+Adam Celadin Yeah, they are! And from this video you can see why I agree that females are way easier to teach knife throwing than males. :) Thanks, Adam!
I'm so immature I literally laugh every time a knife ricochets off the target XD don't get me started on your dads unique throwing style lmao this video was so fun to watch!
Excellent Xolette. I love it. I wish my parents and wife took an interest in throwing. I have thrown once or twice with my wife and it's fun. I have had a competition with my dad and that was fun too.
+FastActionBlades Yeah, my husband has only thrown with me when I told him he had to, like for those challenges. :) Some of us get addicted to that "thunk" sound. My mom is definitely one of us. I'd build her a target if she had the space for it!
Xolette Awesome. Glad to hear your mom actually enjoys it. Your dad looked like he could care less. Your mom was excited about those sticks which was so awesome to see. I thought your husband was into it a little more but I guess not. Definitely do some videos on your moms progress if she continues to throw. That would be great.
I was cracking up when Mom said "Oh puta!" @ 4:08 I have no doubt your dad knows how to handle a knife, I never met a Filipino from the old country who didn't.
PERFECT!, I loved it so bad! You really nailed us this time Xolette, we totally love your parents they are awesome and such badasses at throwing, especially your mom, to be honest i wouldn't of taught her how to throw, imagine if she gets angry with you and Jon and then chases you all over the house with a throwing knife, evidence of this is when she says "I'm better than you Jon"! Even though that would be hilarious it's scary XD Thank you for presenting your parents to us all, they're so lovely, wouldn't mind to see them again and thanks for sharing another video!
+Lian Akamori Aw, thanks, Lian! Though, if my Mom tried to throw a knife at me, I'd catch it and say, "Try again." Haha. :P Always a pleasure to read your comments. And you even know how to spell my husband's name correctly!! :D
Colette you look like your dad. That was a kick ass video you always seem to have so much fun with your parents, but then again you always seem happy when you're throwing. On another note I would hate to see you upset, you're deadly.
Wow! It's been years since I looked up knife throwing videos. I'm happy that you still make videos. I actually learned how to do a no spin throw from your video years ago :D. I wish I could do this with my parents. they get too nervous with blades lol
Really? You got to show them my mom throwing! Thanks for watching. It's hard right now to practice with my baby, but I'll be practicing a lot when she's old enough (because she's definitely going to be joining me!)
hey xolette. I enjoy your videos. I'm learning more about knife throwing and thought I'd pass along a fun challenge. it took me a few weeks, but I cut a matchstick in half (it was vertical) from 10ft away. I look forward to seeing more videos : )
That is awesome, It reminds me of my parental units.... I have been cracking a bull whip with my 78 year young Mother and riding a unicycle on my Dad's 80thr in Danger Alley.....
Hey, Nice 👍 throwing tips for beginners! Hey, your Mom & Dad are still Pup’s or young parents especially as they are throwing knifes! Hey Colette, sounds like you need to ask Dad some more questions because everyday is a gift! You are a patient teacher and it’s Kool your Mom and Dad are willing to try a new skill but sounds like Dad has some skills’ So thanks 🙏 again Colette, you got skills! CC
Xolette... take some candle wax and rub the field point threads of your arrows in the wax (or use string wax). This will act like a sort of "Loc-Tite" and keep your field points from loosening (I could hear it in the video...you can hear a difference in the impact sound). If the nocks are plastic inserts... nothing you can do about that (you can try the wax on them too, but it may or may not work/help). If you permanently glue the nock in the arrow and it happens to break it then it will be a b%*^! to replace. GREAT grouping throws from your MA!!!!!
+Paul Lecouteur That's a great tip! Thanks, Paul! Some of the field points came loose so I had to retighten them... I'll have to try the string wax on the threads!
They both Very funny you have awesome family and you have an awesome channel you're the one that got me interested in throwing and to see so many awesome people in the throwing famz thank you very much 😀 oh bye the way congrats on your wonderful family and life all the best for your future 😀
This was so good thank you! I want to start but I don't know what an appropriate target would be, for your knife throwing what is the targets called?xxx
Maddie Symonds Soft Woods, like pine. You can make a flat board knife throwing target or an end grain target, or just get a log round. (I have videos of how to make the first 2 targets on my channel.) You can also tape up layers of cardboard for a quick target, but that won't last long...and if throwing spikes, you can use an archery target. Good luck!
+Oh my Josh Haha! Yeah, I love Oliver Queen but wanted to get into archery after watching The Hunger Games (plus I spent a week on it in middle school).
omg, a military half spin, I was wondering where my dad got the throw from since he has served, I was wondering what it was called, it makes SO much sense now knowing the name because the throw was the one he taught me, it makes sense that that's the throw he would know. also the throw is better up close, you just have to put a bit more spin into it, also, I only know half spins, whats a good throw for learning how to do a full spin?
Hello +Xolette I was wondering if you could make a review on the flying steel talisman formerly known as the everyman. as I am a begginer knife thrower I am looking for a cheap but good knife the only problem is I could not find any reviews of the knife on youtube so I think it would be awesome if you could make a review of it. it would make my day
Hi Xolette, I was wondering if you could do a review on the mini bo kri throwers I have a set but I can not throw them well. p.s. I love your videos!!!!!
could you do a tip durability test on these? Id also like some new steels like cpm154 or s35vn. ive seen some cool aus6 ones too that im hesitant to buy though.
Yea it does! I just did a bit of reading up on what that was lol. Although to be fair, if a bunch of kids where doing archery and knife throwing in the back yard, I'm sure there would be even more deaths lol. Not for kids! or silly people..

Xolette - Awesome video, I agree that there should be some balance.. it's understandable that parents will be protective, but too much of that is harmful in ways.. which isn't an excuse for bad parenting! lol. Like kicking your kid's ass, or making them do hard labour and have no social life, then when they complain, the parents are like "OHH kids these days are too soft!". There's also a number of ways to bring out a potential mental illness in a kid with some of this stuff. With the knives, they were taught how to use them and how to view them.. so that's good, if they just went and played with knives, they would get a lot more injuries for sure lol. Hey xolette, I have been trying to find a competition to go to and I can't find any. Are there any websites you know of that show locations of competitions?
Is your family from the Philippines, if yes, my family from there to, I got throwing knives to. Can you review the shinobi never miss three set throwing knives
+eric asencio Don't have that set. Check my video, "Best Beginner Throwing Knives" and read the description. It gives an answer to your type of question. And yes, my family's from the Philippines!
Hi xolette I'm trying to build a end grain target but j don't know what kind of 2x4s to use for the target I would really like to know what wood you used plz thx.
Lol it made me cringe every time an arrow hit the fence XD. Thank goodness for how strong carbon arrows often are. Also definitely teach your mom the mongolian thumb draw for next time she shoots your bow (easier to shoot an opposite hand bow that way). Your parents are just so darn adorable!
Hey Xolette I think this may have crossed your mind before but can you try throwing a butterfly knife? I haven't done some really deep research but I saw you comment on a butterfly knife throwing video.
Hello Xollete! A challenge from your fans and supporters here from the Philippines, can you hit 2 to 3 targets at once? Like for example, 3-knives, 3-targets, in 1-throw. We hope that you could give it a chance to try it out and upload it here. God bless and more power to you! You're a Filipino pride. :D
+Warlo Jesser Belandres Thanks for the request! I am busy though... after my Challenge from Hell video, I need to take a break from challenges and focus on editing the videos I already filmed, doing a few throwing knife reviews, not to mention, I moved recently, so my backyard and target are not ready for throwing. Jason has done your challenge though, and you can check it out here! ruclips.net/video/3Yryim5jlYU/видео.html
Wow, that sounds a lot of things to do there! We wish that we could give you a hand over there :) hehe Jason did an excellent accuracy on this video. Something like, one target from the 10 o'clock location, another from the 12 o'clock, and another one from the 2 o'clock with just one throw (2-3 knives). Do you think that you can do something like that for us? Sounds kinda' difficult but we believe that you could do it :) Hope to see this challenge from you soon ^_^
Oh my god. Your moms a natural.
I know! She picked it up quick!
They are aweeeesome !!! Great video Colette :)
+Adam Celadin Yeah, they are! And from this video you can see why I agree that females are way easier to teach knife throwing than males. :) Thanks, Adam!
What if your mom was a badass ninja back in her 20s and is just a bit rusty
Your dad is a badass! :D

+Tavish Peters Thank you!
Awesome channel! Makes me want to start throwing now. Ever mess around with butterfly (balisong) knives?
Xolette... take some candle wax and rub the field point threads of your arrows in the wax (or use string wax). This will act like a sort of "Loc-Tite" and keep your field points from loosening (I could hear it in the video...you can hear a difference in the impact sound).

+Christian Turner Rotational throwing. Check out my video, "How to Throw like Clove".
I would love to take knife throwing lessons from you
Hahaha I love how much they had fun with it.
Hello +Xolette I was wondering if you could make a review on the flying steel talisman formerly known as the everyman. as I am a begginer knife thrower I am looking for a cheap but good knife the only problem is I could not find any reviews of the knife on youtube so I think it would be awesome if you could make a review of it. it would make my day
Hi Xolette, I was wondering if you could do a review on the mini bo kri throwers I have a set but I can not throw them well. p.s. I love your videos!!!!!
that was great fun!!....thanks for the smile...tell your parents they are awesome!!...:O)
Could you do a video on how to increase no spin throwing like how much force needs to be put into it for farther targets like a tutorial
Your dad already knew how to use a bow, he used to hunt tarsiers back in the day!
Wow your mom is a amazing at throwing knives

could you do a tip durability test on these? Id also like some new steels like cpm154 or s35vn. ive seen some cool aus6 ones too that im hesitant to buy though.
Beats lawn darts.
Yea it does! I just did a bit of reading up on what that was lol.
Although to be fair, if a bunch of kids where doing archery and knife throwing in the back yard, I'm sure there would be even more deaths lol. Not for kids! or silly people..
Siberius Wolf i started archery when i was 5
Bl4ckknigh7 Gaming - I mean more like.. unsupervised get the kids together and lets play.. kind of thing. Or still supervised, but no proper safety pecautions in place. That's how you get dead kids, dammit lol. At least more than there would otherwise be.
I read your comment and saw this in the sidebar, interestingly: ruclips.net/video/j_2NIhXrjIQ/видео.html I believe kids should be supervised in such activities, but I think completely avoiding or being overly protective can be harmful in a different way. Just my opinion. :)
I think in most places with schooling and caring, they want to avoid law suits.. like the kid on the tree thing, could easily slip or the branch break and land on the spikey trunk and get a spike through his neck.. not sure what would happen then lol. But it essentially never happens anyway. I used to climb trees really high, and do speed climbing at the park where there's big cotton trees all woven together. Could of easily fallen but I didn't.
But yea a healthy balance is good.. (subjective where that balance is, but as long as they get out and get dirty and hurt themselves, explore and learn). Just make sure they don't get a lawn dart through their head.
This is amazing 👌🏻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
+Blake Duris Thanks, Blake!

You got some badass parents there.
What kind of bow are you using for this video? Looks user friendly
+gamerdude535 I'm happy none of them broke as well! :) I'll have to look up that thumb draw! Thanks!!
Your parents seem so cool
+_TDM_ They definitely are! :)
hey Xolette
im looking to buy some good throwing spikes on a budget. Any suggestions?
Do the knife throw from the end of the last campaign mission from cod mw2 where soap throws the knife at Shepard
Your parents are so cute... your moms delight is uplifting... you can teach old dawgs! (You know what I mean) LOL!
Thanks, Wes!
Hey Xolette I think this may have crossed your mind before but can you try throwing a butterfly knife? I haven't done some really deep research but I saw you comment on a butterfly knife throwing video.
+Derek Ye I haven't, but Karen Barraza has! Look her up on RUclips!
Will you ever throw butterfly knives?
Hello Xollete! A challenge from your fans and supporters here from the Philippines, can you hit 2 to 3 targets at once? Like for example, 3-knives, 3-targets, in 1-throw. We hope that you could give it a chance to try it out and upload it here. God bless and more power to you! You're a Filipino pride. :D

Wow, that sounds a lot of things to do there!
We wish that we could give you a hand over there :) hehe
Jason did an excellent accuracy on this video. However, Jason did hit the 2 targets in one location but what we meant is to hit 3 or 2 targets from different locations.
Knife throwing runs in te family!
