in Beamng it feels like it's super lightweight compared to crashes IRL
@@kwalskee yeah, the metal doesn't shear so that is one thing it can't do
@@Zafor-ium It cant do YET
It could also be the speed
The 2 Beetles in the last test have about a 500 lbs difference, because 1 is an old Beetle, the other one is a "New" Beetle...the latter of which weighs substantially more despite it's similar dimensions.
I did not realize just how accurate the crashes are in BeamNG. Not an exact match, but all well within experimental variance.
It ain’t an exact match cause the cars aren’t exactly the same weight or type, otherwise I bet it would be identical
@@Mypenisissmallbut Would need to be the same weight, same weight distribution, same traction, have crumble zones of the same shape, ...
@@Kualinar same car basicly
still woudnt be identical
One of the things they should figure out is how to simulate metal tearing do we can tear cars in half by yeeting them at poles
GTA 6 Developers: “We would like to talk to you about a mutually beneficial business opportunity”
I don't think BeamNG physics would benefit GTA. Just look at GTA IV, cars deform heavily and start smoking after every small impact and most people hated it. That's why the devs made the physics way more arcady in GTA V.
Just imagine being on a long getaway mission and failing just because you hit the curbstone a bit too hard and broke your suspension and steering rack. I mean, they probably could do it as an optional hardcore mode, would be fun for a while for sure.
@@ShazenVideos everyone I know loves gta iv
Well its not good for the game. Like in gta 4 the driving is so hard you cant even do the stunts or drive rashly. Because of its semi realistic mechanics it kills the joy sometimes
@@swapnilabgul7027 simple. Options in menu, like Forza horizon 4.
Realistic damage: on or off
Vehicle performance affected by damage: on or off
Vehicle takes no damage: on or off.

@@Sweetness_01
Froza is purely a car game
Where gta has tons of things
And i am sure Rockstar is not going to implement those features because it will give them hard times to reconstruct the cutscenes , stunt, mission, and other side activities, also npc driving will also going to affected. So be quite
Beamng cars are more fragile in some aspects and tougher in some others, but all in all beamng is a top tier car game
ya, like its too easy to bend an axle and have a wonky wheel
@@alexlamping7122 nah it's correct, you just don't feel the forces coming through even a little crash. If u were in the car physically, you would understand why the wheel is bent 😂😂. Also they are just plain different cars than the real world cars, that's why they're not the same.
I wish beam would have particle effects when crashing. I think it would be pretty cool to see some chips of plastic and class sitting on the ground.
Yeah if they add it without compromising on performance it will be really cool
@@SmashInToGaming nah, no way, that will eat at least 20-40 fps, so if you have 25 fps, tge game would probably be unplayable, a setting that enables it would be perfect
@@darkraft100 me with my already overheating 2070

Just add more weight to BeamNG cars and there you go. No difference
Exacly what I was about to say
And that already be done as a different feature.
Maybe also take the right cars
Cause most irl cars in this video were (some) pretty poorly "reproduced" in beamng cause they are not the same car
For exemple he used a covet instead of the big familial car because there are no familial car like this in the game
So basicly, more vehicules
Ik its a sh*t ton of work so gotta wait
@@SuperJumper What do you mean wait 10 years
I think the right answer is your mum
Yeah i love the fact how the creator picked beaming drive footage from the net and performed it physically
Glad you liked it
Imagine if they added airbags going off and glass shattering from windows
It would save millions of dollars spent crashing cars
Ikr the only thing it’s missing is the airbags
Glass shattering is allready a thing
The windshield is not breaking because it is made out of plastic and glass
But i know that sometimes the windshield can stretch for 30 meters and still not break
@@SuperJumper Yeah the only thing that breaks the emersion of this game is when you get those weird crashes that stretch the car out, if only they could make it so that if metal stretches to a certain point it snaps. Also how a car can be completely totalled but still have perfect paint.
That will be great for the game, but not your computer and GPU

It's sad the lack of detatched body parts in beam
It would prob be very intensive on resources of a pc
@@dmkmn4612 not that much, the game already simulates most of them. Also they could be just visual like glass shattering and black things flying, but only big parts would detach.
Not enough shrapnel either. I want a bunch of debris laying on the road
They detach watched afew of their videos and cars loose parts including wheels
@@TheEmolano allready the case but they dissapear quite quickly
It’s incredible how accurate BeamNG is to real life. No wonder it takes so much cpu power to run
Yeah it simulates every part in real-time..
Takes a lot of cpu power? Hmm... I'm running on a Intel i5, with 2.7 ghz.
@@Doobency I’m running on an engineering sample Xeon 22 core at 2 ghz I think. No idea what the model number is or anything cause it’s 1 of I think 5 engineering sample chips. It tears up CPU intensive games though.
@@RJedmiston ya well I'm running a TI-84 plus CE top that
@@The_MEMEphis and im running it on a potato chips
BeamNG should be a base platform for any kind of car game.
The collision physics yes, but definitely not the tyre physics. Although tyre physics in beaming have improved, it is still behind most other sim titles.
@@askeladden450 ok... So this brings yet another, even more important idea.
Live for Speed has the best known tyre simulation. BeamNG has the best construction simulation. They should merge into one beefed up sim, none can match.
@@TransAmDrifter ah yes, two of my favorite games mashed together. LFS was so underrated. Probably the only sim that has good racing as well as drift physics.
I think the problem is highly related to the graphics engines. Even you increase the number of parts, you can't make it look realistic, as long as you simulate mostly deformation and contact points only.
What makes crashes realistic is the particle effects. i.e, the bits of glass, shards of metal, falling all over the place. If you added that to beamng's crashes. It'd run a lot worse but it would look a little more realistic.
@@jjpark98 making it a configurable option would help
they need to add leaking fluids and airbags
Yeah it would be really amazing if they add it in future updates
We have to give credit to beam ng developers cause they're doing an amazing job. Is not easy to simulate physics of all that objects considering how many parts a car is made of.
This is very, very well made im proud that you didn’t actually use many mods or if you didn’t use mods.
But great work!
Glad you liked it 😄
Man these are super realistic, but i noticed one thing. That cars in beamng seem lighter than the cars in real life
Most realistic crashes of all time are from BeamNG. I wish this crash system would be implemented in all racing games...
Yeah beamng physics are really awesome
Yes, imagine if sims had a model like this, they would self balance theyselfs since rammers would just take themselfs out.
But doing that would make most and PC users without gaming PCs not able to play the games with the physics of beamng. And just a wall tap could destroy a car at 70 mph
@@southafricancarlover8666 then they better get good at driving.
Ye man just get a 20k pc to play a racing game
Car - 'Crashes in the pole'
Also car - lemme give you a hug

Pretty good physics in this game. I'm rather impressed how good they are
For who questioning the differences, take a consider the estructures of a disponnibilized BNG cars in comparison a real life cars, and the wheels in rotation (that makes the car goes UP in a briks crash), that in the game is needed for move the same (c's it's a gameplay)
this "real life" game looks pretty good, has nice graphics and physics
And this is why the game is so good, the crash physics are incredible

Idk why but this video is so satisfying to watch. Surprisedly the game physic is so realistic.
Thanks for watching
Wow, I thought this program was over doing it, but looks like the real thing is actually worse. Way to go! Keep em comin👍
Nice! I think that if in BeamNG the things could break it's going to be almost identical!
Beamng.drive is the best game in the world because its beats are very realistic
Yeah beamng is best in physics
Not only crashes are realistic
Respect to all the crash dummies who lost their lives to perform these tests.
Wow I really love the look of this game, it looks so much like BeamNG Drive!
If your wondering why some crashes aren’t to much the same in movement like how the car twists, remember, he has to set the cars up and the others are on tracks
Thanks for watching
Ok
Really all it looks like is missing is the added particle effect from real life i.e smashing glass pieces of debris but great work recreating them!!!
Thank you
Real life can't be neat but it's the fact that the game is getting so CLOSE to real life that is amazing. You can see the the brick area how the car have more gravity compared to the cars in the game that seem to be much lighter. And when there are crashes for the lost part in game the car stays intact and there are not as many piece exploding off but I bet that would be a game developers nightmare to create anyway.
So realistic that they compare it to real life
OMG they made BeamNG crashes in real life!!!!??!?!!
Wow they made beam ng drive physics into a real thing 😍😍
One day there's gonna be a game more realistic than real life
Realistic Real Life Simulation Of Realism Simulator 2069 😉😉
Real life cars: Weak
BeamNG cars: Stronk
Shocking how realistic BeamNG is
The physics in this game is just🤯🤯🤯
It's amazing how real it looks
Thanks for watching
My god that game is realistic. the only unrealistic thing about this game is the air bags.
They are working on airbags mod
This truly shows how realistic beamng is
Thanks for using vanilla vehicles and good quality mods to demonstrate the abilities of BeamNG, rather than meshslaps like other channels do.
Thanks for watching
Real life is in desperate need of an update...
seeing this reminds me of the many reasons I love this game!
great video
best wishes
Thank you
Imagine if GTA Online had that veichles physics...
Sometimes watching these are funnier then watching my favorite gamer YT lol
Thanks for watching
Only thing Beam is missing is the particles and small pieces. Also ragdoll physics are a bit janky at times. But most definitely the most realistic car crash game ever made.
Wow! Beamng drive is so realistic!
The only thing that is missing is little prices of the car flying away.
and paint damage too
Yeah
Let’s get these virtual crash dummies some airbags please! Great vid.
This game looks great and looking forward to getting geforcs now to play this... Only criticism I see is the weight transfer sometimes isn't quite as much during the crash but still very impressive.
Good work on the video by the way. Thumbs up that.
Thanks man!!
Well, from this clip I just realised Mondeo is more safe than I expected xD
That last real life dummy completely missedthe airbag and ate the dashboard haha
Thanks for watching
Your video shows one more how insanely realistic this game is. I love it! ty!
Thanks for watching
1.5M viewssssssss🔥..... Congratulations❤️more power to youu💪proudddddd💯💯
Thank you so much❤
The things we need in beamngdrive :) - airbags :) - all pieces and knobs coming off and extra details In crashes - Then the Game would be to die for
Gamer drink [check]
Gaming computer opened [check]
BeamNG started [check]
Yep, you guessed it: it's crash site recreation time!
I can't imagine how much better it would be with fragments flying off vehicles during crash in BeamNG. I know that would drop the performance hard, simulating so many particle like stuff at once is not going to be easy on computational power.
Beam ng is the best racing arcade Simulator ever build. They need to add a few things in coming updates. Just as I read here in comments things like leaking fluids and Glas that Wil crack and fall apart. Another thing to make it more realistic is to evolve different physics to different materials. Like a metal panel would bend and a plastic bumper Wil crack and break while in a crash. Tires that will burst. They need to make this as an option in the graphics settings because this is going to need a hell of a computer. Still this is the best arcade game ever played
It's not arcade game it's simulator... And yes if they somehow managed to add the things you have said the game would be really awesome... Anyway thanks for watching
I hope that in the next updates they will fix some car parts glitching trough and upgrade the aleardy awesome dmg system
about the simulation on top... how tf can u run it so well? its super realistik
I'll love to see beamng physics into gta 5. Shits gonna go real down with that😂😂
Wasn't this game developed as Mercedes or BMWs crash test simulation to save money??
So what this game needs is particles and scratches. Not bad.
Really the only thing they need are improved graphics and better particle effects as shown in 2:03
Beamng is so realistic in the way of physics
The only thing I think the game is lacking IMO is the tires bursting during an accident and how it acts like Explosive Reactive Armor.
Man a next gen BeamNG 2 with high poly count would be amazing
thanks for the video, pretty intersting to see how the game is close to the reality
Glad you liked it
I played beaming drive and I am hundred percent sure it most realistic driving game I ever played
I think this is the one game where no one or vary few complain about how long it has been in early access.
35-45% reality
85% accuracy
Damn those are high scores id you ask me but still… all parts of cars must be made out of at least 10 times more parts.
I think higher reality. The graphics are damn good for what it's trying to run. Atleast we have global illumination and day cycles and active shadows
This is the good video to prove beamng is realistic and now the ones said beamng is not realistic can go cry now
Thanks for watching
The accuracy is just unbelievable
Thanks for watching
BeamNG needs airbags: Confirmed.
add fluids, airbags and a lot of particles and that's perfect
Only legends know what show the brick wall crash is from
“Cars should be built backwards,” said the Porsche lover
Combine the freedom of Grand Theft Auto, car crash physics of BeamNG, and tire/handling physics of Gran Turismo and you would have the perfect realistic open world game
Yeah, I'd definitely say the lower section of the video looks most realistic.
That upper "real life" needs more detail, and the colours are a bit dull too.
Thanks for watching
Still waiting for GTA to have those physics
I hope beamng dev add the airbag physics
Holy smash ups Batman!

I hope to see the day when games like GTA have this kind of destruction.
I feel like the online servers couldn't handle it XD while oppressors are going around blowing shit up
Imagine you're in a police chase, you crash into a light post, instead of it normally just falling, you get pwned by it and slam your head on the dash board, screwing your health, then the police come in and ram your car into oblivion, literally making it half a car, while you get squashed into 2 pieces.
PLOT TWIST: They are both BeamNG.
What’s that? There is a clear difference between the top and bottom? That’s because the top recording has ray-tracing
Thanks for watching
The cars in Beamng just need to feel heavier
Your discover that BeamNG is fuck realistic 6 years after release ?
You're awesome...
TBH I always thought crashing in this game is overdramatic but after seeing this video, it is very accurate IMO
Its becuase you watch videos where they really make the cars go fast. Like 100mph fast and we dont really realise how quick untill we compare to irl
Some real physics there my boi
Thanks for watching
before beamNG was a game for the public it was used by i think BMW to actually do this kinda stuff.
exept for shattering pieces, BeamNG is really killing it
LOL! Hey, that last test wasn't fair-one was an old Beetle and the other one a "New" Beetle! Interesting to note, both vehicles were considered to be some of the safest vehicles in their size class in each respective time period...although the 1998-2011 were crazy safe-the front seats were so far back from the windshield that your head won't connect with the A pillar so long as you wear a seat belt(and the airbags turn the inside into a bouncy castle, the shell in both versions acts like a roll cage. Of, the A pillars also made horrible blind spots at 11 & 2 o-clock...probably resulting in many pedestrian hits & vehicle collisions. German steel though....anyhow, despite it's small size, the "New" Beetle is safer than most older large cars which rip apart on impact(like the 1959 Chevy Impala)...they go squish like a bug, but their safety is practically 2nd only to Mercedes Benz & Volvos from that early 2000's era.
Beam.ng drive cost $1225 because You need a $1200 PC and the 25$ Game XD
Imagine gta6 with this 😳😳😳😳
I hope vehicles in GTA are like beamNG
Trust me if beamng crashes had impoved particles like dust, glass, smoke just spewing out of the car on impact it would look very realistic
Airbags too
