As much as I'd want an official Complete Peanuts Special Collection set apparently two of the specials (My Best Birthday, and Its The Pied Piper) are owned by Paramount (likely due to being Direct To Video releases) Maybe they can pull a complete Rankin Bass and do a dual company release (maybe even include the old movies) but I doubt that would happen (especially since Paramount only owns two unknowns unlike the Rankin Bass set where Warner has 13 and Universal has the ones people actually care about (minus The Year Without a Santa Claus which Warner owns))
That you must remember this trailer is for a SIX hour long documentary about warner bros. (Also i hope your copy of this dvd works ok, because a lot of WB dvds around the late 2000s were victim to disc rot due to the manufacturer they were using at the time, again i hope theres nothing wrong with the dvd.)
Interesting. I didn't know an uncut version of that special existed. As a kid I owned the Paramount Snoopy Double Feature VHS that had "You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown" as the first special prior to "Short Summer". I may pick up that 60's DVD if I see it for a reasonable price online, I had no idea it had gotten so expensive and I really would like to have this since I noticed these older DVDS have new featurettes that probably had never been seen before. At least they're new to me because I never had these DVDs when they first came out. For example, I recently found a DVD on my shelf that I picked up somewhere (maybe a used bookstore) ages ago, it's not a compilation of specials but it does say it's a Remastered version of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" with a "Making Of" segment as the special feature that delves into how they turned the musical into an animated cartoon. I already had a VHS of the special as a kid and I've held onto it for sentimental value, my VHS copy of the Snoopy Double feature that I have now was newer from the Marketplace site Mercari because apparently I had gotten rid of my old copy for some reason and I felt the urge to see those two again. I know with these DVDS, even if they're out of date in 2024, they're likely superior to the VHS versions that existed before but I can't find it in me to get rid of anymore Peanuts VHS I had as a kid because they've been my gateway into the non-holiday specials and I want to keep the stuff from my childhood that was important to me.
They should do a series akin to the complete peanuts called the complete peanuts specials that comes in 8 vols with every peanuts special in 4K at 60fps
These peanuts movies are a major part of our childhood hood
These are tv specials not movies.
I love peanuts

At least, this set beats these old Paramount remasters from the '90's.
Where’s The Courage The Cowardly Dog DVD Showcase
FYI, the Peanuts DVD website currently redirects to the WB Kids RUclips channel.
Oddly enough, the Peanuts clip isn't on the WB Kids channel
