It's crazy to think that there was a Borderlands game where you didn't need to hit for hundreds of thousands to millions of damage to kill anything.
BL1 the best imo. You literally don't need big numbers in a gear based game. All it does is make things harder to balance.
Lol yeah I started playing the Franchise the day the Second game was released, year later tried the origin. Was shook how low the weapon damage always was, even at high levels. Kinda what made Borderlands 2 more likable. Borderlands 3 getting alil crazy for sure. Wonderlands is probably going to be more crazy with damage.
@@Anthony13USA facts tho, wish I started off with with first one, then playing the 2nd would been like Round Two, higher lv enemies, higher damage. Kinda like Normal mode, to True Vault Hunter Mode. Then Ultimate Vault hunter mode. That's kinda how I see it lol.
I've always been wondering about the high-end stat differences between BL1 and BL2. What causes BL2 to go in stupidly high numbers? I much prefer BL1 for this matter because "1624" is more readable and process-able than "293285"

God this game was such a good intro for the series.
Everything in it felt purposeful, even if the balance could be janky. Such a great feeling of a slow climb to power, from desperation to conquering your enemies. This was thematic, as well as mechanics based, which is part of why I love the story of bl1.
In every other borderlands game, you're lauded as some badass hero from the beginning. In bl1 you earn that shit, lol
I feel the balance is actually the best in the series since tps characters can have some broken interactions and builds lol but yeah bl1 is by far the most balanced game
@@reecio1600 bl1 is not balanced what? Get a anarchy smg with X4 bullets and it’ll shred until level 69 esp if you get a comm that has 32% smg damage it’s so op and that’s with no skills attached to if

@@lilpain1997 the thing is is that I wasn’t saying disregard every op weapon I’m saying in the general sense the game is more balanced than the rest in general cause 2 and 3 both have issues with balance in their own ways and tps is the closest I’d say to being the most balanced but I think for me bl1 is more so

I remember farming craw for hundreds of times and then telling my friend I did so much and havent dropped one. I went to his house to play with my xbox 360 and first run I drop the corrosive pearl.
I searched up “farming Ajax ogre” glad to see there is still recent bl1 content. Can always count on jolts.

I was watching you stream this and got inspired to play BL1, and after countless hours I just got my first Pearlescent.
I would love to see a BL1 run with the unpoular weapon types. Thumpers, carnages, pounders, burst firing machine pistols. I loved to have those in BL1, even if they were outmached by other weapons it was good to have variety.
The full-auto machine pistols were my absolute favourite weapons. BL1 had a sick gun library
Actually if you find a burst fire machine pistol made by Hyperion, then you basically win since it’s a pin point accurate gun
It's crazy seeing a character level 69 with a sub 2000 capacity shield and half that for health. When in BL2 OP 10 with a shield over 1 million capacity shield and health some few 100 thousand. Crazy
Yup. One of the big flaws of bl2 imo. The numbers were asinine. Just made grinding for new gear every few levels mandatory, and stats harder to accurately read and gaige. Still my favorite of the series, but the loot system in bl1 overall was the best, even if it was less flashy
@@skinnysnorlax1876 grinding new loot every few levels is still mandatory in bl1 due to the heavier damage reduction that enemies gain when being shot by underleveled guns. you cant even use level 10 weapons against a level 15 enemy and do any significant damage in bl1. you can in bl2, though, so youre simply incorrect
@@spimbles bruh, I was just using a lvl four revolver on a lvl 20 Mordecai and one shotting on level enemies eith it. What crack are you on?

Rose would be the most common, at least for me, I've found 3 or 4 of them, compared to the only 1 Omega and Ironclad I've found. Pearls in general, by far the Bessie and Undertaker, I've found at least 10 of each
Honestly I’ve never really tried to farm them but one day I found Tsunami, Undertaker, and Nemesis all in like 4 runs of armory never had a shield though

The only one I’m missing is a nemesis now, I finally got my tsunami in an armoury run yesterday but messed it up so I have to grenade jump back in everytime

The luckiest run I’ve gotten was 3 back to back ogre drops from craw. All 12.5 fire rate too

Ah, Borderlands 1 loot montage... This was how I got into Joltz in the first place all those years ago.
I haven't played this game in 5 years and I was playing with random people Mordecai was my main and this one person gave me a shield that can make you invincible every enemy that you would face won't even hurt you it was sooo OP.
Sad thing is most people, including myself, has one and maybe a 1 shot kill gun... (I don't use my shield though, I just have it in storage)
Joltz can we get a bl1 play through again sometime in the future? (Or sooner because I’m not the only one who loves watching you play it)

I miss being able to take an enemies weapons. I loved struggling to take someone down because I wanted what they were shooting me with.
I think the Equalizer is the BL1 equivalant of the gub in BL1 for Joltz :P
Gunfighter/Gunslinger Mordecai is my favorite Borderlands 1 build. Maybe this is a sign I should get back in the game. Borderlands 1 was my favorite tbh

I think the ironclad shield is what I used to gain infinite item space. You can continue to sell it and it won’t leave so u can have infinite inventory and cash

I've played for many years but didn't know craw maggots could dupe grenades. Also you Ajax Ogre is bad body but you got the best mag which is really rare.

Also how on earth did you get a pearl and an Ajax Ogre on the same day? That's an insane amount of luck. I think I've only seen 3 or 4 pearls in my entire BL1 playtime and only once have I been graced with an Ajax Ogre. This is what made this game spectacular, the rarity of these items was insane. I don't mind the legendaries being quite common late game, but Borderlands games need something special to acquire after you're done hunting legendaries.

you can super grenade jump off a lot of enemies! lancemen and their scorpio turrets make it work. I'm not fully sure if you can do it off of every enemy in the game though. I do know that it works best on enemies standing still/ enemies that have a hitbox on the ground that isn't moving
You know, it would actually be pretty cool to see some Borderlands mods of playable characters in other games. I.E. playing as BL1 characters in BL2

I have been farming the clap trap DLC map for good items. Sometimes, I'll get great high stats weapons that are good from Lv13 to Lv23 or higher.

Yeah, the Undertakers are the worst. I got like 10 of those suckers before finally getting the Nemesis i wanted.

On Roland i both have a Unforgive and Anaconda Mashers, but the Anaconda is better because of the fire rate, so much DPS
