It’s a reference to God Rugals ending in Capcom vs Snk 2. When he absorbed the Satsui No Hado he was “possessed” by the Hado because he was undisciplined in the art of Ansatsuken. So his sense of self was shattered.

God Rugal and Shin Akuma are both sucky characters in CVS 2 because when you hit them they loose so much damage that they are die super quick, they are also banned in tournaments so that says something as well. But God Rugal should have been in CVS 1 as a ratio 4 character for sure.
