My husband just got saved so these have been so great to watch together. I'm learning so much. Non Christians say being a Christian is boring but it's fun! We're having fun, I hope we never lose this flame 🔥
I feel the same way . I've only been in my walk for a year and a half . And it has been amazing ! And Brandon Robbins is very descriptive and makes it easy to understand .
Praise God for His everlasting Word and promises. Above all we praise and thank Him for His only begotten Son, our Lord and Saviour. Being a born again Christian myself, I can tell you that the road to everlasting life is not easy, but if you stay firm in your faith and trust in the One who will never leave you, the journey will be worth it. Hope to see you and your husband some day on the other side. God bless!
JESUS saved me 46 years ago. On Nov 23,1975, to be exact. PRAISE & BLESS HIS HOLY NAME !! I had been a lost church member for 20 years at that time. That means that I have Always been So Grateful to Him that I finally understood. In all this time, no matter what has happened to me & my family good or bad, I have turned to HIM, not away. Loosing a child in a car wreck, having a stroke, & being forced to get a divorce after the stroke - HE is the ROCK of my Salvation !! THANK YOU JESUS !! 🙏🦋
Jesus Christ died 2000 years ago. That's when redemption of people happened. Your family didn't get saved, you just decided to follow Jesus and you must chose Him every day to achieve eternal salvation, because that is guaranteed to anyone. There's he'll for those, who waste their time and refuse God day after day.
@@boem3021 That's not true. Redemption happens every single time a soul is saved from this world, whether 2 minutes after Jesus ascended, of 20 zillion years later - not that His coming will take that long. Salvation is by grace through faith in Him. Following Him is a sign of salvation, not the means to it! If we save ourselves, we are saving ourselves for hell, that's all what humans are capable of.
I facilitated a group at church today on the topic of The Christmas Story and used this video as a resource and the group loved it. Praise God! Thank you Pastor B. Robbins! 💙✝️
When I first was saved, I started reading the Bible. I was very curious on the how and why of things, so I read it again... twice. Then I read two other Bible versions twice (just so I would not miss things). The things I discovered just from the Word were amazing in that they showed God had a plan in everything, even the obscure details! Your meaning of the swaddling cloths to the shepherds was something I would not have known if you didn't show me. Again, another example of God revealing His plans in small details we would have overlooked!! Thank you for your ministry!!
here's something that will help you, read the bible then analyze it with modern research, and study ancient history you'll learn the bible is a collection of stories stolen from mostly ancient Sumeria. even the Jewish god is an old Sumerian god. the tale of Noah and the flood is an old Sumerian tale from around 4000 years before Noahs story.... people who read the bible and believe it;'s true really have not clue about history and reality
Thank you for a beautiful explanation of Jesus Nativity. I am humbled that Jesus died on the cross to pay for my sins. I am joyful that he is seated at the right hand of God. When I die I look forward to bowing down before him, Jesus the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The important thing is that Jesus was born. Do we need to know the specifics? Maybe. But Jesus was born of Mary, His mother. And He truly was the Son of God.
When I love someone, I want to know every detail about them. The more we learn about someone, the more we understand them, the better we can relate to them.
Usual expectations are shattered by God and we receive the greatest gift by totally unexpected means. It is a humbling experience that blesses us by God's Amazing Loving Redemptive Ways. PTL!
Thank you for sharing a lot of details that I've never heard about the birth of Jesus, such as the idea that the shepherds were social outcasts. This video certainly put a new, much-more detailed slant on the Christmas Story.
I love that you brought in the Gospel of Caesar, we are studying Thessalonians and that was a big focus in chapter one. I highly suggest reading Tower of the Flock which tells more about where Jesus was born and why the shepherds knew where it was. Something interesting that I noticed just recently is that the cherubim were the warrior “angelic beings” and a “host” is a group of warriors so it is very possible that when the heavenly host appeared with the angel it was a large group of cherubim which I imagine would have been terrifying.
Honestly, I am blessed by this video. My eyes were opened to the significance of every detail of the birth of our LORD, JESUS. Thank you and may the LORD bless you real good.
I like how you spark one to see things in biblical accounts in a new refreshing way that one doesn't often see or understand. The message I feel about the Shepherds receiving the message about the birth of Jesus and them going and finding things just as it was told them it would be. Is one the Shepherds show us God loves and accepts all of us no matter who we are and that we can come to God to Jesus just as we are. We don't have to be perfect, sinless, holy. We can be accepted by God just as we are because God already knows who we fully are, the person we actually are not who others feel we are. The second thing about the Shepherds being told about the birth of Jesus, their finding things as they were told. Is the gospel message is meant for everyone to hear and believe. Also the Shepherds show us that the gospel teaches can be believed, that it is real and life changing and that we will find things real just as the Bible teaches us, that it's not make belief.
I just read the woman’s comment below and thought… Anyone who says being a Christian is boring hasn’t experienced the fullness of God’s grace, like Peter did after the rooster crowed and he repented. Praise God for you and your husband getting to live this journey together. It’s not boring and it surely isn’t easy, but this is a light and momentary ride at the end of which we’ll receive an unbelievable inheritance and sit in the presence of GOD Himself, and how amazing is that? Thanks for these informative and insightful videos.
2000 years later the town of Nazareth is still small. Good inspiration that the greatest man on earth came from "nowhere". If you get to Israel it's a small town and a little out of the tourist routes. Merry Christmas!
What a wonderful and touching story. The Bible often has deeper meanings than I originally understood from the text. You are my favourite teacher now. ❤️🙏
Thank you Brandon for this great explanation. It blows my mind as to how the God of creation, and Lord of every aspect came into this world in a lowly lonely place. He came for me, as I was like the shepherd discarded, and unwanted. He has blessed me, with His mercy and grace. At the same time I'm so angry at all these prosperity preachers taking this historic event as a joke. Jesus didn't have a place to sleep.
Brandon, once your message hits home. I know Jesus loves me I am not sure why he would, but He does and I love Him. I am trying to be worthy of His love. I know all have sinned and come short of the glory. How can a person be a child of God and not grow? In some ways I have but I still feel like a baby christian. I hear Him saying get away I know you not. I fail at witnessing and know of nothing the Lord could use me for. The lepers and Christ resonated with me. Thank you so much. Even if I get left behind, I am so grateful He loved me and would never deny Him. Your explanations and books of the bible explain things so much more clearly. The bible is not hard to read but some words meant different things a long time ago and you mention what they would have been back then.
Michele P-I thought you were talking about me. You are not alone. I have the same fears. It's either satan making us less than what we could be, or I'm not really saved. I think about this constantly. I'm sorry you have this uncertainty. It's no way to live.
It's funny how we can hear a thing and then carry it around as "truth" for years and years without even knowing we carry it -- sometimes we don't even know what we "think" or "know" till we stumble over it like a lost toy! _("Oh! How did_ that _get there?)_ Great presentation, Brandon Robbins. You are so upbeat and informative and encouraging. The magi came when Christ was about 2 years old! When God told Joseph in a dream to take the child (not baby) into Egypt! God wanted to say “I called My son out of Egypt!” Hosea 11:1 “When Israel was a child then I loved him and called My son out of Egypt 🇪🇬!
The only reason that I have heard to suggest that the Magi arrived when He was 2yrs old was that Herod killed all those under 2. Logically though herod would have wanted to kill a wider age range of children to make sure he killed the newborn. The Magi (mentioned in heroditus’ histories as coming from Babylon, aka ‘the east’ who where arguably the descendants of the same ‘wise men/ magicians’ that Daniel ended up leading) would have been able to make that journey along the trade routes in 4-6 weeks easily and the signs could well have appeared before the birth, so I see no reason to expect the wise men to arrive two years later.
HEROD ACTUALLY DIED IN THE YEAR 1BC. NOT 4BC. THE ORGIONAL ERITINGS OF JOSEPHUS STATE THE YEAR 1BC. YOU CAN FIND IT IN THE BRITISH MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY.
I agree with you. It explains why Harod targeted children two years old and under. Scripture says the wise men came to the Christ child in a house, not a manager or any cave. Yeshua was about two when the Angel of God came to him in a dream and told him to take the CHILD to Egypt
Kataluma... Yes.I was reminded how we Filipinos 🇵🇭 kind of have had houses like that, if I'm not mistaken especially in our provinces during the Spanish period in our country.
That is great news! I pray that God carries you through and that your faith and Love for the LORD stands and thrives through the thick and the thin😊🙏🏼God bless you.
I’m sorry in my previous statement my friends & the church says that Jesus WILL take my worries into his hands xxx God bless Jesus my Saviour xx Helen xx
The way you've told this story is exactly the way I was taught it, by Nuns in a Roman Catholic school. Thank you for verifying a TRUTH told in the CATHOLIC Church 😃
That’s why the Gnostics are important. We need to remember the assemblage of all the books and stories in the New Testament. What writings came before?
Thank you so much for your teaching. Your words are always so soothing. I believe I needed to hear this at this very moment, because as you well said, though I believe and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour, I have been praying for things to change in my life - in so many circumstances. What I've been inclined to do, is 'tell' God what to do because I simply can't see any way through it all, and time drags on... I'm often afraid to pray because I know, beyond the shadow of doubt, that I'll receive another blow from somewhere. There's just so much one can take... Phillipians 4:6-7 says: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and suplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts through Christ Jesus." Therefore, I want to trust that the Almighty will take care of my needs, in His good timing. I have to learn to 'wait on God'. Patience is one of the Fruits of the Spirit we so often overlook...
I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through such a tough time. I am happy to pray along with you. Let me know how I can be praying for you. (or if you'd prefer, you can email your prayer request to me at brandon@brandonrobbinsministry.com)
@@BrandonRobbinsMinistry Dear Brandon, many thanks for your prompt reply, I so appreciate it. Yes, I have had and continue to have unbelievable circumstances happening to me. I have friends say to me that they don't know how I am where I am. I know that I have learnt a lot through my trials and there are times I can clearly see that the Lord is allowing unpleasant things or people hurt me, especially family. Most of the time I'm afraid to pray because after praying it's like a tornado was hovering by my door. I know it's the enemy, but as I get older I feel my strength and stamina deteriorating. Dear Brandon, thank you for offering to pray for me. I will definitely contact you via email. God bless you!
@@angieponders3844 Thank you very much Angie. I use the Lord's name as my mantra when I feel targeted by the enemy. His name is the most powerful weapon against every arrow. I have often thought of ending my life, but calling on His Holy name has kept me sane every time. God bless you!
You filled in a lot "between the lines" for me. What I learned through you is material I wish was taught in church. I'll be looking for more. Thank you!
I like it, just plain wonderful. David whispers "shhhhh, this is not my actual... idk... bye...", Next thing you know David walks outside and the heavens open up, and see that he had made a miracle
Where is the like button? All I see is the word dislike. I really like learning more about the social aspect of the times the scripture. Amen to reexamining our lives to see where we are looking for healing in other things sort of modern day idols. When we look to Him in every aspect of our lives we recieve a little greater salvation. Over the years since I was saved I have come to know that our salvation and sanctification is a process of becoming like Him.
Thank you for this video dear Brandon robbins x I’m a little worried about a small pimple type wort on my back , I have seen a doctor & a hospital doctor & she says not to worry , she’ll cut it out n the new year! Good stuff man. I liked the part about swaddling cloth. Funny how even today the hospital wraps the new born like that & calls it swaddling. Learning the cloth was for the sacrifice makes it even more of a "sign". More humbling. This is why the scriptures say that the Word of God is alive & powerful. We continue to learn from it all of our lives. ♥️
Brilliant information well said👍 I also realised that because all the babies were killed up to the age of 2 , Jesus was the only one of that age at the time he started his ministry. So growing up he would have played with others younger or older than himself. Bless.
It was , I believe, in the tower of the flock where Jesus was born and wrapped in swaddling clothes (these are tightly wrapped cloth around a new born to help it feel secure as well as what was put around lambs ready for the pass over), the shepherds were priestly shepherd , probably Levites, who were in charge of raising Passover lambs. Bethlehem was the place where they came from, Jesus was the Lamb of God who was sacrificed on Passover for the sins of the whole world. Making Him the Passover Lamb. Praise The Lord ,God Bless you brothers and sisters, Brother Gary
This touched my heart you know there arw visionaries that have said that those poor shepherds suffered alot were persecuted before Jesus grew up. They were blamed for the after math when bethlehem got attacked and their new born to 3 yrs old babies were killed. After many years alot of those shepered finaly saw Jesus again and some became deciples.
I traveled in Israel to the non-commercial site of the threshing floor of David outside of Bethlehem our guide was a very very old Jew from the 7-Day war who gave us this information it was the site of the first church of the nativity, it was also the threshing floor of David at the threshing floor there was a lower level and then a level that was even with the Earth but in between them they dug what we would call caves and he showed us how it really was according to Jewish tradition of the birth of Jesus. It is not popular or commercialized because it is not in a city where tourists like to go it was outside of Bethlehem. It made more sense to me than any story I ever heard about the birth of Jesus.
With humility...a fresh set of eyes...five years of studying Koine Greek...buddies who spent that much time or more studying Biblical Hebrew...that one Grad Student(tm) dedicated enough to tackle learning ancient Aramaic for those few verses actually recorded in that language.....
I pray to God that people not wait to last min please seek Jesus. He will make your path straight and will Give you understanding of all thing's accordingly to How He made you as a person. But only if you seek Him holdhardedly and steadfast keeping to His doctrine and that can only be found in the Bible.
I’m sure you didn’t mean to, but you affirmed the Catholic Church. Our faith is not just based on the Bible, but also traditions and words of mouth. Our stained glass windows were never a show of wealth but a way to teach the faith, because not everyone could read. And we’ve always been criticized. Thank you for this.
Thank you so much for this fresh prospective on the ancient nativity story. The dates aren't that important. What's vital is that God loved us SO MUCH He was willing to shed His awesome glory, power and heavenly honor to live as a destitute human in mortal flesh. Then, He suffered ridicule and was ostracized from His own human relatives and community who called Him a bastard, blasphemer and even a lunatic. As if that wasn't bad enough, a horrible conspiracy and betrayal resulted in His suffering unspeakable agony and death by crucifiction although He was guilty of nothing. He did this WILLINGLY, simply out of His love for us. We owe Him EVERYTHING but He gave it ALL to us for FREE!! We need only accept the gift and in gratitude worship and follow Him. Don't delay! Judgement is coming VERY SOON.
I'm glad for you who believe in Jesus but nobody is saved until they get to heaven. Every day is a struggle to keep faith and fight the devil. Don't let your guard down or get smug. The closer you are to God the more the devil wants to lead you astray. Jesus said the way is narrow and many seeds get lost or choked by weeds along the way. Blessed are they who persevere to the end .

Another witless historian who thinks he was there.
Only believe in Jesus, amen and amen. God bless you Brandon.
Christmas is my favorite holiday
Fantastic Biblical picture of The Biblical Account Of Jesus Christ. The Lion Of Judah.
You are a wonderful teacher. I can't believe how much I have learned from your talks. I look forward to them.
Thank you!
So good to listen to your teachings, your knowledge so understandable. Thank You
I’m sorry in my previous statement my friends & the church says that Jesus WILL take my worries into his hands xxx God bless Jesus my Saviour xx Helen xx
This really touched my heart. Thanks Brandon for videos like these. Continue to let God use you to reach others 🙏
“Help me Lord” works for me when I can’t say anything else.
@@queencleo1151 May I ask a question?
You filled in a lot "between the lines" for me. What I learned through you is material I wish was taught in church. I'll be looking for more. Thank you!
So good, so good. You are such a blessing to so many Brandon. Thanks again!
Enjoyed the truth of the passage. Emphasis on memorization so important. OH! That we would do so today!
Thank vyou pastor Brandon I will read Luke
Amazing.....our pastor had a very similar message for the Christmas Eve Service. Dr Luke was an amazing author...
I like it, just plain wonderful. David whispers "shhhhh, this is not my actual... idk... bye...", Next thing you know David walks outside and the heavens open up, and see that he had made a miracle
I am crying, even though I have been a Christian my entire life.
@@BrandonRobbinsMinistry Thank you Brandon for your Prayers x God bless you. Helen .
I love the way Brandon is in love with Jesus Christ it shows in his stories to us… makes me just feel the love even more.✝️❤️😊🙏
Thank you very much for this "insights", Im so happy i ran into your channel, i will learn a lot. God bless! Greetings from Croatia 🙏🇭🇷
Great explanation! Most people think "swaddling cloths" are just baby clothes.
Um no..... "most" people, especially mothers, know you swaddle (wrap)a baby in a blanket (rectangle of cloth) not clothes.
This was just a beautiful message
Good stuff man. I liked the part about swaddling cloth. Funny how even today the hospital wraps the new born like that & calls it swaddling.
Learning the cloth was for the sacrifice makes it even more of a "sign". More humbling.
This is why the scriptures say that the Word of God is alive & powerful. We continue to learn from it all of our lives. ♥️
Thank you for sharing your words. God bless you and your family.
Jesus loves you
Brilliant information well said👍 I also realised that because all the babies were killed up to the age of 2 , Jesus was the only one of that age at the time he started his ministry. So growing up he would have played with others younger or older than himself. Bless.
That was the babies in Bethlehem. He grew up in Nazareth and Egypt before that.
It was only in a town of a few thousand people, where babies were killed.
Praise The Lord ,God Bless you brothers and sisters,
Brother Gary
This touched my heart you know there arw visionaries that have said that those poor shepherds suffered alot were persecuted before Jesus grew up. They were blamed for the after math when bethlehem got attacked and their new born to 3 yrs old babies were killed. After many years alot of those shepered finaly saw Jesus again and some became deciples.
Good man. Keep up the good work.
Fascinating!
WOW! Brandon, brother. God is with you. Your understanding and in Spirit with the words always centers my new heart. Glory too God.
Glory be to God Amen 🙏 🙌 ❤ ✨
This is a very intriguing and quite enlightening. I love this channel.
Praise the Lord our God! Hallelujah!
The Lord our God has come. Let all receive His gift
With humility...a fresh set of eyes...five years of studying Koine Greek...buddies who spent that much time or more studying Biblical Hebrew...that one Grad Student(tm) dedicated enough to tackle learning ancient Aramaic for those few verses actually recorded in that language.....
7:47 Approaching scripture fresh. Checks and balances. Great perspective!
AMEN LORD YESHUA AMEN, THANK YOU GOD.
I pray to God that people not wait to last min please seek Jesus. He will make your path straight and will Give you understanding of all thing's accordingly to How He made you as a person. But only if you seek Him holdhardedly and steadfast keeping to His doctrine and that can only be found in the Bible.
Born in Bethlehem, raised in Nazareth
I’m sure you didn’t mean to, but you affirmed the Catholic Church. Our faith is not just based on the Bible, but also traditions and words of mouth. Our stained glass windows were never a show of wealth but a way to teach the faith, because not everyone could read. And we’ve always been criticized. Thank you for this.
"And we have always been criticized" Really???
Alleluia alleluia alleluia!
المجد لله في الأعالي، وعلى الأرض السلام، والرجاء الصالح لبني البشر
المجد كل المجد لملك المجد يسوع المسيح 🙏💙
Jesus💙💙
I'm glad for you who believe in Jesus but nobody is saved until they get to heaven. Every day is a struggle to keep faith and fight the devil. Don't let your guard down or get smug. The closer you are to God the more the devil wants to lead you astray. Jesus said the way is narrow and many seeds get lost or choked by weeds along the way. Blessed are they who persevere to the end .
Can't find the words so I just say thank you.
Incredible
Thank you
Absolutely brilliant!
