Very clear instructions ... VERY hard to execute! I added some new swear words to my vocabulary and then had to go to VW to do it. In South Africa I paid R54 for the battery at a Pharmacy, VW charged me R280 for EXACTLY the same item and refused to install the one I purchased. Deliberate strategy.

Can you show how to disassemble the key fob so that the contacts inside can be cleaned? It seems to me that BOTH chrome side pieces need to come off but I can't get the non-battery side piece to release in the same way.

Im not sure if the fob can be disassembled more than what it shown in the video without breaking it

use WD 40 or similar when reconstructing so next time not so difficult
