7/8 time signature is really ballsy, but they nailed it with this track.
Heck, every single aesthetic direction, including all the animation (and their overanimation), vastly different user interface, vivid and contrasting colors, that surprisingly just works for all the phases of the game, is absolutely ballsy. This game's existence is brave, and to see it shine this bright not just as "another hoyo game" but a completely fulfilling experience is just wonderful.

My zzz glazing going crazy this patch
I love like the melodic piano (I think that's what it is) to contrast the gritty and powerful guitar, such a beautiful composition. So far, every single type of genre that the ZZZ team has made music for, has been mind-blowing. I think this one takes the cake now, though. Incredible.
In my mind, the piano is Section 6. And the gritty guitar is Bringer, and their contrasting vibes greatly shows their roles as heroes and villains, going at eachother in a final battle.
I was praying we would get some full on prog metal in ZZZ and what an unexpected place for it. Would never have guessed this boss fight, but its so fucking good.
Best chapter they have released so far, oh my goodness, ITS PERFECT!
THE AVENGERS ASSEMBLE TYPE DEAL, THE MUSIC, THE BOSS DESIGN, THE MIYABI AND OTHERS LORE, IT'S ALL INCREDIBLE!

Zenless really matches my style way more than Genshin does! The artistic direction and music like electronic BGM, progressive metalcore!

I think this is the first time a game soundtrack has such blatent influence from 2010s progmetal/djent, and I love it.
- spacey synth/piano melody (common in space themed djent)
- odd time signatures (prog metal staple)
- syncopated riffs (i.e. Electric Sunshine)
- Thump (Animals as Leaders)
This plus ellen's theme taking direct inspiration from Polyphia, someone at Hoyo really likes modern metal lol.

True, but that feels more like a metalcore breakdown but this is something straight out of a prog djent album 😂.
The AAL influence aside, the insane amount of syncopation with odd time signature also reminds me of electric sunshine a lot.

such a good theme, goes well with an amazing fight. the boss's moves are very well telegraphed and very fun to dodge. shame the boss just falls over in like 10 seconds.

it’s called come alive, the stripped version plays in the cutscene/slideshow with everyone while the og/normal version plays when miyabi slices the hollow
