  • Train travel is becoming increasingly popular. Even more so now that train operators recently announced additional connections between major European cities. Thalys, which will soon be rebranded to Eurostar, is one of the well known operators in Western Europe. We took the brand new ‘Ruby’ Thalys train from Amsterdam Central Station to Paris Gare du Nord. The new cabin really feels spacious and the design is very nice! We really could get used to these 3.5 hour 300 km/h train trips! Check out this video to see our experience in Standard Class. And don’t forget to check other train Trip Reports and Reviews!

    The interior of this train looks much more appealing than the older version. Can't wait to ride.

      Generally speaking for Europe, it’s not very common to have an embassy at the train station.

    Is it same train (also the interior) for Amsterdam Centraal to Disneyland Paris (Marne-la-Vallée Chessy)?

      This train also operates the route to Disneyland Paris. But it could also be another type. So not 100% guaranteed. You could contact Eurostar to see if they can advise.

    Whats also strange...if you travel from central station to marne la valee the prize is the same when departing from schiphol airport.

      Yes you’re right! It seems Eurostar doesn’t price point-to-point. Mostly prices seems to be based on going from one country to the other. Although sometimes there are slight price differences between the station within one country. Probably, demand also plays a role here.

      Its mainly demand that sets the price, but they have refused to give away how.
      Time for a law that forces them, similar to the one already existing for planes.

    Quick question to WHOEVER has been here. Is there anywhere I can leave my luggage in lockers? I am going for the day and would like to store my luggage before coming back to board another train.

    Hi. Was there a passport control during this route?Thanks

    • @InsideFlyerOfficial
      @InsideFlyerOfficial  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your question. During the time of our travels there was no passport check. However, sometimes you need to show your ID to proof that the train ticket is actually yours.

    Was there any passport/visa control?

      @InsideFlyerOfficial  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for your question! There’s no specific passport or visa check when I traveled in this train. They did check my ticket, but I did not need to show any ID. Although they can ask for proof of identification.
