Kori, thank you so much, what a simple solution but what an ideal one (to check user permissions). Thank you thank you thank you! Searched all morning but couldn't find ANYTHING on Google/RUclips until your video. So thank you thank you thank you!!!!
Hi, Korey! I've been wondering why I am unable to see a specific plugin on the sidebar which I just installed. Can you help me out with this one, please? Thanks in advance! :)
GIRL, I usually don't comment on videos, but you made me change not only that but also my mood and I solved a problem thanks to you. You're gorgeous and I click subscribe! Cheers from Oz!
Hi Kory, I bought a hosting and a domain. But there is no plugin appeared on the left bar. And I found my WordPress is totally different with others on RUclips. Do you know why? Thank you so much!
Hi Kori, Very helpful video. Do you have a video on word press multiples web sites. I have my own server but only one wordpress. Can not seem to get another Wordpress to start a second site.
Using Multsite is a great feature but only if you need to share assets like plugins, theme, code. If you're just looking to have multiple databases and run individual websites I wouldn't consider it. I dont have any tuts on them but this is a great resource to provide some insight - www.mooveagency.com/wordpress/7-reasons-use-wordpress-multisite/#:~:text=Multisite%20allows%20the%20hosting%20account,to%20be%20shared%20by%20all.
Thanks for sharing this video! It helped me bringing one step further. I was also wondering why I cant see the settings or widgets as well. Could be that the same reason bc I am using an account which has limited acess? But even at the beginnig of creating the website I had the problem with the admin account that I could not see the settings. and as if that wasn't enough, my admin account disappeared today
Hello - it may be due to your admin access. However - are you running on a self-hosted version of WordPress or are you on the WordPress.com platform? That can make a difference as well.
Wow.. thankyou for this info. I can’t see plugs and I can’t see who the admin is on my site either. I followed the “ user” link and there’s no admin area. Now I’m wondering who is the admin lol. Can you tell me how I can find out? Thankyou. I’ve subscribed to your channel sines you talk sense .
Hello - you may be able to connect with your hosting company and ask them to research the access file. Additionally, you may be able to see who the "super admin" is in the Settings / General panel in your dashboard.
Hi Corey, my problem with the plugin on my wordpress dashboard is that when I click on it I get an "404 error message, please return to home page" and redirects them to the home page of my blog. The problem that I had a plugin call "pretty links" where I create different sub links that are now not working for example: loseweighwithgg (dot com)/quick that just one of meany links that not working how can I fix this. Thanks for your help in advance.
hi Corrie I am visiting my clients wordpress site and yes can't see the Plug ins button on the left. How can I determine if this is a .com or .org site
thanks Kori, i was struggling two days. i couldn't find Add new theme Button & Plugins Buttons. I found the solution thanks to you. i have installed .com desktop version > :D :D
This is a good video but there's another option - You have a BlueHost account and the plugins are loaded from the BlueHost dashboard. How do you install plugins there?
Ah - I didn't know that was an option. I don't use BlueHost as my hosting provider. So - thank you for sharing this in the thread. There could be others who need this.
Hey, I can't see the feedback area on WP. Using the "contact page" with "contact form". Is there a way to show the feedback in the Dashboard or to send it directly to my Mail account? Atm I don't have any access to it. Could you please help me? Thanks so much
Hi - My problem is that I CAN see all my Plug Ins but I dont know how to work with any of them. For exmple I have installed the Woocommerce plug in - I can see ot and it is activated, but cant figure out how to change its settings and work with it. Can u help please. I am a total beginner
Ok. My collegue that left the company made the website and did smth that i cannot install plugins, like you said.. I have his account, as an administrator, so can I resolve the problem? Thanks!
My hosting says they did not set any restrictions and that the person who installed my theme may have put some restrictions. My question is: Having in mind that i have admin role, all the acces to my host and website panel, is there a way I can check those restrictions and cancel them? Thank you very very much!
Not sure if you can help me. But I have the Blizlight theme. I'm not sure why my customization section has disappeared. The only option I have is to purchase the premium. Help please!
Hi Cory, i'm new to WP and can't see the plugin add new button on my admin page, also i can't see if my user profil is set as an administrator or not, PLZ help!!

I moved hosting from wordpress.com to bluehost, downloaded the files from wordpress.org, and installed in cPanel, but still have no option for plugins on sidebar???Help!!
First, I love your energy. The tips were super on point. Sad face. My site shows the plugins and number of plugins. But it goes to a 404 Not Found page generic kind when I click the plugins or installed plugins. So somehow WP has these set to a 404 how do I set them to the right location?
+WebTegrity Yes. WP 4.5.2. Great suggestion about switching themes. I did not try that before. I can add plugins. I just can't see the plugin area. Directs to 404.
I also cannot see any Pluggins button, like Add New, to click on when I hover over it in the Wordpress Dashboard. I went to Users and Profile, and in Profile there is no area where I can click to set myself as the Administrator. I have had my web site for a full year from January 2018 to January 2019 with Bluehost hosting. During that year there was nothing wrong with Pluggins on my website's Dashboard and I used to add Pluggins without problems. I renewed my Bluehost hosting for my website at the beginning of this year in January and that is when I started to have the problem of a non-functioning Pluggins on the Dashboard. I tried everything you suggests here, but the Pluggins button is still not functioning as it is supposed to. Please advise.
Sorry this is happening. How frustrating! Sounds like you do not have admin access. You may want to contact BlueHost to see if they can change your user role to give you full permissions.
@KoriAshton no I didn't I was hired to make some modifications on it... everything else have been completed its only the logo and menu which is left and that can only be done if I get these options
Hey I just had this mistake and I dont need to save the content of my site just want to switch over domain name to wordpress.org, how can I do that with out paying money?

I have .com premium you can only get Plugins if you pay an extra £200 per annum for Business. I am stuck in this now because I only paid for it a few weeks ago - £85 ish Premium.com do give you a free version of the buy a coffee tab but you have to use a different bank to Pay Pal. Can you transfer from .com to .org without loosing your subscription fee?
Dear Kori! I would like to insert my publication in thumbnail style like Issuu.com display multiple publiation on the page. how can i do that? please help?
No, what I deal with is after the plugin is installed and activated, where is the place on the dashboard to interface with it? What good is an installed plugin that I can't get the shortcode, etc.? It's good for nothing.
What plugin are you trying to access? Typically visiting their documentation will help with shortcodes. Or view the All Plugins screen in your dashboard. Under the plugin you've just install you should see a "settings" button.
I am signed in as Admin on wordpress.org and i cannot find the PLUGIN button on the menu at all, my site is hosted on Azure Wordpress VM by the network administrator. Moreover i have build the whole website on a local server MAMP and now i wanna move it with all plugins and other things, is there any plugin that transfer the whole things without extra effort. Would be really appreciated if you can help.
Kori, I still have an issue with seeing or adding plugins. I changed my theme and I also checked for those 3 things you explained and there is still no change. Please help me!
Onlyhave this in my dashboard and no such thing as Role option within the profile menu. And this is wordpress.org as well. Please help. Any advice would be appreciated greatly. Thanks very much.
Is there anyway I can email or message you a screenshot of my wordpress to show what I mean? I can't see a way here in RUclips or maybe I am just not seeing it. Sorry I struggle with everything technology which is why I desperately need your help please.
Hi Kori, I am stuck at trying to use the wordpress app but it is taking forever to load when I am at the app. First of all, it was fine when I was using wordpress.com and the the problem started when I started paying for host. Upon contacting the app developer, they pointed out that I must uninstall and reinstall jetpack from my old wordpress.com website. Problem is, how do I go to jetpack from wordpress.com when I can't see the plugins to begin with? Please help.
hi. i can see plugins and when i click on plugins, woocommerce helper is there, but it is not displaying on the left hand side bar. the products are also not there anymore. in the frontpage settings, when i click on products then it says woocommerce needs to be installed, but it is installed and whenever i try to re-install, it fails because it says it is already installed. can you please assist because all my products is now gone!

Hi Corey we just moved our website to a godaddy vps server and we re not able to use our wp administration panel....doesn’t show us woo commerce options
Respected Kori! I am rally thankful for your always help. I need to know about one plugin but I cant explain with text, how can i show you a image for that pluging / gigats, I need name of the plugin and I am sure you knew that. its kind of Events calender plugin. my client need exactly that plugin. please help.
Have you made a video about disappearing dashboard icons. I installed the 'TablePress' plugin and it was there and I did experiment with it. And made one table which I did insert into a page. But, then the next day the 'TablePress' dashboard Icon was gone. But, my table that I made is still on my page. If I deactivate the plugin then of course my table goes away. But, when I re-active it I can see and use the table that I made. I do have the Wordpress.org version and I have installed about 6 other plugins with TablePress being the last one. My role setting is Admin. Also, I'm running this as a localhost on my computer using WAMP Server version 3.0.6. I did it this way because I teaching myself how to use WordPress. I've tried every thing I can think of to get that icon back. I even uninstalled the plugin and then re-installed it. But, still no icon. Thanks. :)
Nice video, cool informations you passed. But I found out that I was added as 'admin' in a multisite WordPress so I couldn't see the Plugins. Asked for the 'network admin' to enable Plugins in 'Network Configurations' but looks like that just allows me to see the Plugins, still not able to install new plugins.
Hello ~ I am logged in.. yet I cannot see the same tabs you have displayed on your screen. Namely Plugins and Appearance. Please help. I wish to change the default fonts on my site ...
Hi and thank you. I can log in, and see all the tabs, except appearance/plugins. How do I see and or change this user role? We are on a self hosted site www.synthfarm.in
Hi Kori! "Plugins" is still on the Dashboard; however, the add, new, and editor options are gone. The only option listed is "SiteOrigin Widgets." I have warnings for wp-includes: wp-db.php [mysqli_query()] and pluggable.php [header information] and wp-admin post.php [header information]. I can see all the plugins in the cPanel, but cannot access from the WordPress dashboard. Hopefully, this makes sense to you! Any idea how I can resolve this problem?
Sounds like a plugin or update caused an error. Can you connect with your hosting company to see if they can revert or rollback your website & database?
Hi Kori. Thanks for this video. My issue is that when I click "installed plugins" It goes to "page doesn't exist." Also, I am able to install a plugin, but can't activate the plugin 'cos then is goes to "page does not exist" again. So basically, when I go to plugins, the only thing working is if I click "add new" plugin.
I have this page, I can see that I downloaded a certain plugin. But I can't see this plugin on the menu, and therefore cannot use it. what should I do?
Plugins option is showing but whenever I click on that It shows the message upgrade your plan but i want to access that free plugins how can I do that what problem is occurring can you help me to resolve that?
if I have started a wordpress.com blog can we flip it to wordpress.org? I have recently started a blog and it's getting over 500 views a day since starting a week ago so I don't want to close it and start again :-( but I have no plugin as I want to install google adsense to monotize the blog
Hi Kori, I too cant see plugins however i installed some by directly downloading on local machine and uploaded zip file and activated. However it doesn't function with all the option and i cant see them in the Plugin list neither. M using Wordpress 3.0.1 Please help, Thanks in advance..!
Please guide me in several ways 1. I cannot see user option I can only see the profile option in my dashboard. 2. I cannot see the appearance option in the dashboard I was given access by the client. Need help!
Hi I can see pluggins on the left navigation, i can install plugins...but the installed plugins don't appear on the left navigation. I cannot see the installed pluggins button as well
You may want to check with your hosting company to be sure the site is safe and secure. Sounds like something may be getting blocked. You can also check with the plugin's documentation to see where you go in the dashboard to access its settings.
It seems I have client admin access and not full admin access and the company which developed the site mentions that they can't give full admin access as they don't want to share some proprietory seo tech....@@KoriAshton
These should help you. These are shortcodes that you can copy and paste into your page / post and the calendar will appear support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/4411811728658-All-Shortcodes
I don't know it's on wordpress.com or WordPress.org. So what I did I check on google to find the solution for this. I found some solution.1) www.domain.com/wp-admin and hover the WordPress logo but this didn't help becaues it's showing my domain name. 2) The second solution is I logged in the dashboard and top left side I found the WordPress logo and I hover over it and it says wordpress.org and WordPress version is 4.8.5. So my site is on wordpress.org
It could be several different things. Did you update anything recently? Is something out of date? Have you tried to view it on a different browser? It could be a cache issue. Is your theme up to date? You may want to reach out to your hosting provider or the theme developer for help on your specific website.
My server / host / person I'm paying £200 a year plus an up front cost of well over £1k to host my site has disabled plug ins and is asking for £800 for an ecomerce section. I have spent the past 3 months completely designing the website myself (took me about 2 days to learn wordpress... as soon as we paid the guy, he asked for more money to make further updates) and therefore I'm more than capable of doing this myself. Can someone please tell me how to get the plug in menu back and likewise if its possible to switch hosts. Thanks.
I have a website that was built by web development firm. Now I want to add new language to my website. so that I need to access plugin and appearance menu. That web development firm gives one username and password for uploading photos and adding some post. But I can't access the plugin menu. What I want to do for adding new language to my site.(i already create new pages in new language)
help me guys i have trying to work on this school management website but when i install wpschoolpress plugins. in the dashboard i dont see any menu everything in menu section becomes idle. what should i do guys
Thanks; that's the problems I'm having with Plugins. I called wpjelly.com and they added it, then took it away. I stuck with getting my website over to Hostgator, even after I paid for it. Yikes. Any suggestions other than the Plugins they keep mentioning to get this task completed?
If you had access to install it - you should have access to see it. Sometimes the developer puts the plugin access inside a major category - like inside Tools, or inside Appearance. Did you take a look on their documentation?

Did you follow the plugin installation instructions? Sometimes they put the settings in different locations.
im using a free account in WP. is that why i cant see the plugins???

Hi Corey, i can log in to wordpress but i cannot see my dash board instead i see the site and hello with a log out option and daz all nothing to do no setings ,plugins view etc
Sounds like someone who developed your theme did not allow you access. Do you know what your role is? Are you an admin?
I downgraded from WordPress 5.0 to get Divi installed. Installed successfully. But, Divi does on appear in left side bar to access plugin. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks.

Yikes! Sounds like something is broken in the theme or database. Are you running the most recent versions of both?
@@KoriAshton OMG...What can I do? I am running the most recent versions yes.
@@mizzbone4860 My suggestion is to call your hosting provider and work with their support team for the fix.

@@KoriAshton Yes, m just practicing on my local host

Hi I can see pluggins on the left navigation, i can install plugins...but the installed plugins don't appear on the left navigation. I cannot see the installed pluggins button as well
You may want to check with your hosting company to be sure the site is safe and secure. Sounds like something may be getting blocked. You can also check with the plugin's documentation to see where you go in the dashboard to access its settings.
It seems I have client admin access and not full admin access and the company which developed the site mentions that they can't give full admin access as they don't want to share some proprietory seo tech....@@KoriAshton
OK but how do I fix it? I bought WordPress.com so.. do I call them up and ask to change it to .org?
I added the Bookly plugin to my website. However, i can't figure out how to add this to the Pages Add title section as a tab. Please help
These should help you. These are shortcodes that you can copy and paste into your page / post and the calendar will appear support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/4411811728658-All-Shortcodes
@@KoriAshton Thank you, I will look into your suggestions.

My role as administrator but still plugin option is not displaying on the dashboard. Any help?
I don't know it's on wordpress.com or WordPress.org. So what I did I check on google to find the solution for this. I found some solution.1) www.domain.com/wp-admin and hover the WordPress logo but this didn't help becaues it's showing my domain name. 2) The second solution is I logged in the dashboard and top left side I found the WordPress logo and I hover over it and it says wordpress.org and WordPress version is 4.8.5.
So my site is on wordpress.org
Hi, I am in the admin page :my site: /wp-admin but cannot add plugins ?

My menu bar on home page suddenly is missing . How can I restore it to be visible. Help please !

Thanks.

Can you connect with your hosting company to restore your site?
Mam currently I applied ssl
But can't open my website on local on my PC why? Mam pls explain?
You may want to reach out to your hosting company or the folks you purchased the SSL from. That should in no way affect a local server though.
Hi, I have a wordpress.org through Heroku and cannot Add new themes nor Plugins ?
Do you have admin permissions?
Thanks; that's the problems I'm having with Plugins. I called wpjelly.com and they added it, then took it away. I stuck with getting my website over to Hostgator, even after I paid for it. Yikes. Any suggestions other than the Plugins they keep mentioning to get this task completed?
Thank you for leaving a comment. Looks like we missed it in the threads. If we can ever help in the future - please reach out.
What if you have an installed and activated plugin that is not visible to access on Dashboard.
If you had access to install it - you should have access to see it. Sometimes the developer puts the plugin access inside a major category - like inside Tools, or inside Appearance. Did you take a look on their documentation?
Beautiful work janeman :)
Very kind :)
