Assembled and Tested this Clone MS361 for a customer. It has good power. I was leaning on it to try and see if it would stall in the cut, but it pulled right through.
I looked at the control lever and the spring, which has a loop in the end of it, must roll over the top of the block on the end of the control lever. Mine just about makes it over the hump but it will not always catch the hump. I am going to hit the back edge of the hump with a file and take off a .001 or so. That should let it catch on the hump in half choke and not drop back down the slope. I have also ordered a complete replacement of parts for the handle and the control lever. I want it to work just like my other Stihl saws. Thanks for the info.
You might want to check and see if the piston is kissing the crank counterweights. Mine was and after 7 tanks the piston fragmented and trashed the engine. It was not hitting the counterweights hard, just kissing them. I caught the problem when I fitted a new piston on the connecting rod. FYI, it bent the rod and destroyed the piston and cylinder. The 361 is a good saw but I like my 360 better because it is lighter and has less problems
Hi, did your 361 have a half choke position? Mine does not. I ca simulate a half choke position by pulling the lever up but sometimes it stays there and sometimes not. If it falls back down it will flood the saw. What should I replace to get a half choke position?
Hi Chris, I'm trying to put this together for a for a friend. With no directions or video it's a bit of a challenge. Is it possible to take a picture for me of what everything looks like with the covers off( sides and top. That would be a huge help. I thank you in advance! Tom
very good, this powerful wall saw.

Did you ever make a video on what brand of chainsaw winch you have and how you installed it and where you bought it.
Not yet Greg. Another thing on the To-Do list.

Yes, the High-Idle position on the 361 works. I built 3 of them and all 3 work correctly. The 661's I built did not have the High-Idle position.
That's pretty cool do you have a link for thy saw to order one
huztl google it.

How is the power?
After 1 year in use, the owner is happy with it. He just bought another one.
