For the prewar era, an 8.0 litre making 400 horsepower is quite impressive. The 1st Dodge Viper made the same and that's with 90's technology and 10 cylinders
Probably the best looking car Bentley's ever made. Just keep making this. For the next 100 years. And I'm someone who hates Aston for making the same car over and over.
Those Astons were fine. I think he's referring to all of the identical Astons from the DB7 all the way up through the latest 2018 Vantage (which finally looks a bit different--although not better).
There's only one thing more badass than this coupe. It's the 2008+ Brooklands. Unluckily, villain Bentley's are gone, we have the expensive whore Continental GayT.
The power output claimed is way off. If the BBC researcher had bothered to read a book, they could have more accurately suggested 200 to 215 bhp, 203 to 220 ps, 149 to 160 kW.
to me, the aluminum dash is actually one of the coolest things about this car. incredible craftsmanship inside and out, beastly, ...just a negative host
It's not "isane ", it's wrong. 200 to 220 max. If it had 400 it would do a lot more than 125. I've raced them at Oulton Park, and they could not keep up with my Riley, my posh mates Bugatti, or even a Morgan 3 wheeler!

Much better than the Rolls Royce 6.75 V8 making 224hp.
It would if it was true. They made about 200 bhp. The BBC don't bother checking facts but the figures are in plenty of books.

Before anyone asks:
Gnossienne No. 1 by Erik Satie
What a gorgeous car. Perfect coupe design in my eyes

1:59 400 bhp and 2.5 tonnes. Sounds like pretty much every midrange EV SUV out there.

I doubt gay men drives Continental GT. 🤔

Usual charmless and churlish review from the oddly voiced one.

I had the same aluminum dash on my Australian sports car of the '70s lol.
Wow Tiff looks so young.
The Continental T is a great cruiser with a beautiful interior, this idiot thought it was a track car lol
What a pachyderm, handling seems at the max at 5:20... majestic car anyway.
This is a Continental T.
I wonder if Audi will allow Bentley to make another car like this. Put a Electric engine like the Spectre. I love poth of them.
Hey you scrolling through the comments.... I hope you have a great day, stay awesome!
Em Em thank you n a good life to u 🙏❤️
What the songs name at 0:55 ?
Wow 400 HP in the 20s and the 30s.....That is isane.
2 and a half tons it had to shift though and you wouldnt have wanted to push it that much with them old brakes

What is the piano song? I've heard it before but I can't recall where or what the name is
Eric Satie - Gnossiennes (Nr. 1. to be precise)
It was the original top gear theme tune before clarkson and co took the programme on.
That wonderful Bentley engine ruined by a stupid Blur song. Scandal!!

*yuck* at dat R-R grille on the Arnage T. Thank Kaz that Bentley are owned by the VAG Group now.
A somewhat disappointing presenter.
