I noticed you said Lilith is the fastest character in the enhanced version borderlands I'm not sure if you are aware of this but there is a speed glitch on brick in the enhanced version by cancelling the action skill with the echo or by getting in a car. Does this help ?
@@robi4760 is there now? I need to check that out. Lilith is still the fastest character plus she gets that 20% speed boost for killing and then she can phase walk everywhere.

Yeah, it's a lot shorter, but the runner literally sets the controller down and waits during this time..... and that's the entire run. Do that, then fight the final boss
Technically wrong. The strategy involves using a metal bounce crate to get the required number of jumps, then carefully using crouches to avoid resetting Crash's airborn state and bouncing on a line of nearby respawning enemies over and over, each one rewarding another item you need. Once you have bounced on enough enemies to have all the crystals you need, you finish the level and then it's a boss rush to the end of the game. Overall though, you got the basic concept of the strat right.
That teleporting trick is just like the one I found in Borderlands 2 yesterday without even knowing you could do that. Basically after getting the power core from the psycho that stole it fron Reiss and you jump into the water to teleport to the latest checkpoint. I did realize this but I past by the checkpoint by the second place that Savage Lee could spawn at so upon not going close to it after being told by Roland, I just ignored it and didn't go close to it enough for it to register as a checkpoint. It actually blew my mind that I did not even realize you could do this and obviously its well known but all these years I didn't even think of it being possible lol.
yeah, I saw that death warp in Admiral Bahroo stream a long, long time ago and have used it ever since, as in any playthrough it's a long backtrack.....
There is another glitch that normally used health kits but I believe it it a lot harder to do in the Enhanced and never really had a use in speed running. It was to just dump a load of health kits on the floor stacked on each other and eventually with enough the areas collision will derp out and you'll fall straight through. Same can be done in BL2. People used health kids because they were cheap and very easy to get hold of a lot of them. I remember a lot of people using it to get a max level Rider sniper in the BL1 hunt a couple years ago.

To be honest, as someone who bought the Enhanced Edition on the Switch (I think it is the Enhanced Edition at least) I don't really notice any framerate drops or any major glitches
I played 10 hours of blands enhanced around a month ago. It ran flawless with no issues at 1440p on a gtx 970. So I'm thinking that it's been patched into shape. Or I'm just somehow lucky? Which can't be true because my life is horrible.

Inside New Haven, there is a secret building that has a functioning door that leads down to a few psycho's and a lot box that gives a gearbox sniper that has really good crit damage.
I’ve just realized I think you can do this on console! The thing where your gun disappears if you try to force a locked gun to leave your inventory can happen if you hold pick up with a full inventory. I’m going to try to see if that merges the weapons
If I remember correctly, you could also use those medkits to glitch through the floor in Knoxx's dlc, to have an unlimited time to loot his entire armory.
11:00 I found a rock jump but it's on the other side of that bridge. Now it's useless with the floaty jump on the car. Basically the pile of rocks under/by Kobb's brother can be jumped on and then you can grenade jump up to the other side into the city.
Bgm got an additional 16K xp from doing Merchant of Death. He vended X amount and got 6K xp. Did a mission, vended X amount, and got 10K xp. Then did mission, came back, vended and got the 20K xp. Then he continued on with the run. Just a casual observation.
The return. Love you bud. If you’re going to make videos, please don’t make ones that you think will be stressful on your hands. We love all your content, so don’t break yourself coming back before you’re ready.
You CAN skip cutscenes in bl1 classic, you just have to access the fast travel, and travel away to another location the very moment you spawn in, because there's a brief moment after spawning in before the cutscenes starts.
A slight way to make that last run faster, use phase walk mid air to get extra distance and speed, pretty sure there's also a phase walk reset glitch, not too sure haven't played in years

Another phenomenal video Joltz! Thank you for how good of a job you've done at showing people just how dang fun it is to speedrun this series! Hella proud of my fellow runners and all of the work they've put in to make the runs what they are today, and it's good to see them get credit for all their hard work and insane skill. I'm going to go against the grain though and HARD disagree with 1:01, at least personally (as someone who ran Enhanced before running the original). I'm not too invested in BL1 as a whole, so if you overlook the memory leaks and the 2400 enter/mouse presses to set up MoD in Enhanced, you have a game that is far cleaner to play compared to the original. The graphics are way way better, the controls feel natural and intuitive, FOV is actually changeable properly - it just feels better to play for multiple runs compared to how clunky I feel every time I open the original. I know I'm definitely an outlier in the BL Speedrunning community, but we do exist however small! Again, love love love the recent vids and can't wait to see what more you have in store :)

The Enhanced Version is actually extremely stable on consoles (or at least, I've never experienced any crashes or frame drops throughout my play time)
Its a lot easier to optimise for consoles, and we know how great gearbox are at optimising games for pc after bl3...
